to reset i5500 it's no so sample
-first u need to download adb (android debug bridge)MEGAUPLOAD - The leading online storage and file delivery service adb.rar
-then copy the two files in to windowssystem32
-power on the phone the phone and setup the drivers
-open cmd and type "adb reboot recovery"
-the phone will reboot and enter in recovery
-select wipe data adn then reboot

Long time Droid user, brand new to the Fascinate Forum. I just bought my wife a Samsung Fascinate and I have to say the thing is absolutely phenomenal! It makes my Motorola Droid look like a 1990's flip phone!! Except for one problem the darned thing has been automatically spontaneously performing a factory reset / hard reset on itself.And it is happening at completely random times. You're sitting there playing a game, you're reading your e-mail or you just pushed the screen ON / power button to wake the phone up and unlock it and then, all of a sudden The phone reboots to the black and white Samsung startup screen, then recovery pops up and yellow writing appears that says "Formatting FOTA:", "Formatting DATA:", "Formatting CACHE:". Then the phone reboots again and comes up like you just pulled it out of the box; a full factory reset / hard reset. The contents of the SD card are thankfully fine.Is anyone else having this problem? Does anyone know if there is anything I can do to turn on some sort of logging so that maybe I can figure out what causes it? This is now the second phone that this is happening to. We took the first phone back to Verizon the very same day we got it and they swapped it out right there for another brand new one. The second phone behaved perfectly for three whole days before it went and wiped itself. We thought for sure that the problem was with the first phone, but now it is happening with the second phone.I am going to start from scratch again, adding one app at a time making sure the thing continues to work. But there weren't any apps on the device in the first place that were really out of the ordinary.- Gmail POP3 Yahoo- Corporate E-Mail to Microsoft Exchange Server (No, it wasn't the Exchange Admin sending a kill package, I'm the Exchange Admin)

I have all of those apps and more on my Motorola Droid (also connected to the same Exchange Server) and my device is behaving just fine.I'm trying to think of reasons this might happen and I'm drawing a complete blank.
I have recently bricked my samsung i5500 by flashing it with wrong software(that's what I think anyway). Phone is not responding at all. The screen is black at all times. I've tried volume down + ok + call end with no effect also UnBrickableMod didn't work. Is there any way to get it to work again?
View 5 Replies View RelatedSo I made my first attempt at rooting the phone and it did not go well to say the least. I ran the unroot, and then I did a factory reset on the phone. It starts up fine, screen works well, but no connection to T-mobile, and Wi-Fi won't work. I tried searching for a network through settings but it won't find anything. Does anyone now how to fix this?

View 3 Replies View RelatedSo I did a hard reset of my Vibrant a few days ago (delete user data). I was able to reinstall most of my apps very easily because the market still had them listed in the downloads section. The only problem is, the preinstalled apps were all reset to their original versions, and I can't update them. The two that I'm concerned with in particular are Google Maps and T-Mobile My Account. If I look at them in the market, the only control available is "Open". "Uninstall" is greyed out and disabled. Basically, the market thinks that I already have the latest version installed, even though I don't, so it doesn't give me the option to update. The My Account app is completely broken. If I try to run it, it just sends me to the market saying that I need to update it. Then of course, the market doesn't give me that option, so I can't use the app at all.

Once again, I must do a hard reset on my Samsung Moment. I love and hate this phone! My calls started randomly going directly to voice mail, then they all went directly to voice mail. Yesterday I couldn't make or receive any calls! They got that fixed today with a reprogram process, BUT, now I cannot connect to the Internet!
How do I forward/save, whatever, my text messages? Can I save them somehow to the SD card and remove it? Can I forward them to my email (without using the Internet?).
I have the messaging program that is standard, plus I use Chomp SMS mainly.
I've forgot my password and i wanna hard reset my device, but when i reboot, i counldn't find "wipe data" or " factory reset".

