Sep 5, 2010Is there a way to make it so that the facebook contacts, etc, don't show up in your default contact list? I just want to show the names and phone numbers of the people that I have actually programmed into my phone, not everyone that I have on facebook.

My only issue so far is that even though I've selected in the People app only to display Google contacts there seems to still be Facebook contacts appearing, albeit only the ones who have entered phone numbers into their Facebook profile. This causes duplicate entries for the same person in messaging apps (default and Handcent) and in the People app it seems to prefer to show the Facebook contact details rather than the Google ones.

May 20, 2010Is there a way to import the facebook contacts stored on my HTC Desire handset to google by utilising the auto-sync feature? I have synced my phone with facebook and now want to transfer the email addresses and birthdays of my facebook friends to google contacts. I understand from reading posts on other forums that there are a few ways to do this, such as manually importing and exporting csv files (Sync/merge Facebook contacts with Gmail contacts - Gmail Help) or by way of a script (Import your Facebook Phonebook into your Google Contacts using Greasemonkey on Firefox), but this will require a manual update whenever I have a new facebook contact. Seeing that my phone could auto-sync with both FB and Google, is there a way to automatically transfer new FB contacts to google whenever I hit the "Sync" button on my phone?

Otherwise, the contact on my phone from Facebook may be, and in many cases is, missing lots of relevant information. Jul 25, 2010So my girlfriend got herself a new HTC Aria a few days ago and the thing won't let her link her contacts to their Facebook profiles. All the contacts are stored on her phone, not the SIM has 2.1 stock. You type in the person's name after tapping the 'link profile' button or whatever it says, and no profiles show up in the search box. I noticed that a similar post in the HTC Hero forum, but no one seemed to have any luck over there. And yes, I've gone into the settings and enabled everything that I know to enable regarding syncing, facebooking, and anything else along on those lines.

May 25, 2010Since I updated to 2.1, I am not able to link my contacts to my Facebook friends. I am signed in to Facebook through "Facebook for HTC Sense" (when I click "Add Account" and choose "Facebook," it won't do anything) but when I go to a contact and try to link to a friend, there is no one on the list. I have tried logging out and back in, then restarting the phone, but that hasn't fixed the problem. Also, is anyone else having the keyboard refuse to work when trying to send a text?

Aug 8, 2010A couple questions about ZenEXP,
1) why can't I link my contacts with facebook? I'm not talking about syncing them I'm talking about linking them so that their profile pics come up on under "people" on my phone, every other ROM I've used does this just fine but Zen does not for some reason.
2) Do I need an app from the market to see how fast my processor is running? I've seen where some people have run into troubles of having their processor redlined all the time

Oct 13, 2010I have an HTC EVO now, but I'm switching over to Verizon soon and was looking into either the Droid X, Droid 2, Fascinate, or Incredible. I was curious, can you link your contacts to people's Facebook pages like HTC can? The thing I like most is having their profile picture show when they call, rather than the standard Android logo. If someone can answer as soon as they can, that will be great seeing I will be picking up one of these phones tomorrow!

Jul 20, 2010Came over to the X from a Storm 2, the verizon rep brought over my blackberry contacts to the X.The problem is, when i go to phone, these numbers show up, but if i go in thru contacts it only shows contacts i have setup since i purchased the phone.I did a search and could not find this exact problem, any other former BB users have this problem?

Jun 4, 2010Ok, so this is my first time with Android. When I first set the phone up with Facebook, it pulled EVERY friend I have and puts them in my phones contacts. After searching, I found that I can unsync them in my 'all' contacts list etc, but they are still showing up when I push 'PHONE' at the bottom of the home screen. They are behind the dialer. Is there anyway to set that screen to show recently dialed numbers or favorites or something?

Jun 29, 2010This feature on my desire has never worked but im only just getting round to asking why. it happens when i get a facebook notification and drag down the notification pane from the top of the screen. when i get a "new poke" notification and tap the message it takes me to my facebook home page and i can respond to the poke, that works fine. however when i get a "new message" notification and i tap that it just redirects me to a blank page. ie the weblink doesnt work. is there anyway to edit the weblink for this notification so that it redirects me to my facebook homepage?
