I'm not complaining or anything but on thee iphone all u do is doubler click the home burton and it comes up too change the song. I know u can hold down the home buttom and drag down the bar on top bar but that takes u to the music app which is kinda annoying. Is there a way o get it like the iphones?
View 9 Replies View RelatedI got my wife a G2 to replace her iPhone 5c about 6 weeks ago. I shut off imessage and she had been getting texts from iPhone users just fine until a week ago. All of the sudden people worth iPhones were not able to send her texts anymore because they were going as imessages. These are people who had been successfully texting her for over a month after the switch.

The I phone has better games i.e. Iron-man, you can easily download movies to it through I tunes, it has the big hitters in the comic industry DC and Marvel the list just goes on and on. Is it that the Droids technology is just inferior to the I phones?

View 1 Replies View RelatedI can send mms to my friends on at&t that DON'T have iphones, they get them just fine. however, EVERYONE I've tried to send an mms to that has an iphone, it never gets through. this is using chomp for the most part, but I've also tried it with the stock messaging app (the girl i sent the message to using the stock messaging app got it once, but I've tried it at least 100 times over the past few days trying to figure out the issue.and she's gotten a message ONCE).regular SMS texts go through fine, and i can receive from iphones just fine.
to recap:
incredible mms to at&t non-iphone --> works fine . incredible mms to at&t iphone --> does not work
at&t iphone mms to incredible --> works fine . at&t non-iphone mms to incredible --> works fine
anyone else seeing this?
I have not been able to send or receive MMS to or from my friends who have IPhones. Every other carrier currently works but I can't get IPhone to work. Any suggestions?
View 1 Replies View RelatedI have an htc evo and I am not able to send video mms to iphone users. I tried changing the quality of my videos to the lowest setting to see if that would work. It doesn't. The videos I would try sending would be less than 10 seconds long. The message I would receive is "The receiving service provider for xxx-xxx-xxxx has a size limit for picture/video. Your message may not be received." A few of the individuals say that they are able to receive video messages and have no issues. What gives?
View 2 Replies View RelatedMy girlfriend has a Verizon Samsung Galaxy S III and her of friends have iPhones. They are all in a group chat together and the problem is, when my girlfriend receives messages as part of the group chat, she has to actually download them as if they were picture messages. That obviously uses up a lot of data and it gets very frustrating after a while. So how can she get her phone to receive messages normally just like every other recipient in the group chat does, so that she doesn't have to download all of them which not only is very tedious, but highly data-consuming.

I have tried both the stock messaging app and SMS go, and both fail miserably when receiving and sending texts that are in a group thread, I receive them all separately and send them all separately. Is there an app to do this?

View 3 Replies View RelatedI just bought a Galaxy S3 this morning (first Android phone ever!) and for some reason, I haven't been able to send/receive any pictures to/from any of my friends who has an iPhone. I went into At&t earlier tonight and several people without iPhones sent me pictures and received pictures from me with no problems, but everyone with an iPhone couldn't receive my pictures. The techs there told me to try and use the lowest camera resolution and I was able to get one picture to send but still wasn't able to receive any pictures.

1) Comes through multiple times (this happens with AT&T iPhones)
Or
2) Comes through chopped up into individual messages that are also displayed out of order (usually from Verizon iPhones)
I have a screenshot of issue No. 2 but the AC app is not letting me upload it for some reason (never had an issue before) and I can't get the link to work from the desktop (grrr)

Has anybody been able to successfully send a video via text to an iPhone? I have tried six different users (two being mine and my wifes 3gs') and not one successful attempt. I also cannot send text using most of the secondary characters on the number/symbol keyboard, such as the degree symbol. If there are any of the secondary characters, the recipient gets nothing on their end. It's like I never sent it.
View 10 Replies View RelatedOn iPhones the notification is center of the screen in a big graphic. On my LG2 all I get is some tiny icon in the notification bar. Also on teh iPhone the lock screen wakes up to show the voicemail prompt/graphic. On the LG2 teh screen is still dark. So unless I turn on my lock screen, I never know I have a v-mail.
View 1 Replies View Related how to create Android apps so I recently installed Eclipse and Android SDK. I made a new AVD (2.3.3) and everything worked fine for a while but now I get the following error messages when I try to run my application (which is a simple "Hello World" program):

I have also tried deleting the AVD from the AVD manager but it says the emulator is running and therefore unable to delete it.
These problems persists even though I've restarted my computer several times.

