Jul 4, 2013After I have completely cleared browsing data on my laptop (signed in on my Google account), deleted my entire Web History (google.com/history) and made a factory reset on my Samsung Galaxy Nexus.
Now after this, when I start the Google search app on my Nexus device and type a random letter - I still get suggestions based on my old searches. How can I completely clear my search history stored at Google?

Mar 17, 2012My son's Iphone 4s is under my sprint account, and I feel as the owner of the phone I should know what he is doing on it. While at the sprint store they described to me the Iphone 4s 16gb Black, can browse the web with a browser called Safari.
I'm trying to find my answer online, before having to call sprint, because usually the wait time is too long, when I can probably get some more information online. I am signed into my spring account on the sprint website, however, I have been unable to find anywhere to track his history.I'm not trying to be the snoopy parent here, but I would like to know what he is up to, because he sure is using the web a lot according to the bill.

Oct 7, 2013I have lost a few pdfs which I have been reading for weeks (!) on my Nexus 7 (Android 4.3). Via the reading history of my pdf reader (Moon+ reader) I can see that at least one file is still present in the cache under the following folder address: /data/data/com.google.android.apps.docs/cache/filecache2/c042587322c4a438463efbd2cc533cbf/mypdf1.pdf
How can I access this folder? When accessing the device via the Android File Transfer sofware for Mac, I don't see this folder. I have access to Android/data/com.google.android.apps.docs/files, but this folder contains no files but only another folder (called "pinned_doc_files_not_for_edit") which is also empty.
The lost pdf is still there, I can open it in the reader via the reading history, but I would like to access the folder to see whether other lost files (which are not in the reading history) are also still present. To be clear, the file which I can open is also not detected when searching the device for pdfs.

I have the history eraser app, I do that and go to the internet and delete the history cache and cookies manualy but when you hit the back button on the browser it still goes through all of the pages I have been to. Feb 20, 2013All pictures on my Samsung Galaxy S2 have accidentally been deleted. The files were on the mobiles internal memory & not a memory card. The mobile has not been rooted. Is there anyway to recover the files. I have read mixed messages online. Basic recovery software does not detect the mobile as they only look for physical external drives.
Have lost pictures that can never be replaced.

Jul 16, 2010Is there any way to secure call history for one of the phones in family plan, or will the primary account allways have access to every call any phone makes via the statements or online access?
Also, How much browser and download history information is available in statements and online for all phones on the family plan?
So is anybody doing seamless VIOP from the EVO on 3g? If so how? will VOIP calls show up in any logs outside the phone?
Any ETA on when it will get Skype without some third party? How about true multitasking while on Sprint Voice Call? I honestly can't believe it does not offer those two, I'm sure millions will jump when those come in.
BTW, I tested tethering with PDANet on 3g last night .. It worked great - not crazy fast, but good enough in a pinch.
I'm still waiting for 4g in the big city I live in.
For me, these are the monster items I've been waiting for.. Fast tethering, Voip Video and voice client , multitasking with voice.
One cool feature I will use tons is Voice command and Voice Typing.. they work awsome.

Information from read only accounts will be hidden in your contacts lists, not deleted". This means that contact is not being deleted but hidden somewhere in contacts lists. Feb 19, 2014I'm trying to move over to android from iphone but I have been having a hellish time trying to move my data over... the hardest part right now is getting my SMS history over, I have thousands of texts with important conversations so I really do want to keep them.
Here's what I have tried so far..
I tried the Samsung smart switch, I got some information over but my the text message transfer would freeze at 6%, and now the smartswitch app will hardly load up, it keeps stalling out itself so I can't even attempt more transfers! (I got to 6% about 4-5 times, and have had it stall out on me probably about 20 times).
I also tried this other site iPhone SMS to Android Converter along with the app isms2droid. Unfortunately, it doesn't seem to work with ios7.

Jul 17, 2010First of all i got the Nexus 1, with stock 2.2 FRF91. my phone has an internet connection by itself (i always have the 3g icon and ability to browse the net at all times - both with or without the hotspot on). i also have a laptop running win7 32bit which connects to my wireless router with no problem. i tried setting up wifi hotspot on my nexus (both opened and secured - same result) then connecting with my laptop, it connects fine but then win says it has no internet connection (also when opening the "network and sharing center" it shows that the connection between the laptop and phone is ok, but phone-internet is broken). also, im not sure if that is related, but i tried connecting the desktop computer (win7 32bit) with usb tethering. my desktop has the nexus drivers installed (i am using adb commands here and there with no problem) again, it is connected and the pc is saying something about a "remote internet device" but no internet connection!

ADB is up and working, and do find my phone when i do a adb devices command. When ADB is < Waiting for device >, I press call and power on at the same time tio enter fastboot mode, but the adb doesnt react, and the phone boots normaly. Ive also tried to enter the fastboot flash command just after ive enterd fastboot mode with my phone, but nothing happends.I have have rectools and the img in the tools folder. anyone know what could be wrong?

Apr 15, 2012I have a Samsung Galaxy S2 with Android 4.0.3 XXLPQ.It's rooted and now has CM9 installed.Unfortunately for some bizarre reason I have no internet connection. I've installed a different modem and it hasn't fixed the issue. APN settings are correct (I've spoken to my network). Sometimes it works absolutely fine then after a few moments it just won't load anything and I get a 'No internet connection' warning. Apps won't work either due to no connection. However I do have a 'H' and sometimes '3G' next to the signal bars. WiFi is working fine. Have full signal.. I've started from scratch and wiped everything several times and re-flashed xxLPQ but still nothing.

Nov 10, 2010I purchased an unlocked and unbranded Samsung Galaxy S i9000 from Amazon.
After playing around with it for some time, installing all sorts and getting to know how to use it I decided I would perform a factory reset to "clean" it before continuing to use it "properly".
Before performing the factory reset I navigated to "My Files", selected delete, then selected every single folder and file and deleted them.
I then performed the factory reset.
Now I am missing 4 images which were available as wallpaper in "gallery" and probably several other files/folders.
I thought the factory reset would return the phone to its original state and reproduce any folders/files I may have deleted in the process. I thought they might be stored in a hidden "partition" or similar which I had no access to.
Anyway my questions are how can I restore my phone to its original state and which other files/folders would have been present initially but have now been deleted by me?
