HTC Desire :: Failed Text Messages Continually Notifying Of Failure

May 18, 2010

When ever I send a text message when I've had no signal but the phone hasn't told me yet I get a failed notification which is fine, but I'll keep getting them until I find the text message and delete it, even then I still get a couple more, deleting the message also means I have to type it again, anyone know how to stop the multiple notifications?

I've downloaded No Signal Alert which should help in the future and Handcent seems to cut the notifications down and bit but I still get a few.

HTC Incredible :: Phone Continually Scrolls To Right / Need To Fix It

Aug 2, 2010

I thought my phone was possessed but I know others have had this problem. I still haven't seen a fix for it though. No mater what I'm doing, my HTC Incredible will just scroll all the way to the right. If I'm in an app or attempting to type a message, the screen looks possessed with all the available buttons lighting up randomly. While this is happening I basically lose all control over my phone. I can't scroll back to the left, I can't type what I want, etc. The phone has a mind of its own! I went to the Verizon store and they said I had probably downloaded an app with a virus and they had to wipe out my phone to fix it. Well, that inconvenience did not fix the problem. Even with no "non-factory" apps installed on my phone it still scrolled to the right uncontrollably. The Verizon tech insisted that this was because I downloaded apps, but at this point there were no downloaded apps on the phone and I only download apps via the market, nowhere else.

Anyhow, is there a fix for this?

HTC :: Hero Online (mobile) Keeps Jumping And Auto-scrolling / Stop It?

Jul 26, 2010

Has anyone noticed this? Almost every time I have the mobile network on, when on a browser page (Skyfire) or reading Newsrob articles it keeps jumping or scrolling from link to link, and fights me when I try and scroll back, like it's trying to help me see the links or something...!

I'm on a Hero 1.5 (was locked to Orange, now on O2, about to get the 2.1 upgrade I THINK)

I don't think this is a particularly useful feature...

Jelly Bean :: Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 Reboots Continually If Allow It To Connect To Certain WiFi Network

Dec 22, 2013

I've had a Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 for just over a year. A few weeks ago, I updated to Android 4.2.2 whilst visiting my parent's house and it started continually rebooting itself. I did a factory reset (or two) before figuring out that it's entirely down to the WiFi. If I get in quick enough and don't allow it to connect, the problem stops, and it only occurs with the WiFi at my parent's house (though it always worked fine before the update). I've tried unplugging the WiFi repeater, which was a relatively new addition to the house, but it hasn't made a difference.

Motorola Droid :: Froyo - Silent - Vibrate Mode

Aug 3, 2010

Seems like froyo broke the option to have a ring mode, silent mode, AND a vibrate mode separately?

Personally, I'd like to be able to be notified discretely in social situations without having the ring on, BUT also the convenience of being able to turn everything off with a quick swipe. The vibrate is pretty dang loud.

HTC Desire :: Still No Bluetooth Voice Dialling In Official Desire Froyo

Aug 1, 2010

I have posed this question in some threads but as yet have made no progress.I am just curious as to why HTC appear to have left out the Bluetooth Voice Dialler function that can be provided by the Froyo 2.2 O/S. I believe this feature is present and enabled in some of the cooked roms and also in the Nexus one Vanilla 2.2 so why not here?If I have missed somthing simple or if anyone is aware why it is missing or how I can activate it that would be fantastic!

HTC Desire :: Orange Branded Desire - Rooting - Unlocking And Froyo

Jul 23, 2010

I am toying with the idea of putting a Froyo Rom on my desire, but have several questions that aren't answered in other posts.

1. Will I need to unlock my phone before, during or after changing the Rom? I am not overly bothered by the orange stuff on my phone, but am worried about losing my WiFi connections!

2. Do I need a goldcard? Some instructions say yes, other no. None mention orange handsets specifically.

3. Which is the easiest & safest method to root my phone, if I want to put the Froyo Rom on it?

4. What if I want to change Roms - do I need to do the whole process again? I've seen something about a Rom manager, but where do you get it and how does it work?

5. Which Rom do I use? I've looked at some I'd the modacco forum ROMs, but most don't actually say what you do or don't get with them.

6. What's that difference between a2sd and a2sd+? Does it come as part of the ROM or so I news to get it separately?

HTC Droid Eris :: Eris Home Screen Jumping Spontaneously

Jun 4, 2010

This is driving me crazy. The phone is pretty much useless when this starts happening. I will be on the Main home screen and then it will start jumping Home screens as if I'm swiping to the left but I'm NOT swiping! Once it is on the last screen to the left it won't let me switch back to HOME. I can almost never do anything when this happens. I haven't dropped the phone. I've reset the G-Sensor. Has anyone experianced this? I've even done a Wipe of the device.

HTC Desire :: HTC Desire Vs Nexus One Froyo

Jun 13, 2010

I've never owned a smartphone before and feel as if now is the time to get one as the buttons on my 2nd hand sony erricson c905 are starting to fall off.

I live in the uk and stuck between the HTC desire and Nexus One Froyo. From what I have read and learned, they are essentially the same phone, except nexus one receives the updates the quickest as it is the 'google experience' phone.

Right now im leaning more towards the nexus as it seems the froyo really does give the phone a stronger advantage. JIT, better interface etc... Am not that bothered about SenseUI and heard that froyo does make senseUI unnecessary in some areas. Despite rumors about the desire updating to froyo, majority of people are saying that it will be likely be autumn before the desire gets an update. So now that the froyo is picking up the interface and other substantial areas, what now gives the desire the edge over nexus?

HTC Desire :: Play.com Desire No Ota Froyo

Aug 7, 2010

Bought myself a Desire about a month ago from Play.com and stuck in a o2 payg sim i already had, really love it and everything is working great.I heard Froyo had been released ota so i decided to use the "check now" option however it claims that my phone is up to date. I've checked the softare information and its def 2.1-update 1, as far as i can tell the phone is definitely unbranded and there are no custom scenes or wallpapers.I even took the sim out and tried doing a check it still says there is no new updates. I'm a resident of the UK but as far as i can tell that shouldn't make a difference.I'm not in too much of a rush as its new software but i was just a little worried something was wrong. Anyone got any suggestions?

HTC Desire :: Updating To Froyo 2.2

Aug 4, 2010

I got the update request on my phone for Froyo 2.2. I downloaded it using the WIFI. However when it came time to install it said I did not have enough memory and took me to a screen to delete some apps which I did.
After doing this I no longer get the request to upgrade and when I check to see if there any updates available (under "About Phone") it says "there are no updates available". I checked to see what the latest firmware was and it says 2.1 so I know it hasn't updated. I have no idea how to download it again and I have called Vodafone (my service provider), HTC and Carphone Warehouse (the place I got it from) to no avail.

HTC Desire :: Froyo RUU Update Available

Aug 12, 2010

With this RUU package you can flash your phone to the current official OTA update i.e. the latest software, radio and bootloader. If you have a branded phone, this will debrand it.This method doesn't require you to root your phone and it doesn't install any unofficial or modified software. If your phone is currently rooted it will remove it.If you install an official branded update to Froyo, e.g. Vodafone's, you will not be able to install this.An alternative installation method that does not need any drivers (or even a computer) is available.
