im having a problem with my samsung galaxy s advance. Few weeks ago i spilled some pepsi over my phone. I dried it and everything was working fine. 3 days ago, my speaker stopped working. I reflashed my firmware and it worked for about 5 seconds and then it made cracking sound and would not work. I noticed that, if i suck air from the speaker with my mouth(sometimes i can just put my mouth over it) it would work for 5-30 seconds. But as soon as i remove my mouth it stops working.

It's came with android ice cream sandwich 4.0.1+rooted+unlock bootloader Working flawlessly until i installed task killer app.
I used it,and after several times i killed app,suddenly there is pop up notification came.("Unfortunately Launcher/Market/Gmail/Emulator,and many else has stopped")
I reboot the tablet,but when it turn on,it is just bootloop.I reset again,and it doesnt appear anything on the screen unless the black screen only (with sometime light flashing from the screen).
Then i flashed and format it to gingerbread (2.3.4) rom from their official web And yes,it is work and finally i can boot into home screen and do any else.
But after several time turning off and on,the problem came back again (bootloop and black screen) but somehow i manage to go to recovery mode and do factory reset+wipe data and cache,but it's useless.
I flashed it again with the same rom,and it's start working.And goes..after a while..the problem back again.
I choose to flash back to ice cream sandwich.When i turn on,then goes the same first problem at the begining ("Unfortunately Launcher/Market/Gmail/Emulator,and many else has stopped").
I reset again then new problem came out.

Rather than use that guide,i choose to flash to gingerbread rom.Then it's fine,until..you know,reboot the device and back again to bootloop.
Is it because the task killer app?Or it is hardware failure?or maybe there is some file that has been deleted/terminated?
Looks like my accelerometer is broken. I've checked the orientation flag and it is on. As a test tried compass and krazy Kart racing- both not working.
What I think happened is that I used the new Google maps today- and the phone got really hot. Suspect I've cooked it.
Battery pull as well as power off -no joy. Is a factory reset worth trying?
Brand new Samsung Galaxy S which I received in the post this morning. Every time I try to send a text, when I try to select the contact I wish to send the message to, the error message 'the process android.process.acore has stopped unexpectedly. Please try again' comes up. I called up Samsung and the woman who I spoke to was useless so please help me!

The problem is I can't find the menu where you can access the default selections. It's not in the same place it was on my N1.
There is a version of Launcher 2.1 which is available to donut and works on Galaxo 1.6.x. You can read about it here:

It is now available on the android market! Just search for adw, and install. As galax0 keeps the Launcher.apk in memory, you'll want to get rid of the Advanced Launcher and replace it with this one.
I used the following adb commands after installing from the market:
adb remount
adb shell
su
cp /system/app/Launcher.apk /system/app/Launcher.bak
reboot

Old instructions, in case you download a non-market zipped version:
Steps to install on Galaxy:
1) Make sure you have Galaxo 1.6.x. I used newest recovery, 4.6.2, although I doubt it matters.
2) Put the zip on the internal sdcard.
3) Reboot recovery
4) Perform a Nandroid Backup (very important!)
5) Perform the fix permissions operation.
6) Apply the zip you downloaded using the "apply any zip from SD" option.
7) Reboot.
Anyone else here using Docomo service in India? In the last week or so, my GPRS has been spotty. Actually, it's mostly not working at all, but will sometimes be up for an hour or so. In perhaps related news, I've also been receiving empty messages from 52236 via SMS.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI recently have started to experiencing the infamous 'Unfortunately, Email has stopped" error with my Samsung Galaxy Rugby Pro. The phone is using Jelly Bean 4.1.2 with Kernal 3.0.31-1371191. I have been able to use the native email application to check my email for easily the last year. However, last week, it has started to produce this issue. I am not sure what changed that has started to trigger it. I normally do not install updates, but as of a result of the error I have installed all updates to current to no avail. Allow me to explain what is happening and what I have done to attempt to resolve:
1. When I open email, I can see all my unread/read email for the various mail folders. When I attempt to open any individual email it hangs for a moment, then crashes with the above message.
2. When I attempt to compose an email it crashes with the above message.
3. When I attempt to add another account, after entering the email and password it crashes again with the above message.
Things I have done:
1. Restarted my phone
2. Force stopped email
3. I installed all the latest updates, even installed the 'at&t messaging' application.
4. I have since attempted to clear data and settings for email.
5. I additionally removed my accounts and attempted to re-add them. However, I am again greeted with the crash. So now I have even less functionality then I had previously.
I installed ADW.Launcher today on my Galaxy S, and have ended up with a black screen. I'd like to fix it without a factory reset, if possible.Galaxy S, Android 2.1, bought in Singapore, SingTel settings but bought it unlocked. Currently in Indonesia. (Can't look up Baseband Version, Kernel Version and Build Number on the phone now for obvious reasons.)A short while after installing ADW.Launcher, the Home button became unresponsive, and a minute or two later the phone restarted itself (the way it's done by itself a handful of times since I bought the phone - without going through the whole power down and power up sequences of sounds and graphics). Then I only had a black screen with date and time at the bottom, and the menu and back buttons lit up, and now I can't get the display back. It seems to start normally, with the logos and sounds, but just returns to that black screen with date and time.
I know something's going on inside because I can swipe to unlock the screen (giving me a purely black screen). If I then press and hold Home, I get the haptic vibration that normally goes with the "recently used" menu. But if I randomly tap all over the black screen, and try to use the menu and back buttons (guessing where the menu items are) I get no response, and no haptic vibration.Holding down the power button gives me the usual power menu - I can select "Power off," but it restarts. I've removed the battery a couple of times, waited and replaced it - but no change.
At first I thought it was related to my SIM card, as it did the self-restart thing yesterday about 20 min after I got a new SIM card. But doing a google search suggests that this problem is sometimes related to launchers. And I removed the SIM card and restarted (removing battery) and it didn't help.The closest I could find to an answer to this problem was in the Droid X forum: HELP! I uninstalled launcher pro, and now have a black screen! - The solution there was to do a factory reset. I'd really rather not do that, but may not have a choice.
I tried the new speed fix and suddenly all my apps stopped loading. so i rebooted, now it got stuck on galaxy s screen and wont turn on. after waiting i got a black screen and the buttons are lit up

