I would have to say my favorite part of the new update is I am able to edit words in my user dictionary. I hated in 1.5 if you typed something in wrong you were out of luck. What is your favorite part?

I have a Droid Eris that i just got with the 2.2 leak i think well the phone was acting up so i reinstalled the leak now i cant get pass the activation part. if i hit activate the screen goes black and i cant touch anything to make it go back on i have to take out the battery but emgency calls work fine but its only 4 emergency so im asking is there any way to bypass the activation or a way to go back to 1.5 plz help me i really like the phone i would like 2 mainly use it 4 music. N i dont have verizon as my servce so cant go 2 them 4 help or can i?

-Bonsi Blast - Greatt game to pass some time
-Advanced Task Killer - Works perfect for me, Ends Applications that are running in the background
-i Music - Best Music app - Allows you to download MP3 for free
-Shaazam - Displays song titles for the unknown - works awesome with i Music
-Sports Tap - has a great widget that allows you to just show your current fav team (i have bruins, shows live game score in widget and also sends alerts during game to your notifcation bar)

I couldn't find this widget anywhere in 2.1. Also, is there any app/widget that is similar to the one im talking about from 1.5?

And in those 3 months, there have been probably thousands more new apps out there for our phone.So, what are the favorites? And what are must-haves? This goes for games as well. Are there games that are still getting constant play on your phone?In my opinion, Handcent and Shapewriter seem to be my favorite and necessary ones. As for games, I keep playing Cestos.

I don't get the little favorite option. My favorites home screen works, but on the call>menu I have People and Call History, but no Favorites button? When the Verizon upgrade came up, the first time I did not use the option to clear data. Big mistake. Make sure you clear data when upgrading to 2.1.

I'm using an Eris at the moment, and favorites that were populated by default shows a card and prompts me for the desired action. I realize that selecting the name below the icon allows me to choose different actions, but I have very poor accuracy in trying to tap on just the name, so for contacts that I've added that I'm forced to choose a default action, it's very difficult for me to choose an alternate action.
The instruction manual says to "press and hold" the contact to change the default action, but that selects the entire widget to move or discard.
Does anyone know how to change the default action to prompt me each time I open a specific favorite contact?
I've seen this question for the Hero too, but with no answers. Posted on the HTC forum, but that's looking rather un-promising.
How do I delete a single user from the favorite widget? I can delete the entire widget but not a single user.
View 3 Replies View RelatedAfter the update when i hit the phone icon, the "favorites" icon used to be at the bottom right after the green call tab. now there is an icon for call history.
i cannot for the life of me get it back. verizon says it was lost after the upgrade. i put the "people" icon on my now when i need to call a friend who is on my "favorite" list, i hit that icon, it brings me to all contacts and at the bottom i then have to depress favorites which brings up groups, then hit favorites. like 4 steps to make a phone call?
anybody figure out how to get the favorite icon back on the phone screen?
How can you make it so when you tap on a favorite person in the widget it gives you the choice to call or or sms?
View 3 Replies View RelatedSo through a weird assortment of events i managed to crack the screen on my Eris. But this is the trippy part, I didnt break the glass but the touch sensors underneath. So now i am unable to use the menu or home buttons and the entire left part of my screen and more. I am unable to unlock my device in anyway that i know(menu button, the slider). Is there any other way to unlock it? I now have 11 unread texts and 4 voicemails that I desperately want to view. Oh and I know some of you won't be happy about what I'm about to say but.... I took the leap to the moto droid. I had the chance to get it on a 1 year because I didnt get insurance and I went for it. I will really miss my Eris but the keyboard lag was just killing me.
View 11 Replies View RelatedIn my app, I have to present a few numbers from a .csv file that's accessible from the web. Now, this .csv is quite big. I don't want to download and process the whole thing, there's no point. My numbers are always in the beginning of the file, in well specified positions - lets say position 5 to 10.
Could you give me some tips on how to implement this? I know how to download the whole thing, but don't know how to download only a part of it.
I finished my boot animation and uploaded it to YouTube, so I thought I'd share it again. (Last time I embedded a .gif file, and it wouldn't play on the DROID.)
View 1 Replies View RelatedI've been quietly lurking around, enjoying my simple 2.2 leak Droid X. But, I've always known that eventually I want to root it and install ROMs and themes and whatnot. The problem is, I don't know the correct sequence of hacks/mods to get to my desired end product. I also don't know what the current best method is for accomplishing each part of the sequence. My desired end product would be something like a rooted Droid X with Vanilla Froyo and flyX and whatever other speed tweaks are available. I'd also like to keep my apps and settings that I have now, if that's possible. What I'm asking for is a simple list of things to do to get to that end product. I don't need the detail of how to do each one, I can figure that out myself (of course, if you want to provide links, that's be appreciated too).
