HTC Desire :: Want To Change Font On Phone
Jul 8, 2010i really want to change the font on my phone and have been looking at a thread over at Modaco but couldn't really get the same results they got.My problem is that they say to push the new fonts into the Fonts folder on the SD card, but i dont seem to have one.Has anybody been able to do this with any success?

Oct 26, 2010So i rooted my phone this morning. Used the unprovoked to do this. I am not too technical so i needed an easy way to do this otherwise i might have bricked my phone.
Okay so now that i have rooted it i have the following questions:
1) i want to be able to save apps to my SD card (not on froyo yet) - i am not keen on these customized Roms and prefer something more standard what should i do?
2) how do i change the font on my phone
3) what else should i consider doing since i have rooted
With all of the above, hopefully they are easy to follow, as i mentioned i am not too technical.

Sep 21, 2010Does anyone else have problems changing email font size in the standard mail app? I would like to see email text in a smaller font size, but changing it to smaller or smallest in the settings does not seem to have any effect.

Nov 2, 2010I have setup and tested my personal email on my new HTC Desire and all seems fine, then when I get home and manually check my email on my Outlook client I seem to have received about 4 emails but none to my phone. When I go into my settings on my phone, the SMTP server settings for mail have changed. For example when I set it up it should be say:
POP Server: mail.neilsdomain.com
POP Username: neil@neilsdomain.com
SMTP Server: smtp.ispname.co.uk
SMTP Username: neil@ispname.co.uk
I test this and all works wonderfully and mail flows into my phone. Then for some unknown reason when I come out and go back in the SMTP settings have changed by themselves to:
SMTP Server: smtp.ispname.co.uk
SMTP Username: neil@neilsdomain.com. Why would the SMTP Username change?

May 5, 2010Hope someone can help me. I have changed my google mail address from googlemail.com to gmail on my computer, But how you get your desire to change the header when you open your inbox on the desire?
It still comes up with it still ending in googlemail.com at the top of the inbox. I am a novice when it comes to android. but loving it.

Sep 6, 2010I'm new to these forums as I'm very new to using an HTC Desire Android phone. As a previous iPhone owner I was a little nervous to port over but, I've been extremely pleased with my new android handset and OS. However one thing has been driving me crazy. The other day i decided to ring my voice mail and found that I had 3 missed voice mails. No where on the home screen of my phone or settings screens or anywhere else I looked on my phone was I notified of my Voice Mails. I rely quite heavily on accessing my Voice mails as the building I work in has terrible reception. In the past using my iPhone I could enter an area of the building that had better reception and the notification would arrive. I need this functionality, especially as at the moment I'm trying to get a new job, I'd be a little upset if I were to miss a golden opportunity due to no voice mail notification. I tried a few tests with my handset to make sure I wasn't loosing the plot and sure enough I do not receive any notification for my missed calls or as I mentioned earlier no reception problem straight to voice mail. The idea of having to phone 901 every time i need to check my voice mails seems a little absurd, this is 2010 surely as it is primarily first and foremost a phone I would suspect that you would be able to have this functionality. I've searched the net and there's not much talk on how to fix this problem. Sure there's talk on use an App but I'd like that as my last resort really.
This may or may not have been mentioned on these forums, I have done a search before hand and results were blank so I apologies if this has been covered. Please Please Please any one here with infinite wisdom on this matter would be a breath of fresh air.

1 Exchange Account - Push
1 IMAP (Gmail) - 2 hourly
1 POP (Hotmail) - Once daily
My issue is that I am receiving alerts for the same new mail repeatedly. Here's the gist:
11:50 - New mail hits my inbox.
12:00 - I receive a notification of the new email.
12:05 - I check my inbox, but choose not to open the email at this time.
14:00 - I get a notification of a 'new' email, yet on checking it's the one received at 11:50, but still haven't opened.
15:00 - Rinse and repeat. Now, I'm not sure how many times this is happening, or even if it's everytime, but there's something definitely glitchy with mail notifications.Has anybody else noticed similar behaviour? If not I may try removing/adding my accounts back in again.
HTC EVO 4G :: Battery Display / Can Change The Entire Font
Aug 21, 2010i dont know where i saw it, but I've seen someone with their phone set up like this, instead of just the green battery icon at the top in the right hand corner, it actually displays the percent too. is this mething i can just flash right to my phone? or is this not possible. i also was wondering if anyone has heard anything about being able to change the entire font on your phone. i would love to be able to customize the font! i know i've asked before, can't hurt to check again!
