Jan 23, 2010I have been noticing that my droid has been slowing down lately.I checked my advanced app killer at it says that I have 40M available when I have only a few apps running.It used to be around 80M.I have cleared cache from the browser and other apps.How much memory is needed to run these phones smoothly?How much total memory is on the phone?I have really enjoyed this site.I think I would be lost without it.

Does anyone know a webshop which sells these and would send the phone to abroad (Finland)?We won't be getting this phone until couple of months and I would need a new phone now. The Hero will be available in couple of weeks, but it's memory is so small (512megs) so it doesn't really suit me.

Nov 29, 2009I'll be getting a new Eris in a couple of weeks and am very excited!I have a question that is kind of random, but I have always liked the very cool 'flip' animation on the analog clock in the Sense UI when the time changes.I was watching this vid that compares the three 'Hero' phones and I noticed that the only phone that showed an animation was the original Hero. The other two did not actually flip when the number changed.Can the flip animation be turned on and off, or does the Eris simply not have a clock animation for some reason?

Dec 4, 2009My alarm clock does not ring when i set it. I do use TasKiller but I don't kill the clock app when I'm expecting it to ring. Its unreliable and its the only thing i absolutely hate about this phone. Is anyone else having this problem? seems like something petty to visit the VZ tech for, but i've been late to work too many times since getting my phone.

Jan 17, 2010I've just recently cast by Blackberry Storm aside for a Droid ErisSo far, the only thing I'm really missing is that my Storm had a BEAUTIFUL charging dock (cradle). It hasn't been easy to find one for the Eris, though I did order one from eBay. What I'll really miss, though, was that the Storm automatically converted into a full-screen clock when plugged in. While I did figure out how to keep the home screen lit while charging, it's not quite as effective bedside clock as the storm was. The similar feature (weather station/clock) on the Moto Droid was the ONLY thing pulling me to that device instead, but I hold out hope that an app will be developed to add the function I'm looking for.
I ordered something similar to this:HTC Droid Eris Desktop Dock - eBay (item 220541737073 end time Jan-17-10 18:15:17 PST)It's not as aesthetically pleasing as my Storm's cradle was, but I think it'll do.Any suggestions for a good clock app or a better dock? The t-mobile mytouch docking station looks pretty cool, but I'm not sure the Eris will fit.

May 14, 2010How many people here are having an issue with the clock/built in weather widget here? I for one am. It force closes, thereby rendering it useless and freezing everything up. Anyone find any solutions yet? I really love that clock widget and want to keep it up there with updated weather, fix for force close problem on weather widget on 2.1!believe i just fixed thbis problem.goto applications, sort by name. goto "weather provider" and clear data.then, i added my widget again. i tapped it, but the clock came up instead of weather. on the desk clock, tap the area under the clock where the weather WOULD be. then you have to add a city. i just added trenton, because it's in NJ, and it wasn't picking up my GPS location yet..after adding that, a few seconds later it realized where i was via GPS, then bam, i refreshed and everything was fine and no more crashing!

Jan 6, 2010When I have an HTC Clock widget on my home screen the time does not update fluidly. The clock will display the correct time only after I've unlocked the phone and given it several seconds to update. If I swipe over to another screen, wait any period of time (the longer the better), and swipe back; the clock will display the time at which I left that screen and again needs several seconds before it leaps to the correct time. I've tested this theory on the native Android clock widget and it worked correctly. IMO, it defeats the purpose of having the HTC clock widget when the clock in the notifications bar is always accurate. I am also using ATK but I've made sure the Clock process/app is in the ignore list.

My girlfriends phone still has the option and I even tried to clear defaults and clear data from clock and ht sense and all that and it still doesn't let me. May 18, 2010After updating to the 2.1 ota update my entire clock and weather widget is gone. I've read posts of people having the weather app force close or the clock not displaying the right city but I haven't found one where the entire widget is gone. After looking in the widgets folder the only clock widget i have is an analog clock.
I thought one of the new cool features was the weather floating across the screen and now i dont even have a clock! Is there anywhere I can download the HTC stock clock/weather app? I know there is a million clock apps and weather apps but I actually want the stock one.
I dont want to take the phone to Verizon because all I ever deal with is incompetent people there and I'd prefer fixing this on my own if possible.
