View 1 RepliesThis is probably the easiest and quickest method to ROOT your Cherry Mobile Flame 2.0/ Karbonn S1 Titanium.
STEPS:
1. Download ZIP File for rooting in the attachments below
2. Connect your device to a pc and copy and paste the ZIP file you just downloaded to the external card on the device. (it really does not matter if your phone is in USB debugging mode or not.)
3. Disconnect the device from the PC safely and turn it off.
4. Hold the volume up key+ power button at the same time until a green screen appears. (this is the fastboot mode) Keep holding until screen turns red (recovery mode) and release to enter stock recovery.
5. Navigate using hardware buttons (power to confirm selections) and wipe cache partition and factory reset data.
6. select "apply update from external SD card" and navigate to where you pasted the ZIP file for rooting.
7. Confirm the ZIP file selection and wait for the process to finish.
8. Reboot the device.
Your phone should now be rooted. the super user app should now be visible in the app drawer of the device.
I have rooted my Wife's Karbonn S1 Titanium via Framaroot - Gandalf method. It was easy and 100% Rooted.

View 1 Replies View Relatedis there any way to restore titanium backups without root access?
View 2 Replies View RelatedI currently use Titanium Backup, but it is growing tiring to have to sit there and man the phone while I am restoring apps, so now I am looking for another app that will restore apps and data without having to choose each app individually. I know most people will say "Just buy the donate version". Unfortunately that is not an option for me. Why not? Because the dev doesn't offer the donate version in Market, nor does he offer a donate through google checkout. His donation is paypal only, and due to some recent VERY bad experiences with paypal, I have closed out my account and I refuse to ever use paypal again. what options am I left with? I've been poking around market for a while now, but it seems like every other backup I can find is for personal data only.

I successfully rooted my phone tonight. No problems there.
I successfully installed the Epic Experience v1.1.10 ROM. Everything seems to have installed properly.
All seems to be well, so I went to install Titanium Backup to restore all of my apps from my stock Epic. The installation went fine. I try to run the app for the first time, and I get the following error: "Sorry, I could not acquire root privileges. This application will *not* work! Please verify that your ROM is rooted and includes BusyBox, and try again".
So I know that my root included BusyBox, because I was able to install and run it on the stock ROM. But just for kicks, I clicked "Problems?" and downloaded the version it says will work. No difference.
I have rebooted the phone several times. Makes no difference.
I have deleted and re-installed Titanium Backup. Makes no difference.

View 3 Replies View RelatedI have bought the Karbonn ST8 a few days back. While doing a Factory reset I have lost some application. One of which I use a lot, it was EReader. Now I am unable to get the apk for this software. This was custom made by Karbonn folks so I can not get it in Google Play store.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI have a Karbonn A6 phone given to me by my friend because it was locked. It's asking for gmail user/pass but he doesn't have it. I tried to boot into recovery mode using Power+Volume Up button but all I get is a white triangle with an exclamation mark in it. I can't seem to go beyond that. USB debugging was perhaps not enabled unless it was enabled by default. There is no camera button, only power and Volume Up/Down. What do I do?
I just need to get this phone working somehow. Is there a way to use a computer and a USB cable to get it running?
