I desperately need to clear my internet history. On my new HTC all previous addresses come up when typing in an address and there are two in particular I need to delete.

View 14 Replies View Relatedi just got my desire afew days ago, i installed dolphin browser which i love but each time i visit a site i normally go on, it keeps on force closing down. its like a pop up that tells me internet explorer etc needs to close. now i have the update 2.1 which came with the phone but is their a way of fixing this issue? quite annoying.
View 3 Replies View RelatedRight basically you can find the UK T mobile internet settings on the T mobile website. On the Speed Test app, the highest speeds I get are 1.8m/bs downloads and around 500kpbs upload. However, those were at off peak times at night etc (probably when nobody is using the net).Generally I get anything from 0.3 m/bs to 0.9 m/bs though. Lately I've been experiencing some inconsistent internet speeds and reconnection attempts so for I've gone back to the default settings. Tbh though I'm not sure if it makes much difference.

View 5 Replies View RelatedI was composing an email and typed "jon" for my brother, but it brought up this dude who I used to work with and it almost inserted his email address. I deleted that guy from my EVO and it shows up as "HISTORY". I NEVER want to send an email to that person, so I DO NOT want the EVO to suggest his name from some "history" file. I have looked around but do not know how to clear out the email history list. Can someone please let me know how to do that? Sending an accidental email to folks that I have erased from my EVO would be not good.

I have not selected the option to delete all old messages, So im a bit confused and annoyed about this.Especially since ive lost a lot of important messages.Has anyone had the same issue? I've searched google and read several threads that mention going into Manage Applications, then clicking on Maps and clearing the cache there. View 12 Replies View RelatedWe've had our desire's for a few weeks now and was just wondering what the phones performance is like for you guys/gals? you've all put on apps that you want and music and videos etc., has this affected the phone in anyway? Does it still run like it did out of the box or do you experience lag or other faults? Interested what you have to say.
The only gripe that I have is it is sometimes slow to access the market and takes a few seconds to load the page when scrolling down and I've got a stutter when I access an app to read reviews. Other than that it still runs smooth, I've got music, videos, apps, widgets and voice to text on mine and is easily the best phone I've ever had. Has anybody got a cache cleaner app, I can only find one for rooted phones?
I really need to free up some space for future downloads. Before I just go ahead and clear data for random apps there are a few I'm quite sceptical about doing this to in-case it deletes certain things that can take a while to get back to the way it was before, if at all.
*HTC SENSE 2.42MB I don't use sense I use LauncherPro and don't plan on going back to sense in the near future.

*Facebook for HTC Sense 9.08MB <- I don't use this, I only use the above Dloadable app from the market.

*Contract storage 9.52MB really? HOW? if i was to remove all my contacts and save them to my sim instead would this sort out the issue? I've noticed over time that certain contacts I have like 10 duplicates for, I think this is because I had difficulty getting facebook profile pics as contact pics. Is there away for me to go through every contact and delete these unneeded, useless contacts?
Are the main ones id like to find out about.
The following few apps I'm guessing if I clear this data it will remove certain settings from my phone but I would still like some info on this if possible.

I don't know if this is an Android in general or Desire specific problem but I imagine all the sharpest minds have HTC Desires anyway so here goes:How do you get rid of the trail of previously visited sites that you step back though in the browser when you press the phone's back button? After clearing the history these pages persist and it seems the only way to lose them is to step back though each of them with the back button until you reach your home page when the next press finally 'closes' the browser. It's very annoying, especially if any of the pages you've visited have POST data or redirects.

Just wondering if there's a way of stopping it from displaying my call history when I want to see my contacts? When I press the phone button, I want to call one of my contacts, not have to scroll down from my call logs! The call logs should have been on a seperate button on the bottom of the screen I think.
