I "permanant" rooted my vodafone 858 with z4 root.. and when it turned itself to reboot, it got stuck on the vodafone logo..! The phone won't load, and the vodafone logo repeditely comes up....
Does this mean that my phonen is bricked and I should chuck it away?? Is there anyway to fix it?

View 9 Replies View RelatedI have a Vodafone Smart Chat (half touchscreen, half physical keyboard, blackberry style) and I am constantly out of internal memory, even though I have about 3 very small apps installed that aren't factory installed. I have an 8gb card in it of my own, however, whenever I install an app it first needs to be installed to internal memory first, according to Vodafone, so due to lack of space available nothing can be installed.
Apps that I have installed say they are on the external card, but I notice that when installing/un-installing, the internal memory increases/decreases by the storage amount the app uses.
I haven't been able to find the required software to root it.

View 4 Replies View RelatedI am using LG Optimus Vu P895 with V10c FW and its rootable with Root with Restore Bin4ry version 17 or 18, but now I got the phone upgraded to V10c over OTA (or KDZ file) and my phone is no more rootable by that method. I tried to run the tool as I did before but it ended very soon and the phone didn't restart as expected, maybe LG fixed the exploit to root this phone. How to root it after upgrading to V10c?
View 2 Replies View RelatedI purchased a AOSON M60 fabbed at foxconn a couple of weeks back, it claims to be pre-Rooted. From Item Description: "The machine has obtained permanent ROOT privileges, a great convenience to the user management system software and remove unwanted software."
I have tested this with the Root checker app and it fails reporting that the device isn't rooted. I have checked this with Titanium Backup and it also reports it's not rooted.
When i have checked this with SuperOneClick v 3.2.2 it says:
Checking if rooted... CheckIfRooted 0.14s True
Checking for shell root... CheckIfShellRooted 0.15s False
The application then stopps at Shell rooting device...-Step #7 WaitForDevice (This never completes)
From my simple understanding, the shell rooting is a one shot thing per boot, and isn't required if the device reports back that rooted=true.
Ok, I ran the new beta flash, it appeared to do what it was supposed to do, it got hung up on the clockwork recovery page, but rebooted. Now, how do I tell if I am rooted?

I am rooted with the first of toast's steps and running an early fresh rom 2.1. I never felt up to doing the rest of the steps and I never did the ota update. Does anyone know whether I can simply use the simple root to rerot or fully root with recovery now in order to flash the rooted 2.2 roms that require nand /recovery and does it matter that I never did the update?

I have tried to root by having checked the box (with google) and tried it by not checking it. When my phone reboots i get the exclamation mark with a little phone on it. Now, my phone is switched off since 15 days, when ever i try to switch it on, it vibrates once and nothing at all afterwards...if i press power button again, it won't vibrate, unless and untill i remove the battery and reinsert it in phone..
i see three red flashes of light, when connected to PC..
1. PC Companion for update, repair and custom repair is not working...most of the time phone is not detected..
2. SE-update service is also not working and phone is shown as Xperia arc..
3. Flashtool, doesn't recognize the handset
4. few, technician told me box flash would work, but again, it didn't work out
Now, i don't know much about this, but i do understand that hardware seems to be good, till now, the only issue is software and that to initial boot process i.e. bootloader.
is there any other way i can upload a new custom rom on my xperia ??
I have a [Gen2] ZTE v9 Tab which had 2.2 as the stock OS which I managed to get upgraded to 2.3 using modcore everything was gr8. I pushed my luck little further and tried to install Android ICS in order to do that I did a TPT using image file and after doing that my tab is bricked.
It's not booting into the OS I tried to get into the FTM mode but that doesn't work now only thing that work's is the ADB I tried the recovery methods that can be done through ADB but it says "sh:/sbin/recovery xxxx" missing.
What I think is that the system partition was recreated and Is there any way that I can get the system files on to the tab using ADB or a way to copy entire directory on to the tab using the ADB.
Got the system to boot to FTM but when I try to flash it the software fails and gives a error "Failed to Get aprmg x x x " some thing like that if there's a way to skip this I'll be able to get my tab back to working condition.
