With light to moderate computer use, how long will it take to use up the 5 Gb limit?
Anyway to get around the limit?
Downloads occasionally. Most of my browsing is done on my phone, facebook, sport sites etc.

Now I have a notification that wont go away, it says "SYNC - too many contacts deletes. then when you click on it, it says "there are 74 deleted items for contacts, account ******@gmail.com. What would you like to do? And it gives me 3 options, Delete the items, Undo the deletes, Do nothing for now. I've tried all three options and the notification just comes right back.

View 28 Replies View RelatedMy Droid Eris will charge from about 20% to 100% in a matter of 1-3 hours- it's always quite fast! Last night, my phone was at 20% when I went to sleep at about 12am and when I woke up at 6am it was only at 40%. The phone felt very hot. I took it off the charger and put it in another plug. It is now 4pm and the phone is only at 80% and at times feels hot. I checked out the cord and there are no lesions or breaks or any visible problems w/ the cord. I'm not sure what's going on- any thoughts? I'm going to take it to the VZW store to obtain an understanding. It's only been 3-4 months that I obtained the phone.
View 2 Replies View RelatedSo oddly enough my wife's Eris does not let her long press ANY of the bottom two rows of app icons/widgets. I can long press any of the top two rows apps/widgets fine to remove or add in an empty space. but the bottom two rows I can't remove or add with a long press.anyone else have this issue? I'm trying to figure out whats new but she isn't that into her phone so she never installs stuff on it, im the one tweaking and playing with her phone and I haven't touched it in a week this started happening randomly 2 days ago.

The Current location 1/2 says Albuquerque, New Mexico. It says "No weather data available"
The 2/2 entry I programed is Albuquerque, NM and that works.
I just added a 3rd Dallas, TX and that works.
Something is odd. It's using the long spelled out state name for the Current location and that doesn't seem to be found in the Weather server when it checks. Just the 2 letter state names seem to work.
I have a question regarding a feature that just seemed to disappear from Handcent SMS.
Before, when I composed a message in the app or using quick compose (long press search button), there would be a drop down list of possible choices when I began typing in the "To:" field. For example, if I typed "k", it would show names beginning with "k". But now the feature is gone and it really sucks when I want to compose a text.
Does anyone else have this issue? Is it Handcent's problem or a software problem (v2.1 bug?), and does anyone know how to fix it?
So all of a sudden my Handsent is acting up, long time to open, wont send pics, but will send pics if I use stock messeges. Do I need to reset the entire phone again and start from scratch or is there an easier way to fix the problem with Handsent?

View 32 Replies View RelatedYesterday (which was the last day of the month), I got a message in the browser saying that I had reached my data limit. It would not load anything. It would still access data over Facebook, Twidroid and Sportstrack, but not the browser. Today, all is fine. So, was that message just in error, or does it sound as if I actually hit my limit? I heard around here that they were not really going to be monitoring the usage unless you were on the business plan. I suppose I could find out if I could see my total usage numbers, if I was around the 5 GB mark.

View 1 Replies View RelatedFirst Android phone and just switched to Verizon. I was sending a text and it was over 160 characters. I sent it and got a message saying that if I am texting a non Verizon customer they will only get the first 160 characters...I've had an iPhone and a Blackberry on ATT and it would split the message up for me and send a couple if it was over 160. Is there no way to do this on the Droid? Do I seriously have to try and squeeze everything into 160 characters like I did when I had the RAZR?

View 3 Replies View Relatedit took all day but i finally took 1080p avatar and converted it to mp4 to play on my dx. i transferred the mp4 to my sdcard and started to play. plays better than perfect until i started skipping around the movie and noticed when it gets past a certain time (1:40:50) i think it is it stops playing and cant go past. i try the file thats on my laptop and theres no problem with that. i tried downloading other movie players but they cant even play the file at all.

I want to make it so that no matter how many times a user starts activityA, when they hit the back button they will never get more than one occurence of activityA. What I am finding in my current code is that I have only two options 1. I can call finish() in activityA which will prevent it from being accessible via the back button completely, or 2. I do not call finish(), and then if the user starts activityA (n) times during their usage, there will be (n) instances when hitting the back button. Again, I want to have activityA accessible by hitting the back button, but there is no reason to keep multiple instances of the same activity on the stack. Is there a way to limit the number of instances of an activity in the queue to only 1?
