I am trying to save my resume from a website that I emailed to myself. I downloaded it but I cannot figure out how to save it so that I can find it to put into an email for applications.

Using the stock email app on 4.1.2 (and before I realized there was an option to send a bcc to myself) I sent several emails through Rogers while set up using pop instead of IMAP. So right now I have a number of sent emails that aren't on the server.
I don't want to lose the messages, and while I have figured out that you can open the sent folder, and then individually open and save a copy of each email, I don't want to do that (and it doesn't save the attachments either). I thought maybe I could select them all and forward at once, or save at once, or move them to another folder to sync with the server...
I thought maybe K-9 would have an option I could use, but I can't figure out how to import the settings from the stock app.
There must be a way to do this besides the one-by-one saving?
I have a Nexus 7 tablet. After I "View" and then "Save" photos received as attachments from Gmail, the thumbnail icons appear in Gallery but I can't thereafter open them. When I go into Gallery and touch the photo thumbnail, all I get is a black screen. The file's thumbnail icon in the Gallery is a generic icon and not the usual small thumbnail of the photo itself.
How do I view photos downloaded or saved to the Gallery? I haven't changed any Settings which may or may not affect viewing.
I have a WebView, which will contain links to documents, in this case PDF files. The default action (at least on my device) seems to be to open the URL with the browser, which in turn causes them to be saved in the default download location.
I want to intercept this in my code, so that I can get hold of the file and save it to whatever location I choose. Is this possible?
I did a search and found something similar, however, the thread turned into a debate why attachments are bad.I emailed myself a jpg attachment and was able to download and view the pic. However, I do not know how to save the pic to use it as wallpaper.

But when I get emails with attachments I have to save the attachments on the phone then navigate to where they are saved to be able to view them. Is there a setting that can be changed or an app to download that will allow me to view the files without saving them to the SD card?

I receive a lot of work emails and it uses data unnecessarily when it downloads on my phone when I am at work. Ideal will be to only download when I change the setting. Don't want to turn of data completely because then all the other apps stop working too (WhatsApp, facebook etc.)

The reason is to be able to take a quick look to all af them, avoiding wasting time of downloading when some friend has just the happy idea of sending you a heavy power point, or the pictures from your last party, or just simple spam.
I must say that there's another not less important reason: I don't have a 3G flat rate.
Can someone give me a download link to the stock email apk as I have Cyanogen ROM and removed it. Or tell me how to add my own non-gmail email to the gmail app
View 2 Replies View RelatedI think the Droid's email system SUCKS. Unless you use G mail for all your email, it continuously downloads deleted emails, over and over and over.
PLEASE don't suggest I forward my mail to G mail, that just sends two years worth of emails to my G mail account. Wouldn't you think Moto could get email done as well as BB? NEVER had this problem on my BB.
My question is, has anyone used K-9 mail and will it solve my problem above in my rant? AKA will it only download NEW emails?
I tried to get my % down from 100% and changed some things, now my email won't download onto my phone. I think I hate my phone!

Whenever my wife emails me a picture of our dogs (no kids so these are our kids) it always comes through as "photo" so when I download it saves as that. Now if I don't go back into the picture viewer and rename it the next time i try to save a photo attachment it tries to overwrite the last one as its comes in as "photo". Is there any easier way of renaming these attachment without having to go into picture viewer and renaming the last one first? Basically I'm want to do a "save as"

Currently, I can only choose between 1 day or 3 days for downloading past e-mails on my active-sync account. This is really inconvenient since it is a work account and I would like to have access to 30 days worth of email. From what I've gathered, Phoneleash only emails the texts that have been sent/received after the app has been installed. I do like the organization of the texts, though. For Backup, I have gotten my texts backed up and saved to my SD card. When plugged into my pc, I've been able to open it up in XML format, but the texts are so hard to read, due to all the coding. Also, it doesn't organize the messages very well. It put all the texts I've sent together and all the other person's texts together. It would take a long time to get them organized correctly. So my question is, is there any app the works like SMS Backup, but organizes like PhoneLeash?how to make Backup organize the texts correctly?
View 1 Replies View RelatedI am planning on buying a new Android phone in place of my old ageing Samsung Galaxy S3 LTE. I'm choosing between the Nexus 5, HTC One (M7) and the Galaxy S4. One thing that is common to these phones are they both have Snapdragon processors.
My question is:
1. Is it wise or even practical to even install a battery-saving app for these phones? (as I heard such apps does work but also is a drain to the batteries themselves and resources/RAM)
2. What battery-saving app recommended? (I know I can easily search in Google or the Play store but there are just hundreds of them. I want to trickle it down to the "best of the best" or the "top one" out there currently?
Firstly and most irritating is the fact i cannot download apps off the android marketplace on wifi or 3G. I click download but the progress bar just remains on 'starting download,and secondly i can't connect email accounts properly my hotmail connects and doesn't pick up my emails and i can't even connect my googlemail.com address.

I tried to save a pdf attached to an e-mail, and was asked to choose btween Kindle and Quick Office and whether to make the choice permanent or one time. I mistakenly chose Kindle+permanent. Now the only way I can access the pdf is to go to the saved email and click the attachment. Then I get linked to Kindle which opens the pdf. Needless to say that is a lot of unnecessary selection. I tried to find the pdf file with File Manager but could not locate it. I tried to create a bookmark to the email, but could not do that either. So my questions are:
1. How do I undo the permanent choice of Kindle?
2. If I cannot do that, how do I create a link or shortcut or bookmark to the email so I can get to it quickly?
3. How do I find the folder to which the pdf was saved?
