View 1 Replies View RelatedHey guys I just wanted to let you know of the great emulator that just came out - PSX4DROID! It runs great on my Nexus One aside from the sound being just a tiny bit off (it also has wiimote controller support!) Final Fantasy 7 here we come. I had some trouble setting it up at first so I wanted to give you guys a tutorial so you wouldn't be lost like I was trying to set it up at first. here it is since I posted it on xda first: Step by step tutorial to getting psx4droid to work...
View 9 Replies View RelatedI've downloaded psx4droid and wipeout rom. it asks for a BIOS file upon loading of the app. it opens up SD card and when I click on the wipeout folder its empty, yet it isn't when I use my file manager.
View 1 Replies View Relatedseems dev did not update there. Very disappointed since dev posted should buy there. Hopefully he will fix this.
View 3 Replies View RelatedI was wondering if any of you all have been able to get PSX4droid to work on your Samsung Moment?
I have the correct bios (I've used several bioses to make sure my specific bios file wasn't corrupted) and I also tried several .bin PS1 roms. When I try to start the game, all I get is a couple of seconds of black screen before it returns to the rom selection screen.
Has anyone gotten it to work? If so, how? If not, is it because of power specs? Is it possible to get around it?
Any advice on where to find a working FF VII rom for psx4droid? i dl 2 different roms that didnt work. i have the bios for the emulator just cant get the rom to work
View 6 Replies View RelatedSo two things here. Iv been playing star ocean: the second story, and for any of you who know the game, im up to the part where clik is detroyed and you watch the fmv of the earthquake. Problem is, after the fmv ends, im left looking at a black screen, and it gets stuck there.
Does anyone else have a problem like this? can it be fixed? Iv thought about maybe using a different iso of star ocean, or another file type, but if i were to do that, could i still use the savegame iv been using with this one? and if so, how do i do that? i dont want to lose what iv done so far if i need to use a different file.
Does the vibrant support wii remote? How would I set it up?i want to use out for the psx4droid.
View 5 Replies View RelatedRecently bought a Droid X (first android phone), but i'm a fast learner when it come to tech. bought PSX4DROID and downloaded disk 1-3 of ff7 (I do own the game). already added a bio's bin file also. here are my two questions
1. when I make new folders/transfer files over onto my phone's 16gb SD card, they show up, but as soon as I disconnect it from the computer they disappear. they still show up when I look for them from the phone, but if I plug the phone back in, my SD card is empty, even though the space is still being used. any ideas?
2. PSX4DROID doesn't work when i load up the final fantasy 7 rom. i know this game works because it is all over YouTube. all it shows is a permanent black screen. should i try a new psx bios file? different rom?
I think that maybe the two problems are related to each other, but i have no idea. The card is not a fake, It is the included card that comes with every Droid X. also I have read up on other threads.
Other forums have a thread dedicated to PSX4Droid and how well the app along with the roms work on their respected phone.
This thread is not so much a "How to" but a "What works"
For those just getting started and need to learn how to set up PSX4Droid take a look at a few of the videos on YouTube to help get going.
Now for anyone who has PSX4Droid on the Incredible could you please post what roms/games you have tried and how well they work on the system.
This will help people from putting a certain amount of hours of playtime into a title only to find there is a section they won't be able to advance from.
Games I have tried so far:
Dino Crisis: This one starts off fine but about 30 minutes into playing there is a door you have to go through and the new section won't load basically ending the game.
Dino Crisis 2: Runs fine for the first 5-10 minutes but afraid of the same problems coming up from Dino Crysis 1.
Resident Evil: Only played for 30 minutes but runs fins, also has sound issues.
Resident Evil 2: Played for 1 hour and runs GREAT, has some sound problems.
Resident Evil 3: Same as RE2, played for 1 hour game runs great but has some sound issues.
Diablo: This is a tricky one. Game starts and plays fine in the first town but after talking to everyone there is and entering the church the performance drops off. Now I have restarted this one and took my character directly into the church bypassing talking or doing anything in town and didn't have a problem so this might have a memory issue.
So far from the limited titles I played the RE series works out the best. It should be noted that every game I tried out has some sound issues you just have to live with for now.
So they finally allowed the PSX4Droid to be released on the marketplace and I've tried out 5 ROMS. Post what you've tried and what works so we can all know what to download. Here's what I tried:
Oddworld Abe's Oddyssey - trailing images, background messed up. Sound is good, video images at beginning work great. Trailing images and background are disappointing.
