General :: Placing Image Inside UCCW - Size Beyond Limits
Nov 21, 2012When I'm trying to place an image inside the UCCW using as a background or something, it says : "Image beyond limits width *height <=160000"
Why can't I place an image?

When I'm trying to place an image inside the UCCW using as a background or something, it says : "Image beyond limits width *height <=160000"
Why can't I place an image?
Im trying to place an image and some text in my view, with the image being twice the height of the text so that the two rows of text can be placed next to the image, like so:
_____
| |text here
|_____|text here
The way i try to do this is to put the two TextViews in a LinearLayout, then place the ImageView and the LinearLayout, containing the text, in a TableLayout with one row and two columns.
When i do this i only se the ImageView. In fact, even when i comment out the adding of the ImageView to the table the text inside the LinearLayout wont show up at all.

Is there anyway to increase mms message size? On my old TP2 I had my limit set at 5mb and I didn't have an issue Sprint to Sprint, only sometimes with Verizon. With the evo, and recorder set on minimum resolution I can't even send a 10 second clip!I've tried handset which only gets me up to 1.2mb. I need it at 3 at the very least.
View 3 Replies View Related1) Our Android app will store data in a built-in SQLite DB. I see the DB can throw android.database.sqlite.SQLiteFullException, but there's no exact info in API what is the limit. Could anyone tell what are the size limits for a DB in order not to get into the SQLiteFullException? I assume DB will store data in device's internal storage (versus SDCard). Am I right? Given SQLite DB is just a file, probably the DB size is limited with free internal storage space. Again - Am I right? If yes, then what is the internal storage size on Android? How to detect it? Does it vary on a device model basis or OS version basis? 2) We'll also need to save app settings. I think SharedPreferences will fit nicely. However the question is - are SharedPreferences saved to the internal storage too? If yes, then is it the same storage where the DB stores its file.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI have an ImageView which I want to always be the same size. If the image is smaller than the view, I'd like it to be centred in the view. If the Image is larger than the view then I'd like it scaled down - with aspect ratio preserved.I've had several attempts at this myself
View 2 Replies View RelatedSo I'm loading images from a web service, but the size of the images are sometimes smaller or bigger than other images and the visualization looks silly when I put them in a ListView in android. I'd like to fix the size of my ImageView so that it only shows a portion of the image if it's larger than a preset amount. I've tried everything I can think of setting the setMaxWidth/setMaxHeight, setting the scale type to centerCrop, using ClipableDrawable wrapping my BitmapDrawable, setting using Drawable.setBounds(). I've tried setting in the XML and programmatically, but neither worked. I'm very surprised setting max width/height didn't do anything. Below is the XML I'm using ImageView definition in my layout file

View 2 Replies View RelatedI have my photo settings reset to factory settings, I did this because after I transfer my images to my computer, they are only full thumbnail size. I have selected on the camera the 16M setting, so as I understand that should be pretty big right? (bare with me, I am not by any means a photog) so I am assuming some where in the camera I must have changed a setting that changes the maximum image size for transfer? I am so lost and confused, I just want nice pics of my kids.
View 1 Replies View RelatedWhen I was on stock Xperia Gingerbread 2.3.4 on my ST17i, the average image file size I take is only playing around 300 to 600kb each However, after flashing the MiniCMSandwich Lite AOSP rom, the file sizes have been bumped to an average of 1.3mb. I want to know why? As far as I know, on both stock and MiniCMSandwich, I've set the resolution to the highest (5 megapixels).
Is it a matter of the camera apps? (Xperia camera and stock camera).how big your average file sizes are for 5mp of images.
I want to display images inside single select when it appears inside dialog. How can I do it?

Kernel - kappa
I have been using UCCW for a long time now and i cant get it to update the weather when i want... I have manually set my location and each time i want the weather to update i have to go in settings, choose auto-location, then set location manually again, then press back and now it updates.
I'm running Omega v40 with stock kernel and have tried with other roms aswell.
setting up UCCW so how the widgets created should be inside the UCCW directory..some of the new clocks, battery bars, etc. I downloaded come with just a "UZIP" file, some come with a UZIP file & an image and some come with a whole directory that has weather images, fonts, etc. inside.
In the posts & threads I found previously that didn't really explain how to set up the new widgets, they just said "put everything inside the UCCWoutput folder"....
now, if one widget I download unzips to a folder with all that widgets' contents inside should I just put that folder inside the UCCWoutput folder?or do the fonts go into the "fonts" folder on the SD card and everything else go into the UCCWoutput folder?
right now I have almost everything placed in the UCCWoutput folder...no folder for images or files or font or separate folders for separate widgets....and only a few of the widgets show up when I try to add one to my screens...I thought maybe that each widget should have it's own folder but from what I read in previous posts I found the explanations were pretty vague...."put so-and-so inside the UCCWoutput folder"....that doesn't explain anything really since some widgets have 1 file and some have a UZIP file, a font file and a bunch of images...
I have search all over xda for a tutorial but havent succeed to find 1....

View 2 Replies View RelatedRecently I been tweaking my phone (theming it) but I'm stuck on adding a widget by long pressing/add widget but then the UCCW weren't there to be selected.
I'm currently on Android Gingerbread 2.3.6 with Holo Launcher, then tried multiple Launcher e.g ADW, GoLauncher, SSLauncher but none of them shows the UCCW Widget. I've wasted the whole day trying to find a solution but I give up and ask the good people here instead.

When device is in sleep and I switch it back on, the widget is still 'stuck' behind time and doesn't get updated for a few seconds. Anything I am doing wrong? I am using Nova Prime launcher. I first noticed the problem when I hid the notification bar via Nova settings. I had since enabled the notification bar but the problem still persists.

I have a widget layout xml which sets the src to the delivered android widget 4x1 frame image. Here is the widget layout code...
@drawable/widgetinitial holds the widgetinitial.png image example 4x1 at developer.android.com (AppWidget design guidelines).(4x1_Widget_Frame_Portrait.psd) What I am trying to do is display an image inside the delivered frame instead what happens is the frame image goes away and only the image I am trying to display shows up. How can I display the image inside the bounding box or the background?
Another question - I think I saw in a couple of forums AbsoluteLayout is a deprecated feature for Android 2.1 and above. Is that correct? and does using AbsoluteLayout throws any force close or other exceptions?
I just upgraded to an LG G2 (VZW edition) and I really want to customize my homescreen with the UCCW widget app. But every time I try to import a uzip file into UCCW, it just displays a while box the same size as the grid width/height... What am I doing wrong or is this a simple bug?
View 1 Replies View RelatedMy problem is that when one makes a hotspot, every time one presses it, it flashes for a moment in blue (maybe other colours as well, just for the widget I am doing at the moment it is blue), to indicate the act of clicking on it. This is ok for small hotspots, however for something relatively large it looks rather weird. Is it possible in any way to turn off this flashing.
View 2 Replies View RelatedWhen I would get an MMS slideshow on my Blackberry, it would auto-play and I could view it no problem. When I get an MMS slideshow on the Eris it shows up as a text message with an attachment and each slide is a separate image inside that attachment and I have to click on the initial attachment then I see a list of all of the images and I have to click on each one individually to see it, then back out of that image and rinse and repeat. Is there anyway to get this to work right?

I have tried everything and I can't seem to be able to get Month or Day of Month to align vertically as shown in the picture below.
Is this even possible? I know it is using the Week Bar, but I'm not so sure about the others. I can't figure out where the option is to make anything else besides the Week Bar go vertical like someone did in the picture below. Is this picture just a fake or what?
