View 1 Replies View RelatedI have a galaxy y pro. It's still functional and I want to add useful apps in it. Unfortunately for a smartphone it only has 160mb internal memory.
It's already rooted.
How do I turn my sd card into the internal memory?
That way if I download apps like zombie run it goes directly to the sd card.
Oh snap! I don't have a witty tapatalk signature!
My brother owns the Samsung Galaxy S but it has decided to delete everything off both the internal storage and his SD card!
View 1 Replies View RelatedPrior to installing the external card - the folders app showed /sd. Which I assumed was the internal one. Then I insert the external one, reboot the phone, and tehre is no additional directory in the folder view. Why is this? Secondly, its a 16GB card. Its reported as 14.58GB. The format option is greyed out. Is it automatically mounted at power on? Ideally I want to know where I install things to know that they are on the external card.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI'm currently owning a Malaysia production smartphone called ninetology Pearl mini i5350. This device is powered by android v2.3.5, kernel 2.6.38.6-perf, hardware version HW4000-E4B-V1.2. I had tried numerous ways to root my phone but unfortunately all failed.
So far what I had tried:
Super one click root - freeze at step#7
Poot.apk - downloaded ministro ii but nothing happened (no key for me to press update)
srs root - auto root failed
Unlock root - root failed
Universal android root - root failed
Gingerbreak - stuck at rooting process.
I had tried many others but forgotten their names. My purpose of rooting is to increase my internal memory as the phone's internal memory has only 100+mb can be used. If there's any way for me to use sd card memory as my internal memory without rooting my phone that's great enough.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI was a self confessed iphone lover.. But a few days ago curiosity got me and I decided to get a Galaxy S3.
I can't say how much a love this phone and am a bit ashamed that I didn't realize how great android devices were. So far I have been able to find out on my own how to do pretty much everything I needed done except for one thing.
I work in music hence have a lot of music on my phone. I didn't want to restart the cataloging process of recreating playlist after playlist. So i found a solution to transfer my itunes to my phone.
I did this with Air Sync and DoubleTwist. The main problem I have is it put all of my music on my internal memory card and now it is full. I have a 32gb external SD card that is empty right now and was wondering if there is a solution to quickly transfer all of my music from the internal memory to the SD card. Furthermore I would like for the air sync / doubleTwist software to put all future music on the SD card as well.
I'm having trouble changing the external memory for internal, already used the "external 2 internal", vold.ftab changed the script. with external 2 internal cards are the 2 with the same amount of bits. and using the script does not recognize the external sd.
View 1 Replies View RelatedCan you do that without connecting to a computer? My computer is being repaired and I have no more memory in the sd card. Can it be done or should I buy another one for now?
View 3 Replies View RelatedI have Prestigio PAP 4500 dual SIM phone with 4 GB internal memory and external microSD card 16GB - rooted. This 4 GB internal memory is devided on 2 part:
1.st labeled as Internal storage with 503 MB - this is location for app installation
2.nd labeled as Internal memory card with 2 GB - this is empty because I use externalSD 16GB.
Because Internal storage (503 MB) is too small for all app I'd like to install phone often pop up message "Storage space running out". How to change installation path so apps install on Internal memory card (2 GB) ??
I tried:
1. change in Settings, Storage, Preferred install location, SD card but after reinstalling all apps again get "Storage space running out"
2. install Mobile Uncle Tool (chinese menu), right button click on 1.st pop up, AppToSD, choose external, press button under it and install all apps again but again get "Storage space running out".
In both cases no change in capacity of Internal memory card with 2 GB.
Just rooted my 2.2 Incredible tonight using Unrevoked3 on my Macbook. Everything was fine. I had RomManager and wanted to get Cyanogen, but I wanted to back up my apps first just in case. So I ran Titanium Backup. I wasn't sure how to do it, so I went to Menu>More>Create "update.zip". The phone started doing something, then it said it failed to create update and then the phone went dead. Tried powering back on, got to HTC Incredible screen, then screen went black and phone did 5 quick vibrations back to back and the green "new message" indicator light started blinking like I had a new email or something.
