View 6 RepliesI have just noticed that I an now looking emails when I read them in the mail app (not gmail but the HTC mail). I have my mail set up to the pop on my googlemail account. I can go into mail and see my new mail, but if I then refresh all the mail will disappear. I upgrade to Froyo last night and prior to that all was well. I have not changed any settings on mail or my googlemail account.

Uri = Uri.parse("content://mms/part/" + mmsPartId);

View 3 Replies View Relatedjust got my desire this morning and i don't really know what i'm doing with it, i've never had a smart phone before. i've set up my hotmail account as the email account on the phone but, call me paranoid, i'd rather not have it on there at all. if i delete the account on the phone will it have any detremental effect on the actual email account?
View 4 Replies View RelatedFound an odd issue in regards to the default gmail app. When attempting to attach a file to an email it constantly gives me an error saying the attached file is too large? I thought that GMails attachment limit was now at 25meg? the files im trying to attach are around the 3meg mark. Strangely if I setup my GMail account via pop in the MAIL app I can attach the file without issues. A bug on my phone or is anyone else having the odd issue? Google overlooked something? Is it fixed in froyo?
View 1 Replies View RelatedI am a new user of HTC desire and wanted to know can I have my phone to download all emails and their attachments together rather than going to individual emails to download its attachment?
I cannot send an email with an attachment using the Gmail app on this phone. I tried to send three different photographs to three different email addresses and it failed every time. Emails without attachments go perfectly every time.
View 6 Replies View Relatedso i want to reset my hero back to factory settings but i dont want to loose my contacts. everyone always says put all my contacts in a google account or something. but idk how to do that.
View 3 Replies View RelatedIs it just me, or is there a missing option to specify what account you want to save your appointments that are created? It defaulted to my Exchange Active Sync, but... I wanted to save that appointment to my gmail calendar. =**[ I really hope that I'm just missing something, and that its possible. I just don't need my boss seeing when the next time I gotta take my dog to the vet!
View 2 Replies View Relatedmy Android device: Everytime I add a new contact it's randomly saved to one of my two Google accounts that are synched with my phone, but I want it to be saved directly(locally) to the phone. I've browsed through all the settings menus but couldn't find a solution.
Phone: HTC One(32GB),HTC Sense 5.5
Android: 4.4
I seem to have lost my googlemail calendar - my phone is just showing 'My Calendar' and 'UK Holidays'.
I can't seem to find an option anywhere to add a calendar and synching does not bring it back.
New to Android and to Hero but what I see I like a lot after swapping my iphone for this device.
I have bought an Orange branded Hero which has been unlocked and I have it working on O2.
I have 2 questions:
When I open the browser I get a message saying it won't connect to Orange WAP from a none orange device. I have set up the MMS and O2 WAP APN's and everything else seems to work even the browser works when I hit the search key. I should also add that I have changed the browser home page to O2 - any ideas?
2nd, I can't get the HTC mail widget to work with Googlemail. Googlemail works fine from it's own widget though.
Other than that, loving the phone and looking forward to really seeing what it can do - I might have a look at this "rooting" that everyone seems to talk about.
Has anybody successfully made the switch from googlemail to gmail in the UK. I stupidly made the switch but my hero wouldn't play so I had to go back to googlemail.
I am considering trying again as I am about to change to a different rom but does anybody know if the market is clever enough to spot that @googlemail and @gmail are the same address or will I lose my paid apps?
I have 2 type of contacts on my phone, they are googlemail contacts and sim or phone contacts.Im getting annoyed that whenever i ad a new contact it saves on googlemail account, which i dont want. What i want is contacts to be saved only on phone or sim.How do i completely stop googlemail butting and saving contacts?
View 2 Replies View RelatedOn my old Nokia, I could save SMS to the sim card so that I could access on a backup phone if I needed to.
Can you do so with the HTC Desire? Is there an App that will allow me to do this?
I'm new to the Desire, and despite reading through the full pdf manual, I can't work out how to save a picture I've been sent (in an MMS) to my photos, so I can use it for a caller ID. Also, I can't find an option to send a Multimedia message. When I open messages, to write one, it goes straight to a plain text one.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI have a rooted Desire with 2.2. I've been using the set InstallLocation command to force my apps onto the SD card. This as been working ok and I can confirm the apps are saved on the card. However my internal memory does not seem to be changing at all, it's still on the same amount that I started with before saving the apps.

View 4 Replies View RelatedI spent a wasted hour of my life on the phone to Three support trying to work out why I couldn't log in to my Three account page using my handset. They now think it is a problem with the handset (which I bought Simfree).
Basically I try and login; hit submit; get mostly blank white screen which at top says 'login successful click here to read the page you want' or somesuch. I do this, and it mostly takes me back to the login screen.
Originally it was autopopulating the fields with the original Sim number (before I ported my old number), so I cleared the cache, cookies, passwords etc. That didn't solve the problem.
The Three lady then fiddled with homepage settings. Which didn't solve the problem either.
I CAN login to my Three account via PC so suspect she is right about a problem on phone specifically. I have had a similar problem on one other website when trying to login on handset. But not on other password protected sites.
My last phone melted and I have to hold my hands up to say I never backed it up or synced it to an external source so when it screwed up I lost a lot of my contacts, not something I want to happen again.
Firstly do I want to save them to my sim or my phone, I would normally guess Sim card but cant they be saved to the SD card ? This would seem to be the best option ? When entering a new contact there is the option to save them to the gmail account that I set up so I could use the android market ? I don?t use gmail as I already have my own domain email accounts that I have had for years and I host through hotmail. As I have the account I am happy to use it as a dumping ground if there is the option of syncing all of my contacts to it ?
Then when I connect to HTC sense it wants to sync my contacts ..... Where is it trying to syc them to? Outlook ? I don?t use outlook but again if it will keep my contacts safe then I can use it for safety. Looking at my contacts there is the option to export to SD card, is this exporting from the sim ? Or from the phone?
