Ive arranged my pages as I like them, yet every day new apps that I havent downloaded just pop up on my homepage and I was wondering why this is?
Also I get a message every single time I try to move something that says "you can resize widgets and reposition widgets and shortcuts' etc etc. How do I remove this?
And one more question- how do I make the font in play books bigger?

I have a problem on my Asus ME301T tablet with the Play Books app (I'm running android 4.2). Regular text based books work just fine, however, comic books show as blank pages. Sometimes it will load a few pages if I rotate the screen a few times.
I've tried to reinstall the app and redownload the comics without luck. It works fine on my Samsung i9000 running android 4.3.
Is there anyway to make the Caller ID pics any bigger than what they are? I know you can make them clearer by using syncmypix but they are ridiculously small for this large of screen. Still love my SF though! Just one of the little things thats kind of annoying. Any help would be great if there is an app or a hack for this.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI was looking at the Captivate and the iphone4 in store today and when comparing the same web pages in full page view the text on the Captivate was much smaller than the iphone4, even though the iphone screen is smaller. Zoom just made everything bigger so it wasn't in full page anymore. Is there a way to make the text bigger while in full page view? On a side note, that iphone4 screen is super sharp for text and the whites were much whiter vs the blueish tint on the Captivate.

Missing apps: Google Play Movies and TV, Magazines, Ears, Books.
Now in the JB some apps come preinstalled. Unfortunately they don't show up in the drawer but when I try to reinstall them, I get the error message that the application already exists. When I go to system/apps, they are listed there. I have market-enabler installed with the market set to the US. I can see all categories and can install the apps through Google Play (browser) on the phone. But I still get the same error message.
Is there a way I can unhide them and use them?
I've created a separate layout for large screened phones. I need my ImageButtons to do one of two things.
*Stretch the images within them when I make the imageButton bigger. or
*Replace the images with larger versions based on the phones screen size (Note I say size not density)

Guys I find my self constantly hitting the period instead of the space bar and half of my texts/emails all have . laced all throughout them. Is there anyway to change the keyboard to where the space bar is bigger? I don't care about voice search so if I could get rid of that and make the space bar icon bigger that would be great.. is it possible?
I am coming from an iPhone where I could type like crazy quick on there. I can do the same on the Evo and love the bigger keys but for some reason the poisitioning of the space bar is killing me.
I have a Samsung Galaxy s3 and i am banging my head against the wall because Play store won't open or do anything when connected to my wifi. it is however functional when wifi is turned off and only mobile data is active. Things i've tried (and still not working)
1. Cleared cache and data for Play store, google services, download manager and download.
2. uninstalled updates
3. Have tried seeing if anything has disabled and it hasn't, the last app on my 'all' is you tube
4. reset my phone to factory settings.
I feel like a pleb as I had this problem when I first got the phone but the clearing cache and data worked then and was fine for weeks but now nothing seems to work.
where the Google Play edition of the Samsung Galaxy S4 isn't available via Google Play yet, but I was wondering, will it be possible in the future to switch from having the Android 4.2 system on my Samsung Galaxy S4, and switch to the Google Play software? I watched a comparison video and it looks and seems much better.

My S4 is the i9505 UK/international 4G/LTE model - using the Three UK network.
My samsung galaxy S3 is brand new and it wont download apps from the play store it gets to about 30% and then it stops everytime. if i connect to the wifi it works np, the wierd thing is it will let me update my apps on the mobile network but not download a new one. I have tried updating the phone, factory reset, stopping framework and removing google id and restarting the phone. I also tried putting my sim card in another Samsung Galaxy S3 but it still wouldn't download i then tried calling virgin and getting them to send me the apn details which i then installed but this was unsuccessful, so i went to the virgin store and they told me to get a new sim card, so i did but still it dosent work!!!

I re-downloaded the latest .apk for the play store, installed it, and when I open it, it crashes and says "unfortunately, google play store has stopped". I looked up tp see if there were any solutions, and many sources said to gp to settings>app. management>google play>force stop, clear data, clear cache. that didnt work. The droid Im finding is hard to text on. I have to text one handed (don't ask why..) so the phyical keypad does me no good. Is there a way to make the keys bigger on the touchscreen? I did 2300+ texts last month so I really need it to be easier to hit the keys. Also i find the words I've already texted are very small compared to the BB curve anyone have any thoughts on that. Every phone I've had in the past (Nokia, Sony, etc...) has always allowed me to hide my number so that the call display on the receiver's phone shows my call as 'private'. View 9 Replies View Relatedi have a samsung galaxy gio GT-S5660M Android version 2.3.4 build number GINGERBREAD.MUGKG3 (Stock rom gingerbread ) but it is rooted. ok so i was trying to free up some space on my internal memory and i was using titanium back up and i converted google play to a user app (it took too long so i assumed it didn't work) but i backup the google play. i was able to move it to sd card thought ,but then i still don't have enought free memory to receive text msg (20mb needed) so i did a factory reset which freed up everything. and i was still rooted ( i fixed it) but now google play won't open it gives me this message (process com,android,vending) so i downloaded a new com.android.vending but still won't work i tried the clear data it will open and i can search but whenever i try to download it will force close.
