HTC Incredible :: Way To Get Deleted Photos / Videos Back?
Aug 6, 2010I accidentally deleted some photos the other day and I was wondering if anyone knew of a way to get them back. I know a lot of the times it doesn't really delete the data, it just opens up the space to be written over.

Since this is of EXTREME importance to me I wanted to make sure I go about this in the right process and only talk to the very best professionals/most knowledgeable on the site. It involves the Police removing videos from my phone after I was taken into custody. So a lil extra spice for an otherwise boring question. I took out my micro sd card so nothing else writes to it and am waiting to hear back from you guys. The goal is to prove that I was in custody when the videos were deleted-(Police corruption) and to also restore them to prove my innocence.

Mar 22, 2014I have a Samsung Note 3 updated to 4.4.2
I deleted some videos by accident and I need to get them back. I don't have any added memory, everything is written to the internal storage. ALL of the recovery software I have tried is asking for USB mass storage or doesn't work.
DiskDigger App also doesn't work. I read that mass storage is no longer available on 4.4.2. Supposedly everything connects with some new system called MTP.
How can I get my files back from the internal memory? There MUST be some way to do this. There must be some way to read the entire internal storage disk!

Aug 20, 2013I have the following issue; a couple of months ago i had a Desire z (happy HTC One owner now) but it fell and it broke. Or atleast the phone itself/ screen does nothing. However i can hook the phone up to my pc and its get recognized and i can browse the phone with the command prompt.
My phone broke while i was on a trip in Thailand and unfortunately the info (email adresses from new friends) that i typed into google keep that night had not been synced yet...
I would very much like to get this info off of my phone and read it or transfer it to my new phone or something (reading it on the pc has my preference as my HTC One is not rooted).
General :: Retrieving Files When Screen Won't Work?
Apr 30, 2012I have a motorola Droid that has a screen that won't light up. It is still responsive to touch commands (at least I can feel the haptic feedback when I unlock the phone).
I've moved on to a new phone. However, I have the birth of my son on video on the phone(the tasteful portion ). The video is on the internal memory of the phone, yet I'm unable to mount the phone to my PC because I can't see what to touch(I've tried guesstimating where to touch without success). I did save the video to an old pc HD, but that HD went kaput about a year ago.
How to retrieve files from internal memory in which you can't mount the phone by typical means?
General :: Retrieving Email Settings From Captivate I-896
Apr 5, 2013We have a company website and we have a few different email accounts. A year or so ago i setup the email on my captivate i-896, after alot of trial and error. It works on my phone perfectly.
Anyways now we got an android tablet and want to setup the email accounts on it as well. I tried looking up the settings on my phone but couldn't find them. I looked in our web hosting settings but what i found doesn't seem to work.
Is there a way to see what settings i entered on my captivate so i can put the same info into the tablet settings?
General :: Error Retrieving Information From Server?
Jun 8, 2013the play store spits this error at me constantly. It happens when i download apps from the play store. It says "Error retrieving information from the server [RPC:S-5:AEC-0]". Just to clarify, things I've already tried: wiping data of play store and play service frameworks, wiping dalvik and cache, deleting my host file and readding my Google account. I've added another account and it downloaded apps flawllessly so it must be my main google account.

Oct 31, 2013My galaxy S2 was working fine. I used google play a couple of days ago without any problem and today when I tried to update my app systemPanel from google play (or any other app), I got the error:
Update for 'systemPanel app/Task Manager' could not be downloaded due to an error. (error retrieving info from server [RPC:S-5:AEC-0])
what exactly does it mean? I googled it and tried the clear data/cache of google play/google frame and it did not work.
I have also deleted then added back my gmail account and it did not work.
I couldn't install any app either. I got the same error when I tried to install any app from Google play store.
General :: Retrieving Text Messages From Galaxy S3 With Screen Not Working
Oct 29, 2013I have a broken Galaxy 3 phone where the screen suddenly stopped functioning with a total blackout so I can't use the phone at all. There is no problem getting the phone fixed within a couple of days but the problem is I want to save all my messages, contacts and other data, especially one conversation text message thread that has gone on for about a year, to my pc. I want the information to be able to be viewed independently on my computer like I read emails etc. and then I can store it on a portable hard drive by copy and paste.
Samsung kies doesn't seem to allow for this. I can back up the phone apparently but the info can only be read by another similar phone so it is restricting how you see your own information. I want the information on my computer without the need of another similar phone because what if I decide to buy a totally different phone that has software that's not compatible.
The shop representing Samsung who will fix the phone said that everything gets wiped and they won't even have Kies on their computers because they think its unstable software. Ideally it would be great if there was some kind of software for my computer that enabled it to read all the info on the phone as if the phone was a flash drive connected by USB and then I could simply copy and paste across from phone to computer. The phone is recognised by the computer through the USB but obviously it can't read inside the folders on the phone which just show as empty. How to get the results I want?

Nov 17, 2010I'm using myPlayer to download videos to watch during my commute. Even though the myPlayer app recommends arcMedia to play the downloaded videos, I've found that the default Videos app works just fine, and is a bit better thanks to the Dolby Mobile sound.
However... after downloading the video to the phone, the video takes an age to show up in the Videos app's list. I can usually prod the app into re-scanning the SD card for videos my unmounting and remounting the card, but that's a bit of a pain. Does anyone know of a way of just getting the Videos app to have another look for new files?
(I know, it's not a major hassle to remount the SD card, but I'm an ex-iPhone guy and used to the 'it just works' way of doing things...

General :: THL W8s - Root Folder Deleted
May 11, 2014I own a rooted THL w8s. Today, I accidentally deleted a folder from the root menu.
The story is this one; I was trying to install an app but it would fail installation. So I read in here that if i moved the apk file in the root browser/data/app it would then get installed.
So I copied the file, went to the app folder but I couldn't find how to paste it. So I exited the app folder, long pressed it and a menu popped up that had the choice move. Unfortunately, what was moved was the app folder from the root menu and now no app is working! Worse than that, is that Google Play isn't available any more!