I rooted it yesterday and removed all the bloat. I also installed several root only apps to optimize the phone. It ran smoother than even right out of the box.
So, I figured it be a good idea to backup the rom, and maybe later try cyanogenmod... So I installed Rom Manager by clockworkmod
It said i needed to install clockwork recovery rom. I went in there but it said my device was unsupported (only like 12 were) so I backed out, and stupidly hit TWRP listed under "Recovery Already Installed". (thinking that meant what options I had to SETUP a recovery/backup)
I hit backup rom. almost instantly the phone restarted. After the bios, but before android it went to a screen with a box, and an arrow pointing from the inside of the box to the little android man. Then went to the regular android boot screen. It does this every reboot now. The SuperSU is still there, whenever Rom Manager (which I have to reinstall each reboot) asks for root access I get that dialog box, so it hasn't actually hard reset the phone I don't think. But all the user data, contacts, apps, wifi passwords, google id "(to access Play) get wiped out.
I understand what I did wrong. I think I understand what its doing (booting to the factory rom as it was, and I can't set it to stop doing it each reboot)
what I had previously, among other things, I had a bunch of tasker profiles and notes that will be time consuming to replace.
EDIT: SuperSU is now listed among the factory installed apps. This is unchanged each reboot.
Question: If I unroot the phone what that invalidate Rom Managers ability to run before android boots?
i have a lava Etab Z7H. its locked with too many pattern attempts . i tried nearly all combinations to hard reset but none worked . its a android 4.0.3 OS.

My samsung i5500 wont boot normally so I want to try booting it into recovery and resting it. I've tried power, center key and volume down. which I thought was the recovery combination but it just comes up with an icon saying downloading and does nothing. View 2 Replies View RelatedI have an ASUS TF700KL tablet that I'm trying to fix a firmware update on. The only firmware update available for this model can be downloaded from the ASUS webpage - you can't get it from the settings menu.
The unzipped file is a .raw file, so the only way I can get the tablet to update the firmware using this file is if I put it on the external SD card and make a hard reset launching from the SD card. However, for some weird reason the tablet can't see the SD card when in the boot mode. The SD is clearly visible and accessible when using the tablet.
I have 2.3.6 gingerbread OS. I want to factory reset it. but it reboots and my installed apps are still here. Then I want to reboot in recovery mode but it boot in normal mode. Then i try to reset it by using ADB Terminal. When i enter the command it says:

Recently my phone feel so slugish and the mp3's are not playing on any music app. Ive searched through the internet that if i do a hard reset and clean dalvik cache that should fix it. But when i done that something went wrong with my android phone. It boots with no problem but when the boot finishes the screen just go black. I know it is booted cause it vibrates when i press the buttons(haptic feedback) but its just black screen. Im using mt6516 android platform phone. Cherry Mobile Candy to be exact.

I proceed to call "611" and then press the "call" button and the phone just sits at the dial screen and does not call. The phones are all receiving perfect signal and sim cards are in the phones. After letting the phone sit for about 10-15 minutes on the call screen I noticed one of the phones would randomly make the call. This does not happen to all of them.
I also noticed that the phones would not hard reset from the setting menu. It would act like it was loading for a hard reset then would just disappear. I would have to manually go to the recovery menu using the power/volume buttons. Hard resetting does not fix the issue. They are all at version 4.0.4 and are all doing the same thing. One of my extra XT912 is at 2.3.6 and has no problems. Could it be the 4.0.4 software??

Alright, so here's what's going on. Recently, something happened and the tablet asked to do a hard factory reset. It stopped at a screen that terminated in red text "Verified Failed". It is a stock device. The only thing different is that it was running Nova Launcher. No rooting, nothing else. Nearly all of the posts I have found assume that some level of rooting has occurred, and the rest are unresolved. I have nothing, not even any tools, because almost all of the links to tool downloads terminate in dead dropbox links or uncomfortably sketchy download sites.
I have a ZTE/SFR Staraddict and it is locked to the google account request and i can't access to the menu. How can i do to reset it.
