I have a 16gig sdmicro class 6 card that I want to install into the evo to replace the 8gig. The question is how would I go about doing this? Should I copy the contents of the memory card on my pc and just transfer it to the new sdmicro?

I purchased a 32gb micro SD for my pantech flex and I started adding music to it and files seem to keep getting corrupt after awhile is there a glitch with the flex or do I have to do it a certain way I tried putting it in my pc first to add files and then I tried USB cable but I only used MTP so far.. What I should do I also transferred them with es explorer.

View 3 Replies View RelatedMost of the specs for tablets which have a micro SD media slot do not give any details about it. I'm generally wondering if a slot labelled "microSD" will accept a micro SDHC card (as opposed to a micro SD card). I know, for example, that some older memory card readers won't read the SDHC cards, even if they have an SD slot. I'm not sure about the tablets however.
Example of some of the tablets that I'd be interested in knowing this about are: Acer Iconia A700 or A210, and Toshiba Excite.
Any dual sim adapter for 2x micro sims to 1x micro sim? I have a Galaxy S3 with a micro sim slot, so most dual sim adapters don't fit. Would a iphone dual sim adapter work? Or don't they have the SDK for android?
View 2 Replies View RelatedI want to add a contact just to my phone and not to my gmail account.Whenever I start to add a contact (phone, 208544.menu, +contact, create new contact,) the next thing it forces me to do is to choose an account to create the new contact under and it lists my 3 gmail accounts.I have no option to just put it on the phone.Any ideas here?We do the same thing on the Incredible but it gives us the gmail account and the phone to choose from but not on the Motorola.

*Stretch the images within them when I make the imageButton bigger. or
*Replace the images with larger versions based on the phones screen size (Note I say size not density)

I am hoping that there is something predictable i'm doing wrong, but i seem to have more "info" on picture then on the preview.I have an app basically based on the CameraPreview code. (1.5!) When I take a picture, the resulting image has more content then i saw on the preview. To clarify: Say i'm looking at something with lines, and while looking at the preview i see line 4 to 10. After taking the picture it suddenly is clear i've shot lines 5 to 11. I'm trying to sync something I draw ontop of the view (a line-drawing) with what i'm photographing, and I can't get it to match like this. The newest example has some extra code involving "getSupportedPreviewSizes". I can't use this because of the API version: I'm coding for min. 3, and that one is from 5.

Going by the high score list, it looks as if upwards of 29000 is possible. Can anyone give me any hints as to how I can get beyond my current level?

View 4 Replies View RelatedMy internal storage is currently 337 MB. I was planning on buying a bigger SD card, either 16GB or 32GB. I'm very new to everything with Androids and have never been big with computers. I read that if I want a lot of applications and everything that I would have to root the phone because the internal storage is so limited and then move everything to the SD card. I tried rooting the phone, it didn't work (I didn't mess up anything with the phone, probably just missed a step), but considering I still know so little about all this I decided it would be better to wait with rooting. Will I be fine with not rooting my phone and picking up a bigger SD card or will my phone run very slow once I start installing a lot of stuff?

I use this view in a rotation animation. During the rotation the parts that were not on the screen before animating the view will become visible.
Is there a way to achieve this effect with the android framework?
I tried to set my parent layout much bigger then the screen and it is working. This will make somethings a little bit uncomfortable but it could work. The next problem now is that my layout still starts at the left side of the screen. I can't think of a method to make the layout to expand itself to the left and the right of the screen.
Just got the phone over the weekend and love it! so far the best phone i have ever owned. is there any way to make the notification bar bigger? i have big fingers and so far that seems to be my only problem is trying to drag that bar down to see my notifications. if it could be like 5 pixels or so wider it would be much better.

I installed it factory and no luck. Read some forums and formated it to exfat, then ntsf, both read fine and can store up to 4gb but no more, tried all the various apps to get it to store when downloading but always get size limit error. How can I get my OS to allow bigger than 4gb to download to my 32gb sd card. Note: I have no issues when trying to move files from PC to phone, just downloading them from the Internet either by download site or torrent. Got some movies and software I need to get. OS is ics 4.0.4 rooted stock. I am a good pc geek but limited on android/linux skills.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI love my Evo and I also love the resolution and screen size but one thing I don't understand is, why don't phones with larger screen sizes and resolutions have more room to put stuff on the screen? I mean, every page of the Evo can hold up to 16 (4x4) singles icons and more space is needed for widgets... but like with a computer monitor if you get a bigger computer monitor that also has a higher native resolution, you'll be able to put more icons on the screen. I don't understand why that isn't so with the Android UI. And, if you look at the icons on the pages... the actual square needed to put the icon there is usually a lot bigger than the icon itself. The only things I have seen that let you put more stuff on the pages are the Android tablets... even the Dell Streak which has a 5" screen and is still a phone can put more stuff on the page. I also saw a awesome hack for the iPad which you can get a crap load more icons and pages. So I am hoping that there will be a hack for this in the future. I will even root the phone if I have to.

Today I got a 16GB Class 6 SD card in the mail, one to both max out storage and to settle a hunch -- that the class of card (i/o speed) would noticeably affect how the Eris responded. Class 6 cards are about 30 - 50% more cash than Class 2, but triple the rated write speed. Just happened to find one cheap enough to try it out...
Wow. Not only has everything from the pattern unlock screen to the browser become far more responsive, but the stutter for actions in the Sense UI is gone.
Now, for the circumstances... formatted the new card and copied the entire old card's contents onto it w/USB & my desktop. Added another 2GB of music while mounted... still slick. Mind you, tasks themselves don't happen any faster... just the delay between them I'd gotten used to, vanished...
Am I missing something? I'd hate to get anyone's hopes up, if this is just something that only resembles a performance tweak. Either the system or software use SD memory more than I'm aware, or this is all in my head. All I can say for certain is that my Eris is much nicer to use now.
since the Nexus One has more screens then other Androids... does it require a bigger size picture for the wallpaper? or it automatically fits whatever size picture you transfer into your SD card?

However when I updated the app through the Android market, my users experienced crashes.Since there is no way to properly debug this procedure I asume the crash is caused by old data which is not being removed from the device (probably from the onsavedstate bundle?!).Is there a way to do a "clean/total" reinstall without having the user to do it manually?
