I've done searches on the market, used the barcode on websites, and tried through appbrain, but I can't seem to find it in the market to download. Am I the only one? Can someone share the latest version of the apk file to download? That is possible since its free, right? I don't want to be out of line...

I came across this new launcher today called ADW and it is now pretty stable since it is free in the market place (was only available for rooters before). Its pretty similar to froyo
After tweaking with some of the settings I have gotten the speed to be VERY close to that of LauncherPro Beta
Battery life seems MUCH better than LauncherPro. Mine was last unplugged 16 hours ago and I am at 75% with moderate txting and web browsing.
FOR PEOPLE HAVING TRUBLE WITH THE SETTINGS: I have found settings that work WELL for me. These settings make this thing FLY for me!
Desktop Scrolling Speed: 374
UnCheck Live Wallpaper SUpport
Desktop Overshoot: 39
Drawer Zoom Effect Speed: 401 (the only thing in the launcher that needs work.)
Uncheck new drawer
Check animated drawer
Check fast drawer
This launcher has SO MANY CUSTOMIZABLE FEATURES!
This is not as speedy as LauncherPro Beta but this is just starting out and should get faster!
Check it out very cool! Oh and it has a setting to remove the labels from the icons!
Is there anyway to get helix launcher on 1.5? Could anyone upload the .apk file for me to try?
View 9 Replies View RelatedHello everyone, my names Nick, and I just wanted to ask a few questions. Back in february my wife and I bought 2 droid eris'. Now, we're very happy with the phones. Before these we had samsung delves. So these are night and day with quality. But as most anything, things get bigger and better. Of course the new droids out, it kind of makes the Eris, an outcast it seems. So we've been playing around with a few launchers like launcherpro and adw launcher. So far we both like the launcherpro, and might upgrade to the plus for the widgets. Does anyone with launcherpro plus, possibly tell me what other features you get buy purchasing this app? And my last question is about rooting. What exactly does it do for your phone? Thank you all!
View 18 Replies View RelatedInstalled Launcher Pro and love it.Extremely fast on my phone.The only problem I am having is that I do not get e-mail notifications for Yahoo or Hotmail.Handcent notifications work fine.As soon as I switch back to Sense, the notifications show up.Any ideas why this happens in Launcher Pro.I want to use it, but if I cant get e-mail notifications it is a no deal.

View 5 Replies View RelatedWhen i get an email (gmail) and I attempt to download the rest of the message, it gives me an error and tells me that there's not enough space and instructs me to delete messages. After deleting almost all messages, i still get the same error.
Do the messages get stored on my card or device? SHould i delete my podcasts that rest on my card?
I just purchased the Launcher Pro as this blows the old HTC Sense out of the water.However, I used to have a Photo Album widget when using the original HTC Sense UI.In this widget you could simply swipe your finger up or down on the widget and it would scroll to the next photo.Now that I'm running Launcher Pro I cannot find the Photo Album widget anywhere. I tried out the Photo Gallery widget but it doesn't have the swipe feature.
Anybody know if there is a way that I can get the old Photo Album widget to work on this or a possible alternative?
So I know it's possible to install the 2.1 genie weather app and the Nexus gallery app on Eris 2.1. But is it possible to install the Nexus launcher on Eris 2.1? I'm not talking about some janky imitation that sort of looks like it, I mean the real thing. I'm talking about this:

I am working on a new layout for my UI and I am running into an icon issue. I am using LauncherPro and I want to use a different icon for actual app launcher. The icon I want to use is actually a bookmark icon for ING Direct (it is a small, orange circle). The only way I can get it to work is if I modify the settings to "swype up" for application launch. Unfortunately, if I press the icon I am taken to the ING direct website. Is there a way to pull the icon out of my phone somehow in order to use it as a 'custom icon'?

View 13 Replies View RelatedDownloaded Launcher Pro a few times today. Is the Market qlitchy today? It says it downloaded, but when I try to open it, the "Open" tab is grayed and not functioning. I can only "Uninstall". Also the icon doesn't show up in my list of apps. Anyone else having problems with the market today? Guess I could try downloading another app to see if that works. If not, it is a Market problem and I'll just be patient.

And last I also uninstalled the stock file manager. Now my wife factory reset the phone and I don't have a launcher or keyboard or a file manger. The only place I can go to,is settings .. I can't get to any other app to download a launcher or keyboard ..I can get to the Google play store but I can't put my account since I don't have a keyboard.. I can't put an launcher apk on my SD card BC I don't have a file manger to get to the file and install it..I don't have root Or costume recovery.
View 3 Replies View RelatedNo not the OTA. My Helix Launcher decided to force close ALOT. Back to back. I rebooted my phone to no avail. I pulled the battery and nothing was fixed. I tried to pull the app drawer and select the Uninstaller app, but it would force closed before I could open it.
Then I had a revelation: I have the Market as one of my shortcut apps on my Helix dock. I opened it up and went to my downloads, and opened the Uninstaller app. Uninstalled Helix, and now I am good to go.
I tried to switch from 5 screens down to 3 and it all started.
For those that have nothing positive to add to the thread, your opinions are not wanted here. Yes, there are other ways to do this same thing. Thank you for your all-knowing knowledge. This thread is a response to this thread. *DESCRIPTION*
Okay, sorry about that first paragraph. Short description, This is being released because of another thread where it was requested. These are my personal mods that I made and use for myself but am now sharing with you all. I havent tried/looked into making a "flashable update zip" so for now this comes as a package of APK files that you will push to your phone via ADB. I have made this slightly easier for you as I have provided all the commands needed that can simply be pasted into a terminal window.......................
This problem first started after installing Lock bot, ATK and Alevel. Rebooted my phone and was greeted with an X in my signal bar and all home apps and google/android apps FC. I tried to reboot and pull battery even though the battery pull from my understanding has no effect. I've seen other threads say to do a hard reset but I didn't have a back up of my phone. I uninstall the 3 apps listed and the phone booted up fine.The next day I downloaded lock bot and level whith a reboot after each and no problems. I went back to tk because i like the 1x4 task bar it has and all was well.(No i'm not blaming ATK because too many people use it successfully) Yesterday I downloaded Safe neighborhood(My creepy neighbor looks out his window and watches the kids way too much), OS Monitor after uninstalling TK, and the Swype app I found on a thread here. As soon as I rebooted I received that X again. Uninstalled the last three apps and O.K.. I have re-installed OS Monitor and swype and phone reboots fine. I didn't download safe neighborhood again because my neighbor may be a perv but now I know he's not a convicted perv. The thing I'm noticing now is that when trying to use the market the downloads take several minutes to load or don't load at all.

1. Download and re-name to update.zip
2. Turn your phone off, and then back on by pressing Vol-Up & End/Power until the phone starts.
3. Wait 15 seconds.
4. Then press Vol-Up & End/Power again - you should get a short menu, one entry of which will say something about "sdcard:update.zip"; choose that.
5. After the update applies itself, reboot.
This will change your Settings>About Phone to

I have a question. I recently downloaded Handcent to try it out and one day out of nowhere, MMS messages won't download. I click the download button an retry and it fails after about a second. I uninstalled Handcent, dialed *228 to reprogram, and sometimes it works, but often it doesn't. Sometimes, I'll even get an MMS from one person, but the message appears in a different thread, still not being able to Download. I searched for the problem and came across this being common for the Hero, but I'm not sure if its related to my Eris. Anyone with an Eris have experience with this? Or tips? I want to stay away from a Hard Reset, but will try it if I can sync my contacts.
