I am checking this out on behalf of a friend. He has a Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 tablet. He also has a Linux based server at home which he has his photos and films stored on. Is there a way for him to access these files from his tablet. Can he stream the films from the server to the tablet? Does he need to download an app for this?

I have a Samsung Galaxy SII 4G, love this phone. However I have some issues when it comes to flash and streaming video stuff. I can seem to watch youtube videos just fine but trying to go to other sites that have flash or streaming videos, it just doesn't play at all. Also some sites with flash will only show up with a green arrow in the area where there's supposed to be a video. I have downloaded Adobe flash and Flash AIR. Have tried multiple browsers with all having the same problems. I am also having this problem on my Viewsonic G-Tablet.
View 4 Replies View RelatedI have a co-worker who suddenly can not connect to her Exchange account via her phone. It mysteriously stopped syncing emails on Dec. 5, and since then the phone can not connect to the server. Error message reported is "Unable to connect to server." I even completely deleted the Exchange account from the phone and attempted to re-add it, but adding a new account failed with the same error message.
The weird thing is that the account worked perfectly fine before Dec. 5, and we can't think of anything that changed on the phone or on the server at that time. Meanwhile, other Android phones in our workplace continue to receive messages from the Exchange server, including my own Nexus 4 with the exact same server settings and another co-worker's Droid Razr.
The problem phone is a Samsung Galaxy S on US Cellular, running Android 2.3.6.
Through my satellite reciver i can stream live on internet as http:// as well as mms://. i can watch these live streams on other pc through wmp or any other player , but when i try it on SGS with different media player options, it doesn't show anything,,, do i need to install some kind of app or a special media player for live streaming.

When I set up the account everything appears to go well but then I get a modal window telling me to visit orange.seven.com.I've visited that page and it is empty.The same thing happens when I try to connect to a hotmail account and a Google account using the blue Google icon (rather than the default black one). what exactly does it mean? I googled it and tried the clear data/cache of google play/google frame and it did not work.
I have also deleted then added back my gmail account and it did not work.

S2 i777...a friend of mine bought it for me from us and i unlocked it using the code purchased from ebay..my problem is that i rooted my device to remove bloatware from the device and accidently removed samsung stock weather app(accuweather)completely..after that i unrooted my phone to stock stage as it was at the time my friend bought it but the weather app is no where to be found on my device....i tried to find for a solution to reinstall that app..i found the apk from here but when i try to install it gives me an error "Application not installed".

1. Right now I have about a thousand google contacts synced to my phone. I want to remove them at one go. I know how to disable them from being appearing in contact list, but I want to know if I can delete them without going to factory settings.
2. I am using three applications (a) Gmail (b) Contacts (3) MVOIP. I want to know if there is a way that following combination works:
a- Google contacts appear on Gmail app
b- Google contacts (with phone numbers) and normal phone contacts appear on "Contacts"
c- Google contacts (with phone numbers) and normal phone contacts appear on "MVOIP application".
I know how to do

I have a vista machine that has about 400 gigs of music. we are a pc family so my media folders are shared via the wireless network. Is there an app/player that would allow me to browse my shared pc folders and playlist and allow me to stream this music and video? The closest I could find is an app called subsonic. Its not quite what im looking for. samsungs allshare is very basic. subsonic can be a bit complicated for folks that dont know how to set up port forwarding and static lan ip's and also, any apps that would let your phone control windows media player?
