Nov 25, 2012I have a droid x, but over the weekend I got a razr maxx. What is the best way to transfer the data I want to keep, while not transferring data I don't need onto my new phone. My sd card seems to have a lot of files on it other than just my pictures and videos. I have titanium backup with all of my apps and data backed up. Should I only backup and restore user apps? Or I should I backup and restore user apps + system apps? My main concern is transferring things I don't need on my new phone. I don't want to clutter it up with useless files and data from old apps.

Mar 31, 2013Just have a quick question regarding the data on my phone. I am selling my phone tomorrow and I have a LOT of data on it which I need to transfer.
These are the things I wish to transfer-
-Contacts
-Old Messages and draft messages
-WiFi passwords
-Apps(lol obviously)
-App data
-Call logs
-Any other important things which I may have missed out.
I'm going to transfer my songs and videos manually via connecting my USB cable to the computer, I just don't want to mess up the other bits.
How do I transfer this to this to my computer so i can transfer it to my next phone? How do I transfer it to my next phone?
Additional info- My current phone is the Sony Ericsson Xperia Neo V (rooted) running ICS 4.0.4.
My next phone is most probably the Samsung Galaxy S3(International Version) I have Titanium Backu(free Version).

Apr 14, 2014 I purchased and gave my mother the THL T100S Android 4.2 smartphone. it works perfectly but I didn't know that this phone has limited ROM. So, I wanted to know how can I transfer game data like candy crush and other games to a different phone? I mean if I were to reinstall that game on another device using the same google play info, will game data transfer over? Meaning, evel and top score?
I have a spare smartphone with limited ROM; but larger than the THL T100S, the Pomp w89. The two are nearly identical, except the pomp has slightly more ROM. (The Pomp w89 was a gift to my dad but he didn't like it, preferred a physical keyboard.)

The second problem is the Pomp w89 does not send text messages. It happened within the first 2months of ownership. Something about message service number needs to be updated or something? Both are unlocked smartphones that set to use wifi only, they are under AT&T without a dataplan.

Feb 8, 2012Imagine the situation that Any data plan is not activated and as soon as u enable the data connection hundereds of thing in android want to connect to internet and when u disable the data connection again . Ur money is deducted.
Now u will ask me if i dont have a data plan why i enable the data connection.?
So here is the thing I want the data connection to be enabled so that i can open free site like facebook on Opera Mini.
So is there any way so that i can enable the data connection but my phone does not connect to internet to itself but i control which app connects. In my case opera mini.

Jul 23, 2013I have a PNY 16GB HC Micro SD card (in virgin mobile samsung reverb). I've had it for about seven months and the other day i dropped my phone (in otter box) and then it said it couldn't read my sd card so i pulled it and blew out the slot and on the card and put it back. It then said "SD card blank or unsupported data, so i put it in the adapter and put it in my computer. it detected it and i started to move my pictures and apps over to a file. in the middle of this it said "data transfer interrupted, please insert disk into drive" so i pulled it out and put it back. it did the same thing two more times and now it won't detect it at all. i don't wanna loose all the stuff.

I used Astro to back up my apps to SD, then installed them on the X, but they now dont show up in Market. They are just on the phone. so updates and such will not be found. Thing is, I have a few games I'm playing, and while I know I can simply redownload the games from the market on my new phone, is there any way I can also transfer the save data? I don't want to have to start all the way at the beginning, with games like Angry Birds, Cut The Rope, Symphony of Eternity, etc.
For what it's worth, my phone is not rooted.

May 9, 2012I found a new method to transfer contact data from Android to iPhone,I have used HTC desire for nearly one and half years and all the contact data in this device is so important for me. Then this year my brother gave me an iPhone 4S as my 21 years birthday present. It was a great gift, however, the problem comes to me that how I can transfer my contact data to my new iPhone 4s.
I searched Google and got some ways such as: using the Sim card, syncing to Google contacts; using Synkontact; or import and export my contact data using Moborobo.
I don't like to upload my contact data to any unknown internet space, so I choose not to use Google contacts and synkontact. Why? Because I don't trust any web storage space! So, Moborobo become my choice. I can safely export contact data on my HTC desire to my computer and import it to my lovely iPhone 4s. Ok, it's done! Easy and safe.
If you get other ways to transfer data between iPhone and Android.

Jul 21, 2012So I got the s3 two nights ago. And I want to transfer all my game data (ie, saves) over from my Desire Z. Contacts, sms, photos etc arent a problem.
Its just the games! well, not just any games, the kairosoft ones. i dont want too lose all my hard work on those little things!!
Neither device is rooted
Desire Z is running 2.3.3 (stock)
S3 is running 4.0.4
I tried using a program via pc called "wondershare mobilego for android" but it didnt transfer the saved games. same with "moborobo" (it has the option, but only for rooted devices!). I also tried transferring via sd card, and that didnt work either.
I was told mybackup pro would work - fail
I've seen many people suggest titanium backup in my searches - however i have heard that it will only back up game data if the device is rooted.

Mar 4, 2010I stepped on my first Eris (don't ask) and had to get a replacement through Asurion. Well, I thought when I got my new phone I would be able to redownload all the apps I had purchased but I cant. The Market wants me to pay for them all again. I guess the market tracks you specifially with your phone, not your account. So I called Verizon, of course they were no help. The chick didn't even try to help, I asked her if I could get those apps back and she stalled for a second like she really didnt know but also didnt want to take the time to find out, then she said NOPE. I was like man, that sucks, she said YEP! That was the end of the conversation. Surely there is a way for me to get these apps back without paying for them again? I know they are inexpensive but when you have 10 or so they start to add up! Not to mention I had my first phone for less than a month and hardly got to enjoy the apps I purchased. I've thought about emailing the dev's but dont know if thats a good approach or not.
