Jul 18, 2010I'm getting a new SIM, what's the best way to copy all my contact info from my current SIM and add them to my new one? Should I be using the sync software?

HTC Incredible :: Backup Phone For Exact Copy
May 14, 2010It looks like I may have to replace my incredible due to some hardware issues. Is there a way to do a basic exact backup of my current incredible so I don't have to set up the new one. Like keep my custom scenes, apps, settings, etc so I don't have a lot of set up time on the replacement?

Dec 9, 2009After a hard reset on my first Hero, the factory/system wallpaper files disappeared. Thereafter, I was unable to set the background for the lock screen to anything but the default. When I go to set lock screen background, the device reports "no media found".
Now that I have another Hero, I would like to backup those 22 factory background/wallpaper files.
1) Is that possible? If so, how? Does it require me to root the device so I can actually "copy out" the files?
2) Does there exist a backup software that can do a full system file backup? If so, please recommend one.
3) I have seen several file manager-like applications. Do any of these applications browse system files and allow one to copy them? (Is rooting reqired)?
4) Does anyone have copies of the system/default wallpapers? If so, will you please zip them up and post it here?
5) WHY did the pictures disappear after a hard reset? If they are part of the ROM, why did they not return after a reset?

Nov 16, 2012I would like to flash ClockworkMod Recovery (or any other recovery method) on my Tianji i9220 device, because the phone hasn't got too many features, if i push volume+ +power button the Factory menu has only tests and reboot option, but i would like to flash another rom on the device, but i don't want to try until i haven't got a recovery option. (I installed goomanager and i can enter to cwm recovery mode from it, but if i would like to flash the cmw to the phone, idk which version sould i choose)
The device is already rooted, with this tutorial: [URL] ..... (the webtrickz one)
2. Any other method to backup and restore my ROM it would be good to me! I found a tool called Smart Phone Flash tool. I think it can do it, but i don't know how

Want to temporarily use an old phone - Desire and music festival is not a good mix - and can't seem to be able to find how to copy all my contacts to my SIM. Can export then to and from SD and from SIM but not to SIM. Currently no contacts shown as being on SIM so assume it does not auto save to it Running unmolested Android 2.1.

Nov 8, 2010My Desire needs to go back for repair and i need to copy my contacts on to my Sim card so i can use the Sim in another phone. i have tried a few apps but they all keep telling me the Sim card is either full or locked (its got no contacts on it. Apr 2, 2010I upgraded from a Hero to the Desire yesterday. It's all great apart from a few niggles, but one big one in particular. I've lost half of my paid for apps I signed it to my Google account upon setting up the phone as normal. Everything seemed to work: Contacts and Calendar synchronized just fine, not so the Apps. The market seemed to recognize half of my paid apps, allowing me to download them for free again, but not the other half. I even did an App resore from my Hero using 'My backup' all to no avail. I'm still missing paid apps. They aren't even showing up in the Market any more, and if I download the free version and then try to upgrade it says there's no such App. Current paid for Apps that I'm missing and can't get back are:

Considering my apps are now stored to the SD card, can I just copy all the contents of the old sd card to my pc, insert the new sd card, format it with ROM manager and copy all my stuff from my pc back to the new SD card? May 20, 2010Last night I was trying to send a friend anothers friends mobile number via a text message. I assumed that there would be an easy way to copy the number from my contacts and paste it into a text message. However I couldn't work it out and had to go down the traditional route of writing it on a piece of paper then sending the text! Hardly a good advert for the new 'uberphone' that the desire is billed as! So, is there a way to do it?

Situation: I use an iRiver S10 MP3 player (2GB) when riding. Normally if Im going on a long ride (a few days) I will need to take my notebook along if I want to change songs on the player.
So, what Im trying to work out is this. Is there a way to transfer MP3s from my Desire's SD card to the S10 via USB (maybe using a USB Data Transfer cable and the required adaptors?).
Any ideas/suggestions? Could it be possible?

I've only tested by sending to myself so far but each time I get two examples of the same photo, but within the same MMS if you see what I mean i.e. I don't get two separate messages. Very odd and bloody annoying if I'm getting charged 40p each time instead of 20p! (O2)

Aug 4, 2010Fiddling around with the new version of the gmail client at lunch time I found something that I've been desperate for in the past! When you're viewing an email, press the Menu hardkey, select More and choose "Select text". Then simply drag your finger over the block of text you want to copy. It's rudimentary but it works. Unfortunately it doesn't work on the quoted text area when you are replying to an email, but hey, it's a definite improvement on going to the webmail client.

Oct 3, 2010Im looking for sumthin that would when taking a picture, save a copy of it in the normal DCIM folder, BUT also save a copy in another subdirectory... so essentially ill have 2 of them. the current camera i take a picture, then have to go through my sd card with ES file explorer and copy/paste into the backup directory. ive heard good things about "my backup pro"... but what can i do wit hthis. if i used that app would it .zip folder all my media so i could essentially just take the zip off and put it onto the media hard drive in house.
