View 2 RepliesI have got the following on my phone
Driver
Colin McRae
No Fear Downhill Mountainbiking
All work well, except sound issues but all 3 have pretty poor graphics. Which are the best psx games to try graphics wise? I want to see how well the desire can run. Im assuming ff7, any good racing games or 1st person shooters? as they are all massive files I dont want to waste time on tosh
I've downloaded psx4droid and wipeout rom. it asks for a BIOS file upon loading of the app. it opens up SD card and when I click on the wipeout folder its empty, yet it isn't when I use my file manager.

View 6 Replies View RelatedSo two things here. Iv been playing star ocean: the second story, and for any of you who know the game, im up to the part where clik is detroyed and you watch the fmv of the earthquake. Problem is, after the fmv ends, im left looking at a black screen, and it gets stuck there.
Does anyone else have a problem like this? can it be fixed? Iv thought about maybe using a different iso of star ocean, or another file type, but if i were to do that, could i still use the savegame iv been using with this one? and if so, how do i do that? i dont want to lose what iv done so far if i need to use a different file.
So they finally allowed the PSX4Droid to be released on the marketplace and I've tried out 5 ROMS. Post what you've tried and what works so we can all know what to download. Here's what I tried:
Oddworld Abe's Oddyssey - trailing images, background messed up. Sound is good, video images at beginning work great. Trailing images and background are disappointing.
Oddworld Abe's Exoddus - same as the first one.
Crash Bandicoot 2 - images ok, sound great but verrrry laggy.
Need for Speed III Hot Pursuit - flawless from what I experienced. Sound great, images great, video great.
Metal Gear Solid - most disappointing. Loads fine, goes to the menu, you select your difficulty....blank. I've tried from 2 rom sites. No dice.
Overall experience, disappointing. There really needs to be an update so these roms can work properly.
The item menu called up by pressing square immediately disappears after opening...I haven't spent time to get far enough but if that menu doesn't work at certain moments....the story can't progress. Pretty bad glitch. i'm running the 1001 bios, should i try a different one?

View 2 Replies View RelatedI have a HTC Wildfire and I bought Gameboid, (The emu for the GBA). I also downloaded a Pokemon rom and Gameboid is running a little choppy, its nothing serious, but not desirable, since its not smooth. Does anyone know what settings could smooth it out? I disabled audio.
View 1 Replies View RelatedBeen loving the capabilities of this phone but have any of you experienced the lower back portion of the phone warming during game use? I could be overly sensitive because from way back when the white 3gs was showing burn marks on the back.It doesn't feel so hot that it's burning my skin but I can't imagine it's good for the phone to get warm like this.

View 6 Replies View RelatedI know several of you wrote your apps and games before 1.6 was out or before you had a trusty N1 or Droid to test on. This led to many apps that rely on compatibility mode, that is, a width (when portrait) that is always 320 to make things work out. For 3D games, this made our games continue to work because when the games are run full resolution, our 1.5-compliant textures get scaled up automatically and become non power-of-two, causing white or black wherever a texture should be drawn (and then users complain that our games are nothing but white!)Well I wasn't very worried about it and I still have a few games in compatibility mode but recently a user contacted me, telling me that one of my games (Light Racer 3D) and a few other 3D games were all white on his Droid. I asked him if he had ever run any kind of tweak utility and he said that when he first got his phone, he installed an app called "Spare Parts" and played with some settings on it. Apparently one of the settings disabled compatibility mode and runs everything full-res, breaking many of our apps and games. Of course users don't know that's what they are doing. They think they are somehow unlocking their phone's potential that their evil carriers didn't give them access to. If only they understood!First of all, if you're the author of "Spare Parts", that's a bad idea. Please don't give users that option. Nothing good can come of it.Second, since there will probably always be some kind of tweak app out there that allows for disabling compatibility mode, it's in your best interest as a developer to update your old apps and make them work at every resolution. Counting on compatibility mode in the long term is a bad idea I think.
View 4 Replies View RelatedReally sorry for all the screenshots. I own a Nexus One and Dell Streak and one thing that I find disappointing is that some apps don't run at the native resolution on the Nexus which makes things look blurry compared to my Streak. Examples: (all screenshots taken with the Android SDK) Now, I understand that the PenTile display will have an effect on image quality Vs my Streak but why does the N1 seem to be rendering things in a lower resolution compared to my Streak?

View 9 Replies View RelatedI was wondering if any of you all have been able to get PSX4droid to work on your Samsung Moment?
I have the correct bios (I've used several bioses to make sure my specific bios file wasn't corrupted) and I also tried several .bin PS1 roms. When I try to start the game, all I get is a couple of seconds of black screen before it returns to the rom selection screen.
Has anyone gotten it to work? If so, how? If not, is it because of power specs? Is it possible to get around it?
