View 2 RepliesTrying to root my moto droid, following all instructions in the "The All-new Guide to All Things Root-related" thread. However it seems I've found myself a problem that isn't described anywhere i can find. Upon opening RSD and rebooting into the bootloader my computer (Windows XP pro 32 bit) says that its found new hardware: "SE Flash OMAP3430 MI". I've already installed the provided 32 bit drivers for my droid, but it seems the bootloader itself requires its own set of drivers. Tried showing the found new hardware wizard where the droid drivers where located, would not accept them. Also tried the search the internet option, again no luck. Something's clearly amiss...

View 1 Replies View RelatedI have an HTC One X and for the last day or so, it has begun to reboot itself randomly and quite often. There is no specific time of use before it reboots. It's completely random. It can just be sitting there idle, and just all of a sudden reboot itself.
The battery is not dead or dying.
The phone is not overheating.
I have no updates available and my last update was a few months ago and it was fine up until the last day or two.
The phone is not rooted.
I'm now using galaxy y s5360. These days my phone keep rebooting itself after i connect the phone to pc by usb. I'm afraid it is because the v6 supercharge thing thats make that way.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI recently bought a HDC Legend S4 and wanted to root it and install CWM. After having it rooted, I used this toturial to install CWM: [URL] .....
The installation seemed to be succesful, after it was done it rebooted into CWM. Then, when I tried to boot into CWM from a power off state, I wasn't able to do that (Volume up button + power button).
When I choose 'Reboot into recovery' in ROM Manager, it just boots into CWM.It's a limitation of the method I used to install CWM?
The USB Debugging turns off itself after restarting the device. I think I experienced this problem after installing multi mount sd-card lite and ticking the Fix MTP option.
How can I fix it?
I followed the guide on this website to update my HTC One V to Android 4.2.1: URL.....
I did everything exactly as the website said but now my phone keeps rebooting!.If it is connected to the PC it keeps rebboting after the HTC logo and if it is not connected to PC it is simply stuck at the HTC logo screen -s13(dot)postimage(dot)org/6hy5sfs2f/IMG_20120530_193934_1(dot)jpg
I am so paranoid, this is the first time i've tried rooting or flashing a ROM,is there any way to stop this?
i am facing is that when i power on my mobile [Its HTM H10 MTK6572 running stock rom 4.2.2], Boot animation appears and just after that, lockscreen comes for a sec. and then again it reboots and same thing happens! I don't know what is the cause.
By the way, It is not rooted now as it was before. Before this happened, I only updated SuperSU and nothing. The worst thing is that i can't access settings from app drawer and usb debugging got disabled itself (yes, i had it enabled.). Good thing? I can access recovery mode (stock).
EDIT:- My friend told me that your device is soft-bricked.
What i did was using the temp cwm 6 I installed the motorox rom and JB theme, and it all worked fine but my status bar dissapeared, so i tried to do it again and it kept rebooting half way into the boot animation. So i flashed back the SBF from that thread and same thing happened.

I have big problems with this tablet because its not rebooting anymore. I have tried to instal a game from Gameloft and was freezing. I have restarted then... nothing. It appears just an Android logo, and nothing.
I have tested the recovery mode, i have pushed in the same time VolumeUp + Power On, VolumeDown + Power On, VolumeUp + VolumeDown + Power Off or just PowerOff but nothing happens. I can not enter in recovery mode.
Also, i installed SDK and tried to recovery with abd. Not working. it showsme that i have no device attached. I've installed all the parts of sdk, including google usb driver but my tablet its not recognised by SDK.
I tried to Reboot to recovery in this mode: with the device off, press the Vol - and Power button together until it enters recovery. Nothing happens. If i push only the power button, it appears Android logo. If i push only Volume-, appears nothing. If i push Volume-, then after 2 seconds Power... nothing appears, even if i keep pressed for 10 seconds or 30 minutes...
If i press the power button, Android logo dissapear and the screen goes blank, but if i let the tablet on the table the place is continue heating. The plastic back of the tablet is heated, even after 20 minutes I shutted down. Is there any way to completely remove the battery, to be sure that the tablet is OFF?

View 9 Replies View RelatedAll of today my Samsung Galaxy Discover wouldn't turn on. Nothing. Black screen, no lights, no sounds, no vibrations - nothing. I left it all of today to see if it would get any better, but it didn't, so I took the battery out and put it back in. Now it keeps rebooting itself over and over again, and every time it boots to "Android System Recovery <3e>". I've tried a few of the options but nothing is working, it just keeps booting over and over again to that screen. How do I get it to boot to my actual phone, normally?

