General :: Visual Studio-like (or IDE) Android App?

I've googled stuff about any IDE or at least an app for android that would be able to compile, but then I ended up with nothing. I've heard Surface Pro would support Visual Studio, so I thought, wouldn't the Android be able to handle that too? I would go for the Surface Pro but rumor has it that the starting price would be $900, and that hurts my pocket. Are there any Android apps or hacks that would enable me to compile even the simplest console applications? I was thinking of getting a tablet instead of a laptop for my programming classes.

I'd like to set up Android SDK with Netbeans or Visual Studio 2010. I am coming back to Windows programming after 3 months on Apple iMac (for iPhone programming).Would somebody be able to explain how to set up the NetBeans environment so I can compile and test Android Apps directly form NetBeans.I will be testing on a simulator, not a real device. My platform is Windows 7 Ultimate.It seems I can't use Eclipse even if I wanted to. It can't find the Java VM DLL.

Yesterday my Blu Studio 5.0s has frozen and I've tried for a hard reset, till there, ok ! but after hard reset my phone died !

debugging an application from the new enviroment Android Studio. When i press the debug logo, it installs on my device successfully, however i get this message constantly from the ADB Log (DDMS): "DeviceMonitor: Adb rejected connection to client '19322': closed" thus i cannot debug.
I have tried rebooting PC and rebooting device several times.I'm running Avast AntiTheft which has an option to prevent USB debugging, but that one is disabled.

I've done a few searches yesterday on the forum concerning an issue I'm having with the installation process of the Samsung New Pc Studio for my Samsung i7500. After I wish to upgrade my firmware from 1.5 to 1.6 or higher if possible. (Is it possible to upgrade to Froyo 2.2 ?) I have downloaded the following file from Samsung's web site to install the New Pc Studio: New_PC_Studio_1.5.1.10064_2.exe which seems to be a recent file (2010). At the end of the extraction the installation process begins and shows me this nice error message: PC Studio Issue Error Message on Twitpic. Whatever I press YES, NO or CANCEL, it cancels the installation process.

Only problem i bumped into is that 'new pc studio' software doesn't see the i7500 as a valid phone, so no synchronising with outlook etc yet. The 'new pc studio' software which is included sees the i7500 but says it is a not recognized device must be a usb driver missing. Hope samsung new studio software wil accept android phones soon, Kinda stupid to include a software cd which doesnt work with the included phone. Also transfering mp3's through the phone in solid disk option crashes all the time.

That's basically the problem. My Visual Land Prestige 10 Android 4.0 10" Tablet i got from WalMart readily connects to all kinds of public wi-fi networks with no problems. BUT it will not connect to my home wi-fi network, which is from Cox Cable via a Linksys router.
I have several other devices, including a Palm Tablet, a Galaxy S3, and an Asus laptop, and all of these connect to my home wi-fi with no problem.
So why does my tablet not do so? It recognizes the existence of the wi-fi network, but never connects. It just says "saved", and that's it.

I installed RocketDial and AT&T Visual Voicemail. I had to change my voicemail password when setting up the AT&T visual voicemail app since I had forgotten it. I can leave a voicemail but new voicemail never appears in the AT&T app or on when I dial the VM thru RocketDial.

My Visual land Prestige 7 stock version was 4.0.4 but i wanted to root it to upgrade it to Cyg 10 Jelly Bean 4.1.2. I ran some scripts in gscript which caused serious problems just for a cwm restore. When restoring, it said failed to format /system. I tried to manually format it and it can't mount anything. What do I do now?

I just followed on of the threads to Root my Samsung Galaxy S3 from Rogers.
Are there any generic rooted bakcups without any carrier software?
Reason and problem is that I am with Fido and the phone is from Rogers. I cannot use the Visual Voicemail from Fido if the Rogers Voicemail application is still there.

I've had Z10 from Fido and I've traded it for Galaxy Note 2 which was locked to Rogers.
Fido sim card would still work, however, I got my phone unlocked anyways. I'm trying to use Fido's visual voicemail application.Every time when I try to load the app (without Wi-Fi connected), it says that I need to uninstall it since I have another voicemail application which is Rogers'
I got all of those Rogers' app hide and disabled but wouldn't work.how to use Fido voicemail application?

Sometimes when I try to install custom roms with odin3 I get a Microsoft Visual C++ Runtime Library error. It always says: "This application has requested the Runtime to terminate in an unusual way. Please contact the application's support team for more information". Right now, I am trying to flash a custom rom and it is giving me this. Do I need to change something in the data.img or something?

I have create a listview . When listview is created I used setSelection(0) to set it to first listitem. But there is no visual effect, the selected listitem is not changed to listed color. In my application, I want to high light the first listItem by default. Does anyone know how to do that?

If I understand correctly though the GPU in the Droid 1 is ES2.0 Compliant, so it should have at least 2 texture units, any idea why I'm getting this weird look in my app on the Droid 1?

I thought ADT should come with a visual editor for building GUI : http://stackoverflow.com/questions/851882/easy-way-to-build-android-ui However, I just cannot find it. I was wondering where is the Visual Editor for Eclipse with the ADT plugin. I can run HelloWorld application without problem. However, whenever I click on main.xml at the left navigation tree layout folder, here is what I get. What I wish to get is a WYSIWYG editor.