Is there anyway to create folders on the "all programs" page you get when you push the widgets/apps button next to Phone? I'd like to push that button and then maybe see a games folder at the top and a media folder for camera apps and media players. Maybe a news/reference folder for my dictionaries, reference and news apps. The rest of the stuff I'd like to just leave there open and accessible.

I'm an android newbie, and I would like to create some folders-games, weather, maps, etc. and put corresponding apps in those folders. I would like to place those folders on my homescreen.
Is this possible and if it is, which app would I need to do that. I've had my DInc since they came out and it's totally stock. I haven't gotten the froyo update yet.
I plan to create a runtime for hosting (inner) JavaScript apps using Cordova.
1. There should be a host app acting as the runtime. In this Host-App, it should able to load JS/Html Apps dynamically. Same goes for removing.
2. Also, the inner JS/Html Apps should be able to communicate with each other.
Important is
- that the loaded JS/Html should call native functions like contact list (thats why Cordova should be used)
- and the JS/Html is not necessarily on the device when the apk is created. Hence, it should be able to download the sources and show them in the native app.
I have an Android 4.4.2 KitKat and I want to sort apps by type (tools, game, social ...) in apps drawer.
Is there any applications that can allow to create a sort by type ? I don't want to install new launcher like Go launcher but just mods or apks that can I use with my default launcher.
Some background info: I have a Samsung Galaxy Nexus, so no SD-Card. Rooted, running Paranormal Android.
So what started bugging me lately is the fact that android just places folders created by apps in my main storage, which ironically is called /sdcard/.
Is there a way to create a folder, for instance: ProgramFiles, and make android place all folders made by apps in that folder? That way only my Music, Movies folder etc would stay in the main storage.
I just got my Samsung Epic 4g, and I am confused about the emailing. I have 3 gmail accounts (1 for work, 1 for school, and 1 for the phone) and 1 sbcglobal account. I have the sbcglobal account in the email app and then the other 3 in the gmail app. How can I switch between the 3 gmail accounts?? Is there a way that I can create 3 different gmail apps or something?

My previous phone was a Palm Centroid and I needed a new phone because the power button was very difficult to activate. On my Sandro, I was able to create a personal apps folder of the apps I use the most. The Quick Start guide that came with my phone has two pages explaining basic functions. One box shows being able to Move/Delete Icons, but it only shows how to delete them. Use the long Touvh to move it to the trash can icon. But I don't want to delete them, I want to move or copy them to a personal apps folder.

i followed the steps, but i can't tell if i managed to actually succeed. i tried rooting my desire, and it hasnt been successful so i presume i must have gone wrong with this part of creating a GoldCard. (since the guides on Modaco needs Hex Editor for Windows and I dont have Windows installed on my Mac's Bootcamp.)
I have recently purchased an unlocked HTC Desire. As you may or may not know, here in Australia the only carrier of the Desire is Telstra. However I use 3 mobile so that's the reason I purchased an unlocked device.
My problem is that my phone has about a dozen or more apps which are installed by Telstra and uninstallable. Most of them are 100% useless because I'm not even on their network and I'd like them out of my applications list.
I've had a read around and I saw something about being able to remove them by deleting the file and then uninstalling them using a command prompt program.
Would anyone please be able to give me detailed instructions on how to do this because I'm not sure how to find the system/apps folder and I'm also not sure on how to get the command prompt thing to work.