Oddworld Abe's Exoddus - same as the first one.
Crash Bandicoot 2 - images ok, sound great but verrrry laggy.
Need for Speed III Hot Pursuit - flawless from what I experienced. Sound great, images great, video great.
Metal Gear Solid - most disappointing. Loads fine, goes to the menu, you select your difficulty....blank. I've tried from 2 rom sites. No dice.
Overall experience, disappointing. There really needs to be an update so these roms can work properly.
The item menu called up by pressing square immediately disappears after opening...I haven't spent time to get far enough but if that menu doesn't work at certain moments....the story can't progress. Pretty bad glitch. i'm running the 1001 bios, should i try a different one?
View 4 Replies View RelatedDoes an average game on psx4droid use? i have about 200mb left on my sd card and was wondering if i was going to need another card and what size i should get to suffice.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI have PSX4droid and I'm trying to load a game thats on my phones internal memory (my sd card is full) but I can't seem to access the game within the program.
Does anyone know how to do this?
Quick note that apparently the Zeemote is working with PSX4Droid via the GamePro drivers, good news since the Galaxy S doesn't yet play nice with WiiMotes...I have a Zeemote and will try tomorrow after my night shift to re-confirm this...
View 11 Replies View RelatedSo PSX4Droid finally got released from the clutches of Google Market about an hour ago. Only problem now is I can't seem to get any roms to work. I set up a PSXROMS folder on my SD card, and my first d/l was Metal Gear Solid disc 1 and 2. I got them from here PSX ISO Download Section. So I downloaded the .rar, unzipped to get the .bin (says it's compatible), open the emulator, the emulator sees the files in the folder, I click it, it refreshes the rom screen. The emulator doesn't start. Am I doing something wrong? Wrong file type?

All work well, except sound issues but all 3 have pretty poor graphics. Which are the best psx games to try graphics wise? I want to see how well the desire can run. Im assuming ff7, any good racing games or 1st person shooters? as they are all massive files I dont want to waste time on tosh
I just got an HTC Desire that was locked to Telus (Canadian Carrier). I have read that numerous people are using it on Rogers network. From the day I got it when I put my rogers sim card in (the right way) it said "No SIM card in phone" so I could not enter an unlock code. Thinking the SIM was defective went to Telus and tried one of their sim cards and it worked fine, then I went to Rogers thinking it was a problematic card. We tried 4 cards and none of them worked. I then went to Bell (another canadian carrier) and tried their sim card. It worked as well but said that the phone was locked. I purchased an unlock code from the internet which worked. Now the Bell sim card works as well becuase the phone is unlocked. I put my Rogers SIM back into it and it still sais "No SIM card in phone". I also tried a SIM from a european company and it did not work as well. This HTC Desire works on the same 3G 850/1900 GSM that Rogers uses.
View 7 Replies View RelatedMy friend just lost his Desire at an airport. The pattern lock is active, but that does nothing but protect the data on the phone - Not SD. The first thing they would do is to switch the phone off and replace the sim.
Now here is my question : Is there an app that will send an sms to a preallocated number if the phone is booted up with a different sim? I know some Samsung phones can do this. But having an app that requires your own sim to be able to find it if stolen is quite pointless.
I have had my desire a few weeks now. I have a problem with it.Every time i make a phone call or accept a phone call the phone will switch to speaker phone. This happens before i put the phone up to my ear so it is not my face that is turning on speaker phone. If i hold the phone in my hand and dial a number and press call, it goes to speaker phone. If the phone rings and i answer it, it will always go straight to speak phone.

I've tried to put my old Sim in but it doesn't come up with anything in the contacts list.
I just noticed my quota on 3G Watdog shoot up to something unfeasibly high all of a sudden. I thought it was an error so checked my Orange account. It was correct. Then looked and noticed my wifi and 3G icons were on together. My wifi had a signal but the arrows were lighted on the 3G. I toggled my wifi and nothing changed.I rebooted and just the wifi icon appeared. Used some data and 3G watchdog quota held steady.
View 7 Replies View RelatedGot my desire today got it from CPW on 3 so it is unbranded. Not had chance to get it out yet having 18 month twins does that, it robs a man of free time. Anyway, I have no idea what I will be facing once I switch on for the first time, but do you reckon the 2.2 update should be first on the list? Or get to grips with 2.1 first. Also, I expected that a SD card would be included with the phone? Not looked at anything yet i.e. instructions but from a quick look, there isn't one there. Not a major issue, SDs are cheap enough on play if it is just the standard type.
