Or is it embedded during the update ? I recently did the 2.2 OTA update, flash websites are working in the browser but im not sure if thats using the Flash Lite or 10.1.

I was quite excited to have flash on my mobile devise and as I have an unlimited subscription to Lovefilm I was looking forward to watching the on demand movies for free. But I was disappointed when I was met by the message "does not support this type of flash". Is there an update or an app I can use? Lovefilm uses Flash Player 10.

Any way of preventing it ,i know it would be nice to keep it updated ,but not at the expense of 10mb of valuable space.
Basically I was trying out the appbrain app the other day which suggests apps to download. One of these recommendations was to update my flash player 10.1. I did this as suggested but it ate up about 10mb of my internal memory! Leaving me with that dreaded 'low on space' message. Anyway I uninstall the update and all was well. But now when i go on the market it downloads automatically and its really annoying me. So... do I need it? What's the benefit? And how do I make it go from downloaded apps tab in market?
View 12 Replies View RelatedMy Desire is 1 week old and came with 2.2 preloaded. It is an unlocked unbranded handset from Carphone Warehouse. Yesterday my phone displayed a message that there is an update available. I decided to check it out before jumping in with both feet. I currently have software version 2.09.405.8, so I assume this update will give me 2.10.405.2? If so, I have read here that there are a few problems with the update, specifically with wifi. I have also read elsewhere that HTC withdrew the update until this was fixed.
Some of the solutions talk about manual installation and a gold card, whatever that is!
Have HTC fixed the wifi problem? Is it now safe for me to install the update OTA? Or should I wait? I really don't want my phone being messed up and having to fiddle around with gold cards or whatever.
I put the latest LeeDroid ROM (2.0c) in my SD card and tried to flash it without succeed. What's the proper procedures to flash a new ROM to replace the older version?

I tried to update my angry birds and adobe air. My htc desire was fine during the download, but then when it started installing, my phone would say update successfulness. The same thing happened when i tried to install some new apps.

I've been trying to update my phone now for nearly two weeks, trying various options, yet nothing I do helps in any way.I started off just running the update from SEUS with my phone as i've been using it.the updater started, gets about 70% through "Preparing" and pops up an error "Unable to install or start software update components." Closing which pops up "try again" or come to this site.I then tried uninstalling all installed components, same result as above.I then tried a Master Reset to factory setting, same result as above.I then disable the Firewall and the Anti-Virus, same result as above.Basically, i'm at the end of my tether, this should not be this difficult, I should not have to jump through this amount of hoops.If there was a way to legitimately root the phone (keeping warranty), I could already have Froyo installed, instead of this irritating mess thats causing me nothing but headaches.

Using ROM manager, I'm trying to flash netarchy 4. 9. 1 from SD card like other roms and kernels, but it takes me to bootloader instead and won't install the kernel. Any ideas?
