I am a complete idiot and managed to send my weather widget to the trash by accident. I managed to get it back but now it only displays the weather for one of the cities I added, Pasadena, CA, as opposed to displaying my current location. I've deleted the Pasadena location several times to no avail as it remains there.

So since the 2.1 OTA my weather widget will display the city, but no weather icon. if i sync it manually, it will show up. with 1.5 it would update every 3 hours, regardless if i had Background data on or off (i normally keep it off).
so now with 2.1 it wont sync unless i have BG data on, or do it manually. any way around this?
My HTC weather widget (the one included with the flip clock) is definitely not updating. I've tried different configurations of the HTC widget, and they don't update either. A friend of mine is having the same problem. I even did a factory reset to see if that would resolve the issue to no avail. Anyone else having this problem?

Ok I realy like the update. But I am missing the weather part on the stock, sense UI, clock. I used astro to check for it an it isn't even listed any more. Is there anywhere to download just that piece (widget)? Thanks in advance for any help. My Sense home page just doesn't look right with out it.

Does anyone know where to get it. I had it before and thought it was in the market. I also did a search for the .apk you would think Google would put there products at the top of the page!

It force closes, thereby rendering it useless and freezing everything up. Anyone find any solutions yet? I really love that clock widget and want to keep it up there with updated weather, fix for force close problem on weather widget on 2.1!believe i just fixed thbis problem.goto applications, sort by name. goto "weather provider" and clear data.then, i added my widget again. i tapped it, but the clock came up instead of weather. on the desk clock, tap the area under the clock where the weather WOULD be. then you have to add a city. i just added trenton, because it's in NJ, and it wasn't picking up my GPS location yet..after adding that, a few seconds later it realized where i was via GPS, then bam, i refreshed and everything was fine and no more crashing!

I've read posts of people having the weather app force close or the clock not displaying the right city but I haven't found one where the entire widget is gone. After looking in the widgets folder the only clock widget i have is an analog clock.
I thought one of the new cool features was the weather floating across the screen and now i dont even have a clock! Is there anywhere I can download the HTC stock clock/weather app? I know there is a million clock apps and weather apps but I actually want the stock one.
I dont want to take the phone to Verizon because all I ever deal with is incompetent people there and I'd prefer fixing this on my own if possible.

I click on the widget and bring up the settings and check the "Update Automatically" I get a "Data Warning"- This may result in additional charges from your wireless provider. Enable automatic download of weather data? and I click yes. Yet it wont save and it keeps coming unchecked after I exit the widget. I even tried hitting now and I tried a soft reset.
View 12 Replies View RelatedI updated to v2 of the 2.1 leak several days ago. Since the update, I have noticed that the weather/clock widget that changes depending on your location, no longer works. All it says is "My Location" where the weather should be. I tried removing the widget from the home screen and replacing it, yet that didn't work. When replacing it, I was given the choice of weather for "Add a city", new york, and my location and I chose my location yet the weather never updated. In the weather app, there is also no screen for the leather in my current location, just New york, which can be deleted.

The android widgets only show an analog clock and I can't find any widgets under HTC widgets. Nothing. At all. No widgets whatsoever... Anybody had this issue, can help me out here? On my news and weather app the weather does not show up therefore does not show up in the multimedia dock at night. I have tried zip code and geolocation. It keeps saying when i refresh weather info unavailable. IS anyone else having this problem? This just started happening yesterday morning prior to that i had no problems with it. My problem is that this dial list is too sesnsetive : it is enough to touch a name and puff it starts dialing right away. This way I started call by accident people that I did not really want to call. Can this smart dial be made less touch sensetive. Or better: an option when the phone will respond "do you want to call this person?" or something
