because I can't watch Sky Go, its saying that im rooted which im not.
So what I need is the ADB commands so I can temp root and deleted it

It can still turn on but it remains a black screen. Problem: It pops up every 10 seconds for some reason.This started last night and fustrating.
My phone is NOT root (phone is under warranty
Steps I tried to fix it.
1. Click Disable on the app. Does not work
2. Go to the app in Manage Apps and click clear cache and force stop. Does not work
3. Installed Doc No-Op app. This works, but it Car Home app still trys to open and Doc No-Op stops it, but this cause my screen to return to home page and bothers me i I am trying to text, email, browse internet, ect.
4. Installed NoDock trial, but want work because phone not root
5. Installed Titaumn Back, but want work because phone not root
6. Cleaned the charger port. Does not work.
7. Installed z4root, but does not work for G2 phones
8. Called Tmobil for replacement G2 but, the no longer carry G2. I like G2.
Do I need a new phone. I read that VISIONary can temporary root phone but can not find the app. Then I read that VISIONay is no good to root with.
Is there an app that will remove download restrictions?

I uninstalled the application using the app manager and that leaves 2 non-working icons on the screen. If I click either I see a pop-up message telling me the application is not installed. The app manager no longer includes the deleted app.
How can I get rid of the extra icons?

View 1 Replies View RelatedI'm new to Android (LG Optimus S) so maybe I'm missing something but I downloaded a lock screen widget today - and I can't uninstall it to save my life. I am not totally ignorant, I read the special instructions to remove the widget as a device administrator and tried that first but it just lets me select Deactivate but does not actually deactive, it stays as an administrator no matter what I do, so then the app won't uninstall.

The only thing that gets on my nerves is this "game of the day"widget that appears on my home screen every other day. If I ckick it, it takes me to the App store. I have to manually remove it which bothers me. I have no idea how to stop it. is this some official Google thing, that's part of Android? I don't think it's something Acer put on the tablet, because today's app wasn't even compatible w/ my device.

On my Nexus 4 when I launch the Google Plus app and go to All Circles. It has this "Welcome to Google+" post with a couple suggestions of people I should add. Then below that is a post from my circle. Then bellow that is a "Looking for more?" post from Google suggesting yet even more people I should add.
My problem is, I already added quite a few people to my Circles. I'm set. I don't want to keep seeing this "Welcome to Google+" and "Looking for more?" posts in my Google feed. It's distracting and I have to scroll past this every time just to see what I really came to see.
I want to like Google Plus. But I use Twitter mostly and have a hard time trying to embrace they weird way Google does things with this app on Android.
I want to know how to remove factory installed app from my phone.

My main question is will my root be lost when I root. & If so I would also like to know will I loose the ability to tether as well?
It took me some time to figure out to tether without that blasted AT&T warning coming up saying I didn't pay for the service. I use Straight Talk on my LG Nitro HD so I can't activate it any other way.
So I guess to summarize I want to know if I upgrade, will loose my root? & If I do loose the root, will the settings I modified be restored to AT&T default shutting down my tethering ability?

I know that the android version 2.3.4 (cool ic sense) doesn't allow this function, as it was added later in newer android versions (or sense versions?).
Either way, is it possible to go inside the rom and edit the sense launcher, so that it only shows 3 screens for example.
