So I transferred over from the pre and backed up contacts to google. On ym pre, I guess it linked some accounts that were overlapping together (facebook, gmail, regular phone contct, etc.). Is there a way to automatically accept ll the suggested links instead of going into each contact and manually linking them? It is rather annoying and I don't have many contacts (just shy of 200).

I want to link all of my facebook contacts so they show up in my gmail contacts? Otherwise, the contact on my phone from Facebook may be, and in many cases is, missing lots of relevant information. For example, many people don't keep their full address, or their phone number, on Facebook. If this is so, then no phone number or address is stored on my phone for the many friends who got in my contact list via the Facebook Motoblur magic. I can update these manually, via the phone screen-keyboard, but I would like to use the much easier-to-access PC to gmail user interface. But alas, I cannot, as all of these Facebook contacts don't show up on the gmail list at all.

With a TextView you would simply set the android:autoLink to the desired settings:

but I can't find any equivalent for WebView.
I would like to know if there is an option of setting an auto icon link of my application in the user's desktop, after installing it? The only way I know to do it, is that the user could drag it manually to his desktop from the applications list. Is there any way of doing it automatically for the user(without his touch)?

And ran in on my phone and in my emulator and the message window opened but did not have the email address. I went to add some numbers today and when I go to link to the persons facebook profile, all of the sudden it won't link. It'll say "linked" then I click done (though it lags when I go to click done) and then nothing happens.

And now the picture doesn't show up on a contact, it's not linked with Facebook anymore and when I try to link it says I have no friends..?

View 1 Replies View RelatedSo my girlfriend got herself a new HTC Aria a few days ago and the thing won't let her link her contacts to their Facebook profiles. All the contacts are stored on her phone, not the SIM has 2.1 stock. You type in the person's name after tapping the 'link profile' button or whatever it says, and no profiles show up in the search box. I noticed that a similar post in the HTC Hero forum, but no one seemed to have any luck over there. And yes, I've gone into the settings and enabled everything that I know to enable regarding syncing, facebooking, and anything else along on those lines.

I am signed in to Facebook through "Facebook for HTC Sense" (when I click "Add Account" and choose "Facebook," it won't do anything) but when I go to a contact and try to link to a friend, there is no one on the list. I have tried logging out and back in, then restarting the phone, but that hasn't fixed the problem. Also, is anyone else having the keyboard refuse to work when trying to send a text?

View 3 Replies View RelatedI have no issue syncing my FB contacts to my phone. They are all on my phone and in Contacts list. My issue is I can not link them to contacts I have already on my Phone. I click on FB name and it says "link contact" but it only lets me Link it to other FB contacts! It doesn't let me link them to phone entries I already have stored on my phone.

In call history, I clicked the little file picture and added their name, saved it as a google contact, and saved it. If I go to People, the name doesnt appear. So I went to the People app, entered their info, made it a google contact, saved. Still didnt work. Even manually synced my google account. So then I changed the "view" to show every option and slowly ticked off each box til I realized that only if "show auto gmail contacts" is ON does my new contact appear. It was also "linked" to 3 other contacts (the same one that I kept adding over and over wondering why it wasnt appearing). So, of course I do NOT want everyone I've ever e-mailed in my contact list, so the question is, how can I add/save any contacts and make them appear in People?

I have read that the notification area should now show an icon indicating that there are 'matched contacts suggestions' but it does not. I can go through individual contacts and link them, but I need to do them all in one go...

A couple questions about ZenEXP,
1) why can't I link my contacts with facebook? I'm not talking about syncing them I'm talking about linking them so that their profile pics come up on under "people" on my phone, every other ROM I've used does this just fine but Zen does not for some reason.
2) Do I need an app from the market to see how fast my processor is running? I've seen where some people have run into troubles of having their processor redlined all the time

I have an HTC EVO now, but I'm switching over to Verizon soon and was looking into either the Droid X, Droid 2, Fascinate, or Incredible. I was curious, can you link your contacts to people's Facebook pages like HTC can? The thing I like most is having their profile picture show when they call, rather than the standard Android logo. If someone can answer as soon as they can, that will be great seeing I will be picking up one of these phones tomorrow!

Tap on email (in email to, sender, email body, or website, etc..)Window pops up and has two options

when Contact selected, it opens the contact in View mode so we can see contact details.
-- COMPOSE
when Compose is selected, it opens list of e-mail apps (OR if a default is selected already, runs that app)
If you type a message first, you cant then get into your contacts to link and send it, you have to type and try an find the contact via the keyboard - bonkers! So many little isssues thats making me think sell it and get iphone ummm?