Basically, when it happens, this error pops up when you turn your phone on, and the phone won't boot up. There's nothing you can do other than hard-reset, unfortunately, by switching it off, holding down both volume buttons, and then switching it on. You then select 'clear user data'. I am somewhat peeved, as it'll take me hours to get my phone set up again, but I'm happy it's alive again! And this time I'm going to make a backup.
View 9 Replies View RelatedIve had this micro sd card for at least 4 months. Its 32gb. I was using it on my galaxy s4 and it worked perfect. A week ago i got a galaxy note 3 and used it on my note 3 and worked perfect until yesterday every time i locked the screen, when i unlocked it it would say card was removed and like seconds later it sayd card inserted and installing. Then it would work. And everytime i lockd and unlockd the phone it would happen until it stopped working. I tryd putting the 32gb card on another phone and it didnt work. I tryd a different card on the note 3 and it worked. Only the 32gb stopped working. Ive restartd the phone. Took out the battery. Took out the sd card and put it in again and nothing worked. I tryd puttin the sd card on the computer and it doesnt even give me a signal that i inserted the card. Nothing happens. Oh and i forgot to say it stopped working and then after like 10 mins it came back working until the screen Got locked again and when i unlocked it then that was it, the card was gone and hasnt given any signal since then. Not even on the computer. I didnt download anything to the card or done anything that could of done this. It Just happend.

I clear dalvik and cache partition and fix permissions and it was fix.
I was running launcher and although it was clunky, it was fine then I went back to check something on the regular home app and I accidentally hit the default key when opening home now launcher wont launch. Where so I set the default back?
View 8 Replies View RelatedUp until last week, I was using my original samsung earphones and some Philips earphones in my phone to listen to music without a problem in nearly 18 months.
Then I bought some Adidas Sennheiser earphones and plugged them in and now I can't hear the vocals and the music sounds tinny. I then put my samsung ones back in and same problem, even though they were working perfectly fine up until last week. Now any headphones I put in are not working properly but they work in other peoples phones and in my pc. I don't want to have to get a new phone. There must be a reason why they worked one day then as soon as put in the Adidas ones something changed. I have checked all the settings on the phone, have looked at heaps of blogs on the net and here, tried the WD40 on a cotton tip, tried cleaning out the headphone jack, tried pushing the headphones in all the way, tried turning off, taking out battery, turning off and on while headphones were in.
Actually I am in deep trouble because of my Galaxy Note now days. It is having TW Launcher error. I am totally unable to use my phone. It keeps restarting itself after every 10 sec. Everybody is giving me advice to Hard Reset / Factory Reset to my device. But my Major problem is that I have some very very important (almost 900 pics) saved in its internal memory. These pics are very very important for me and I do not want to loose these pics at all.
I am unable to take backup because its does not recognised by my or any other Laptop due to it restarting issue. This is the reason why I am not giving my mobile to any technician because no one is giving me any guarantee about my data.
I have the HERO for about 3 weeks now. I have edited my launcher to look like a tablet for my s2 but i wanted to know how to hide the dock from the launcher or move the app drawer icon on top right or bottom right. View 4 Replies View RelatedAfter testing/installing the popular "GO Launcher EX" my sound is completely gone. Of course I uninstalled that GO Launcher EX asap but it didn't work.
My problems:
- No sound during music, media, alarm etc while the sound volume bars all are maxed
- Every few seconds or when I press something usually a weird "tik tik" sound, it feels like the sound hardware has died or something
- When playing music you hear very low sound like "ZzzZZzzZzzz" like the hardware is not working or sound is not coming out
I tried factory reset and other ROMS but all failed so far

I used ADW for a while, but when I am on ADW my notification bar get vanished. I dk how..so i switched to launcher pro. I had a random shut down once, so now I am thinking it because of Launcher pro.
Is there any launcher (other then default one) which can be problem free and have good interface? Or I should wait for the Latest and cleanest version of launcher pro (the developer is writing it from scratch)
