I must say its works well and i got Gapps working,The only problem i have experienced so far with this rom is that the Camera still does not work, when the next build or update is coming out? the camera unit is rather crucial feature.

I wanted to make an Update of my Galaxy S I9001 with kies and during the update it remained blocked to'' Downloading ... no turn off traget'' I always waited more than 2 hours at 0% when I turned off and open and I have a PC and a telephone between there is a yellow triangle. so I tried (Vol + HOME + POWER) says its forces ramdump fashion update because then I did (flight + Power) nothing. I saw a lot of one person is a procedure with Odin I do not know how to do it

One week ago i bought my first smartphone, Samsung I9001, i had no ideea what to do with it, so when i connected it to my laptop via Kies it asked me if i want to upgrade my firmware. I did it and at 3% stoped working. So i searched the web for solutions, i found that Odin program, and i installed android 2.3.6. I was really happy that i solved the problem, but then i found out that my warranty could be lost because i rooted my phone, and it apears also in Menu-About Phone-Kernel Version. So now i dont know how to unroot it, and install an official firmware, and what version of the firmware do i need, to have my warranty back.

This is really ups setting seeing as how I my camera on a daily basis. And I really don't wanna go back to stock TouchWiz on my Galaxy S3. But if this problem persist I may have no other choice. But I LOVE CyanogenMod.
View 7 Replies View RelatedMy main problem with Cyanogenmod is that the default Touchwiz camera app is the best free camera app I have seen, and even more so for the video camera.
I tried taking the Camera .apk file, but I just get a message saying "application not installed" when I try to install it, and "there was a problem parsing the package" if I try to install it from /root.
Yes unknown whatever installs are allowed. And I've tried a hundred and seven different installer/file manager apps, but they all direct me to the same default installer.
Other apps I'd want to take are the calculator and video player.
My camera stopped working at the worst time just when I needed to take some pics at a dinner today. Has anyone encountered a "Camera Failed" message after opening the Camera application? I tried rebooting many times (at least 5-6 times) hoping it was a software glitch, but would not go away. I was testing the GPS navigation (using Google Maps) and my battery drained from 60% to 30% in 20 mins!! Does using navigation or low battery charge screw up the camera?I was sure it was a HW defect thinking I had to return the unit, but when I got home, and plugged into wall charger for a few minutes, I found that camera started working again.

View 6 Replies View RelatedI try to root my GS+ in recovery mode, but when chose "apply update from sd card" and after that selecting ROM zip file recovery mode says: Install /sdcard; Installation aborted and it happens with all ROMS. By the way im using default recovery mode (not ROM manager of something).
My firmware version is 2.3.6.
I installed few custom ROMs from xda I9001 devs but was not able to find the TV out functionality in any of those. Is there any custom ROM with TV out working propery.

I have heimdall install and i have downloaded the firmware i need (I437UCALI6_I437ATTALI6_ATT.zip)
I have also set my phone on download mode
When i open heimdall , i just assumed i need to select the md5 file within the firmware zip file, when i do that after the extraction, heimdall says that the file is missing firmeware.xml.

When I start it and press the home button to leave it running in background, it shows in Task Manager as active application, but sometimes it will shut itself down after few hours.
Is there a way to set applications to run always in background?
I have an issue with my i9001:
I installed CM9 (2 RCs) for a while but it was still buggy for me. Then I decided to go back to GB. Since I went back the wifi switches off immediately after switching it on. I switch it on. It starts scanning and it switches off again. The device does not connect to a wifi AP.
Currently it is running GIGABREAD+, but it did exactly the same with the original stock ROM which I saved on the SD card and installed again.
If I do a WiFi driver test (*#*#526#*#*) it states that the wireless driver loaded successful.
is it possible to unlock samsung galaxy s plus (i9001) by installing any of the moded firmwares/kernels?
View 1 Replies View RelatedYesterday i flashed the latest PAC-MAN ROM (http:[url]... on my SGS+. Then i wiped Cache and Dalvik Cache. I rebooted, and then came the problem: at the "Samsung Galaxy S Plus GT I9001 with cyanogen(mod)" screen. There it stucks, and after around 5 minutes it starts again rebooting and hangs at the same point. I am using CWM Recovery v6.0.1.0.

View 2 Replies View RelatedIt is my first time to run cyanogenmod on my phone. I have the Samsung Galaxy Exhibit 2 4G and I tried to install the CM 11 of jfbs. I did all the backups and I wiped the data and cache and installed the ROM and Gapps. But I rebooted my device and the Cyanogenmod logo appeared with the spinning arrow and it didn't want to stop spinning (or loading if you want). My phone was stuck on logo and the spinning arrow. I forced the phone to turn off and when I rebooted it I worked but after a little time it went back to the logo and the spinning arrow. I re-installed the ROM and Gapps but like before, the logo and the spinning arrow still there until now and it won't even stop and lead me to the lock screen.

Tablet didn't recognize it. (It thinks that front camera doesn't exist :X ) And the other problem is that rear camera doesn't work properly either. My phones camera had worked the other day. I'd messed with the settings and turned it to have a negative effect. Nothing wrong there.So, I went to go use the camera last night -both the camcorder and the normal camera- and... All I got was a black screen. I couldn't bring up a menu or anything. It was just black. The only way to do anything was to close it out by going back to the home screen. Any ideas?
View 5 Replies View RelatedDoes the front facing camera work for qik? and what about the pic quaality does it go all the way to 8mp, i take a lot of pics so is really important tome, any other feature that doesn't work that you guys think is important(4g, radio and hdmi), i would like to used 4g but don't mind too much and i'm running fresh 3.2.0.0 just looking for something fast and new to play, i have launcher pro+ so not problems with widgets, the only thing i might miss will be the dialer because stock android is just ugly and not functionality as HTC(and the keyboard too)