P.S: I am noob in these stuffs
my Android phone (LG P970). The story is the phone is working as much as I can call and text but the system is not stable. It's freezing a lot and then it's trying to reboot but after every rebooting my phone freeze on LG logo... the only way to run it again is taking out the battery and then system is starting ok but it's loading with all settings and data from few days ago... I have try to flash it with Smartflash tool... whole process whas without any error then phone rebooted automaticly and I find out that after rebooting my p970 sterted with the same old and notstable rom with all the call list and messeges from few days ago.. then I tryed to do the emergency recovery of my phone with LG software. Application asked me to type the model and S/N of my phone so I did that and again the whole process of recovery was ok (with no errors)... Then the phone rebooted on the end which is normal and again started with no effect of recovery.. it was the same ZEUS 7 rom, not stable and with all the data and settings from few days ago... I decided to use Titanium Backup to uninstall all the apps and I was trying to instal ROM MANAGER and run the recovery mode but in the middle of my work the phone freez again and then rebooted and then again freeze on LG logo... I took out the battery and again turned it on and when the system was loaded I find out that all the programs which I have deleted with TITANIUM BACKUP was restored somehow... EVERY time I try to restart in normal mode, reboot in recovery mode or even after flashing system is restarting automaticaly, it freeze on LG logo and the only way to run it again is to take out this battery... then system restoring all data and settings for some reason. maybe some of you know whot software i should use to do the FULL WIPE and get rid of the old borken system?

I'm quite worried I soft bricked my phone. I am new to a rooted android device. I am more used to an unlocked windows mobile. Here is what I did...
I rooted my handset using blackwofls guide, it worked perfectly. I then installed adfree android from the market, it also worked perfectly. After that, I went and got font installer, it installed like any other app, opened fine. I chose a font I wanted to use, previewed it, and installed it.
It had prompted me to reboot for the font to take effect. After rebooting my phone will no longer go past the AT&T splash screen. I am very worried since I do not know how to fix it, I don't have a backup of my ICS of any sort. I can however get into ODIN and the recovery mode of clockwork.
I reset my cache and data numerous times, and i did a factory reset, It just sits at the splash screen and vibrates often.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI have LK bootloader source code which I need to build and flash to a Nexus 5 device.
* I got the source code from the Code Aurora website
* I made a guess which branch is the stable branch I need, because I found no mention of it anywhere (I took "kk_2.7-stable", where kk means kitkat)
* On a Debian 7 stable machine, I installed a GCC cross compiler from Deb packages built using Emdebian tools
* I made a guess which target to compile, because the exact chip name didn't have its own: I use msm8960
* I created some symlinks to the cross-building tools because the makefile and the debian cross-building tool names are different
* I ran 'make msm8960' and the build was successful (I also tried earlier with NDK prebuilt GCC but it failed)
* I got a bunch of files with no idea what to do with them
* I attached the device to the computer and re-flashed the stock bootloader to make sure it works
* I checked the fastboot screen: Bootloader unlocked, secure boot is on
* I tried flashing the 'lk' binary file I got from the build process, but fastboot says:
sending 'bootloader' (1702 KB)...
OKAY [ 0.239s]
writing 'bootloader'...
FAILED (remote: invalid bootloader image
)
The size of the file is much smaller than the size of the stock bootloader, but I don't know if it matters or what exactly I need to flash. I did a lot of web search, including here on XDA, but found no evidence of struggling with flashing the bootloader.
How do I flash the bootloader after I build it?
My Lava Mtab MG7 has become locked due to too many wrong pattern attempts. I can't log into the Google account to unlock it. I wanted to enter recovery mode to wipe data (hard reset). But I don't know the combination of key presses to enter the bootloader. I have tried the following:
1. Vol Up + Power
2. Vol Down + Power
3. Vol Up + Vol Down + Power
I've been following the instructions on the HTCdev website for unlocking the bootloader on my HTC sensation XE. Ive made it to the last step and acquired the unlock code from HTC. I then copied that to my computer and followed the last step "fastboot flash unlocktoken Unlock_code.bin" but I get an error message in the CMD promt "remote: unlock token check failed"
I have made sure that the .bin file is in the correct directory (c:Android).I have USB debugging enabled and fastboot disabled.
i want to know if it's possible to root an Android without unlocking the bootloader. My problem is I don't want anything wiped off the phone. I'm trying to get past the lock screen, because I found this phone in the street, so I want to get the numbers in it to try and return it. I've heard you can bypass the lockscreen if it's rooted. It's a Samsung Galaxy S Mesmerize, (or Fascinate).
