I have followed a tutorial to install a custom ROM (bootloader locked) on my Sony Xperia Arc S, the last Jelly Dream ROM.
But at the end of the operation, after the reboot, the smartphone gets stuck on the sony logo.

Yesterday (08/08/10) my X10 said there was a new update available and to download correctly I needed to connect it to a computer update through PC Companion 2.0. I did this and followed all the on screen instructions correctly. I got to the final stage and it asked me to disconnect the phone switch it off remove the battery, reinsert and then turn it back on again. The instructions said it may take awhile for the phone to come back on again because the phone will be updating. So far my phone has not come back on again after 24 hours of waiting, all that happens is the sony ericsson logo is displayed for about 10 seconds and then the phone turns off then the same process is repeated. Any ideas whats happened or what I can do to fix this or will it be a job for Sony? I have emailed them but of course they were absolutly no help what so ever.

View 6 Replies View RelatedI recently tried to flash packman rom onto my Sony Xperia Z I went through the steps of rooting and installing CWM that all went well until i noticed that I could not access recovery mode so I decided to download an app to do it for me and it worked fine so when I got round to installing the rom it came up with an error message so i thought o well it must have not flashed it so i decided to restart my phone but now it wont get past the sony logo and i cant access recovery or flashmode

yesterday, I flashed Modaco Switch for HTC One when my battery is low (20%). Now it wont let me pass the "HTC quietly brilliant" screen. I've searched the solution for hours and still, no luck on finding it out. But I see some thread that suggest me to download a new rom and put it in my SD Card, but I cant even pass the HTC boot up screen. Btw, I've relocked and unrooted my device.

I have rooted it and installed rom manager. when i have changed some setting by using rom tool box (I do not remember what i did. This i did only for curiosity). My phone did not start, only show big green android logo. I can enter recovery mode and also FTM mode.
recently bought xolo a800 phone ... was experimenting with it and bricked it the next day.....the phone is stuck on the xolo logo at start and its not booting into os.. the phone is soft bricked according to me

i know an add away can block in app advertisements but will it also block my browsers ads. In pc we can easily use adb add-on for chrome but what about android?

View 6 Replies View RelatedI have a Garmin-Asus A10 that i wanted to change its font using Type Fresh app. When the font changed the app required a reboot,, but when the phone rebooted it became unable to boot after the garmin-asus logo anymore !!
I tried a hard reset using the volume keys pressed with the power button but it displays "**WIPE USERDATA**" on the top left corner and nothing happened.There is an option to hold the volume up key with the power button that displays " USB POLLING MODE " in a blue screen.
My phone now is not able to boot properly and freezes on the startup logo.
i tired updating my galaxy s2 i9100g with ics (wasnt aware that its not supported) with odin and it showd me fail and now i am unable to switch it on it just shows phon and yellow triangle and computer logo when i connect it ot pc odin recognizes but kies not can sum1?is it bricked ?

Is there a way to block or remove built in applications on an android phone. I want to limit what you can do on the phone e.g. only call, text, email and use one or two third party applications. Is it possible to do that without rooting the phone?
Looking to do this on a Samsung Galaxy Pocket.
I need help with two things. Firstly, i'v lost my Sony ericcson logo that should go in the middle of the screen on the homepage (I don't want to use timescape; I don't like it) so i'd like to know how to get that back. Secondly iv somehow managed to change my keyboard into Japanese or Chinese (or some language with symbols) Iv still got letters but my smiley faces have turned all weird on me and the keyboard has shifted slightly to the left and I keep putting commas instead of using the space bar - very annoying.
View 1 Replies View RelatedMy phone looks like a tiny brick now. I can't reset it, I can't upgrade/fix/repair because it's stuck at the SE logo. It happened after internet browsing I've been prompted to forcefully close the browser, then later on it wants me to close the SE home app, then finally it's reset and I can only see until the SE logo.
I tried removing the battery for more than 10 secs, pluggin the usb cable while pressing back - still can't connect to pc. I tried holding down power+home, nothing.
Is there a hard reset button somewhere I can use? I'd rather reset everything with all my data than send it over to SE support since that means it'll take weeks with no phone.

it wont connect to my laptop - cause it loops and since it does that, I cannot use odin.

View 8 Replies View Related had my evo on charge and went to sleep with remote pc running, when I woke up it was really hot and kept restarting at the 4G animation. I mean, it was seriously on repeat, says 4g, then starts over again, then sprint 4g and restart. I can't get it to boot. I've tried booting with the usb connected, sd card in and out, everything. Nothing works. I even went to the recovery like I was doing an update to get it to at least reflash the firmware or something and it fails. Keep in mind, I updated a couple weeks ago with the newest EVO software manually (the one without the fps cap), so the file should still be on the SD card exactly how it was when I updated the software last.
This is what it gives me:

I was rebooting my phone today and it every time I try it gets stuck on The Galaxy S logo with the big flashing "S" on the screen. It acts like it is going to boot up but just after the ATT screen and the boot sound it gets stuck. I did the one-click-lag-fix about 2 weeks ago and the phone has been running smooth ever since. My wife and daughter are on the road so not having a phone really stinks right now.
