General :: Samsung Galaxy S II LTE - Outlook Sync Locally
Nov 6, 2013I have a Samsung Galaxy S II LTE and wood like to be able to synchronize my outlook data (calendar mainly but if possible the entire outlook) locally. I work for a company that does not allow to store any of the company business information outside so I can not go via cloud. Any app that allows this?

Oct 11, 2010I just synchronized my new phone with my local Outlook-calendar (no Exchange) by using Samsung Kies. My PC OS is Windows 7.
I don't know, if this is a specific problem to Kies or a general Android-issue: All the past calendar entries (for a couple of years) have been synchronized too. I think, this is not really necessary.
And secondly, my mobile-calendar showed an automaticly generated entry every Monday with the information of the week-number until December 2011.

Sep 11, 2010I just downloaded the Kies software and when i go to sync my contacts with outlook i get this error: Execution privileges prevent you from accessing outlook. Please try again with administrator privileges.
I have no contacts on my phone right now. I deleted them all because i had up to 5 of the same contacts due to At&t sync, face book,and gmail all syncing at the same time. The software looks very good very similar to the BB software i'm just not sure if its outlook, my pc privileges, or something else blocking it. I am admin on my laptop.

Sep 28, 2010I finally got my work email sync'd on my Android phone (Outlook). However, all my annoying meetings from work are now popping up as "notifications" in my phone's status bar. I can't stand corporate meetings, which are a colossal waster of time, and i don't want to be reminded of all the meetings on my work schedule. I was able to successfully turn of the Outlook mail notifications on my phone (and I still get Gmail notifications, since they are two separate email systems, which is exactly what I want). How do I turn my "Outlook calendar reminders," but still be reminded of my Google Calendar reminders, which is my personal, and far more important, calendar?

Feb 5, 2012I am looking for a way to keep my contacts and calendar from GMail in sync with Outlook. What is the best way to do this? I used the Google Calendar Sync in the past, but I didn't like it. As for the contacts, I am wanting to keep EVERYTHING synced with Google, such as contact photo, notes, ect. I do use more than one calendar on Google. I am not sure if that would make a difference or not. Is the best thing to do set up my own Exchange/Activesync server? Or is there an app that will do just this?

Feb 18, 2014At work I have more than just the email calendar. I have a design calendar for allowing my sales reps and project managers to post events to. I also have my main email account calendar. I am the owner of both calendars but the only one that syncs with the stock calendar app is my email account calendar from outlook. This was very easy to do with my windows phone. I just ticked the calendars I wanted to sync to my phone. Was just like my outlook program at work. Showed my owned calendars and let me decide which ones I wanted to populate to my calendar app. I cannot find a way to do this on android. The only calendar it gives me is the main email calendar. I do not want to allow everyone in my work to see my email calendar just so it will show up on my phone easier. All the people can see the design calendar and edit it. This allows them to schedule projects and can see available bandwidth for my department.
Is the rift between google and MSFT too much that neither of them allows the other to do things, or is this just samsung not empowering their app to see other owned exchange calendars?

I would REALLY like to have my Outlook calendar (at minimum) pushed/synchronized to my phone. Is there an app or a way to configure this to work? Right now I am using the Outlook Web Mobile app for my email and I can view my calendar there but I would like schedule/calendar all in one place.

It does not transfer appointments that were created by others that I have accepted. I never had a problem with my old Win Mobile phone and Active sync. I cannot connect to our Exchange server for updates so I must sync directly with my local client. I am getting so sick of companies telling me how I should be doing stuff. I currently have a blackberry that syncs everything wireless and seamlessly (ie., contacts, emails, tasks, calendars, notes). I would like to get a new Verizon Indredible but company does not and won't enable active sync (whatever that is). My question is is there a program that I can install directly onto my office PC myself that will "push" or otherwise wirelessly sync all of my outlook information that is currently synced on my Blackberry? The contacts sync as expected but everytime I perform the sync the time on my Hero is set 30mins forward which would correspond with the time in the eastern states of Australia. I've checked the timezones on my PC & Hero and they are set correctly. I've scoured the net for fixes but haven't found a fix for this annoying issue. I did discover that in a previous version of HTC Sync you could set the timezone within HTC Sync during the installation if it detected a mismatch, but I wasn't presented with the option to set it to get it's time from the PC...

Dec 22, 2009I just bought my first Android (Acer Liquid) and there are a few apps which I think I can uninstall ....
a) Messaging - I use handcent SMS now not the default app.
b) Acer Sync - Does this just sync with Outlook? I don't use Outlook or need to sync any windows files.
c) Default Browser - I now use Dolphin so the default browser.
d) Email - I just use Gmail.
e) Gmail - I think accessing Gmail via a browser is now Google's best supported method.
f) Gmail Storage - as above.
g) Nemoplayer - I use TuneWiki.
h) RoadSync - I do not use Outlook. This sounds the same as AcerSync.
i) Sync Feeds - Not sure what this does.