Tried powering back on, but nothing happened. Pulled battery, put it back, still nothing. Had to pull battery, plug phone into computer, put battery back in and then it powered on. Tried a Reboot, but that didn't do anything. Tried re-running unrevoked3, but it won't do anything because now my phone can't find any SD card or internal memory. Both are just grayed out. So even though my phone has 8gig internal and an 8gig external SD card in it, it's not showing either. I can't load a new ROM because it needs the SD card. I put the SD card into my computer and it shows all of my stuff on there, so the card isn't corrupted.
I have done all the method of Link2sd by making partition of my sd card. But my Qmobile noir a2 internal memory still going to lower down..
why is it so i hav linked all the lib files, dalvick cache ...every time i installed a new app it takes my internal memory lower down ..
I have this strange memory problem on my Samsung Galaxy SII Last week I flashed CheckRom RevoHD on my cellphone and everything went well (Titanium Backup etc...)
This morning I downloaded and installed Omega Files (Omega Series ROM kitchen) on my cellphone after a few hours it switched off. And then it took like 10 minutes to switch back on as the screen was stuck on the splash screen.
I had like 500-600Mo of free memory out of 2Go for apps and now I only have 20Mo...
Is there any file manager (that sorts folders by size) out there so I can do so cleaning ?

My phone is GT-I9260 8G,actually the available internal storage only 3.4G.
So i got a 32GB TF card and i try to modify the vold.fstab to swap internal/external storage card, but failed.

View 1 Replies View RelatedWhen making an image I accidentally had Clockworkmod image be saved to the device itself instead of being saved to the external SD card.
I am able to browse to it using Root Explorer and select to Copy it, but how do I PASTE it onto the external SD card when Root Explorer only accesses the device directory and not the external SD card?
Quick 2nd question: I know on some previous devices such as the Galaxy S 4G you were *not* supposed to run Clockworkmod after booting in and from the Apps Drawer, instead you were only supposed to run directly from the startup screen before booting in. Is it OK to actually start the Clockwork Backup/Restore process from the Apps Drawer of the Galaxy S4 and let it reboot and do its thing or is it only supposed to be run BEFORE booting in?
Does anybody know how to transfer apps from internal memory to the sd card?
View 4 Replies View RelatedI'd like to take some of the data that is automatically downloaded to the SD card and have it run off the internal memory. Is there a list of apps that allows this without problems?
View 7 Replies View RelatedAs I did some research I found out, and correct me if I am wrong, that most of the applications that we download on the Droid go against the internal memory, and that the applications are not being loaded onto the memory card. I move to the Droid from Blackberry for this sole reason, thinking the Droid had it the opposite way, that the applications were being loaded on the memory card, and not the internal memory. This concept of loading the programs onto the internal memory, was putting a hurt on my Blackberry, where I had to give up programs in order for it to run faster. I am now concerned after finding out that the Droid has the same concept, that this will eventually happen with my Droid, and that I may have to give up programs for it to run fater as well. If this is true to what I am saying, that the applications are on the internal memory and eating away on it, then I am hoping someone would develop a program where as we can take our progams and move them over to the memory card so that it will free up the internal memory, other wise I am off to seek aphone that runs windows, I do belive they do have this concept that I want. I should have done my homework!
View 3 Replies View RelatedIt's my first time here and i received my new Hero (or T Mobile G2 Touch) yesterday so sorry if i'm asking a dumb question! I put the micro SD from my old phone into the Hero and as it's full up i was hoping to transfer some of the files onto the phone using the internal memory, but i cannot find a way of doing this. Also now that the card is full i am unable to take new photos cos there is no space for them to be stored. Do i have to do something to access the internal memory?
