Trying to partition a 16GB memory card but can't.I have used rom manager clicked partition set it up for 512 and 0 but when it reboots every time I get the android error logo thing.

Is there any way to get memory back after you partition an SD card IV lost 700 MB with the last rom I flashed and now I use a rom that doesn't need a partitioned SD, if there's a way to do it could some explain how I do it properly.

I have bought 16gb card Copied all old files turned on my phone and all my mp3s disappeared.Weird but ok I have plugged it on again copied again and again files are not there? Took off the card connected to PC via card reader formatted it copied again plugged off plugged in files on the card plugged in to the desire turned on the phone files gone after couple more attempts I have only 2 folders with mp3s but rest is empty.I dont know what is going on.

I'm upgrading from my Droid 1 to the Droid X tomorrow and would like to start my use of the DX with it's new 32gb card in place of my old 16gb card from my Droid 1 but need to know if there's anything required to copy from my droid 1 16gb card to my new DX 32 gb card that would be required or helpful in the DX use.I will obviously transfer music/vids/pics but are there any essential files, apps, etc. that are needed.Or is it a good idea to use my paid MyBackupPro to copy the old Droid 1 apps/data for use in the DX larger memory card or is this not copatible to perform between the 2 devices?

I am running the NeoPhyTe Mod v1.8 Sense-FroYo 2.2 ROM, and it seems great (before I was running Pays Desire Rom which had the same problem, so it's not the ROM).My old 4gb card was partitioned with 512mb for Apps to SD (I can't even remember how I did this now, but I seem to recall it being really easy, I think I used ROM Manager), and worked flawlessly. The new card can be seen in Windows 7 when I go into recovery on the phone and select mount USB Storage, and I seem to be able to get into it to format the card, but when I reboot, the phone hangs at the HTC screen. There is nothing on the card apart from the ROM I installed.I've tried partitioning it in Recovery with ADB/Clockwork, but Parted will not load/work. I've tried...well, everything I could find over the last 4 hours to try to sort this out. It should be a simple task, surely!?
View 16 Replies View Relatedmy Desire is rooted with T-Mod, but i'm looking to update from the standard 2GB(i know right?) to the biggest I can possibly find. The only thing is I'm worried about the fact that this card has been partitioned when I rooted it, am I going to have to start from scratch and re-root? Or do I just partition the new one, install the ROM on the partition (? I don't really know what I'm talking about with this), and then transfer everything over once that's done?
I was looking at classes.. I've seen class 10 SD cards but can only seem to find up to class 6 in 16GB microSD and up to class 4 in 32GB microSD... I don't think i'll need 32GB, I was only getting it because I might decide to, I don't know, listen to my entire music collection without coming home in between? I guess I was just getting 32gb because I'm kind of into "Do it once, do it right." But if it's going to slow my phone down I'll just go for a 16gb...

I plan to get some sort of micro sdhc storage for my phone. I was all set on getting a 16gb class 6 card and am still kind of leaning that way. But I noticed that I can get 3 of the 8gb class 6 microsdhc cards for the same price. What would you do? I mean it certainly is more convenient to just be able to leave the one card in the phone and not worry about it but is it worth the extra 8gb of space to switch them in and out and keep track of the tiny little things?
By the manual, eris only support up to 16gb of sd card. Does anyone try to use 32gb? - I fount the answer.... It was a really dumb question and I found similar post.... Actually, I want to delete this post but I don't know how to do.

I have rooted my Desire and it works like a charm. Now when I want to upgrade my memory card from a 4Gb to a 8Gb card, I ran into some problems! My Desire refuses to start up with the new card, it comes to the boot screen and loops from there!
What am I doing wrong?
