View 2 Replies View RelatedI encountered this problem on a Pantech Burst, P9070 also known as Presto. The problem persists regardless of ROM; it shows up in both CM10 and stock ICS.
Symptoms?
-Youtube Videos show up as stills. "There was a problem while playing. Touch to retry."
-Music, whether played from SD or streamed, elicits a "playback error" bubble. Length of music isn't displayed.
-Movies, played from SD, cause a "cannot play this video" error.
-Calls connect, and the other line can hear me speak, but I can't hear them.
-No ring tones, notification sounds, nothing, even with volume turned up.
Is there a way to increase the clarity and volume of voice during calls?
Pantech Burst with stock firmware ICS. Will installing CM10 fix it?
Using a MP3 voice recording app, it isn't bad. But during calls, the voice that's transferred over is terrible quality, static-y, and half the volume of a normal phone recording.
I have chinese phablet mtk8389 hd89 dual sim, 1gb ram, gps,quadcore, wifi,bluetooth,and microusb port problem is that if i connect it to any otg or usb cable to connect with computer it dont show any response but just start charging then i find oht a solution that i need to fix a file insode android system/etc/permissions name of file android usb host .xml i go to file and add the file but actually file not get added even i cannot edit any system file because i dont have permission then i find out that for doing that i need to root the device but how stupid is that if i dont have usb host mode active how i can onnect my device with computer for root?
It does not connect even dont show in computer that some usb device ger connected its very complicated, how i can enable usb host mode with out root device and if i have to root the device how i can root with out usb mode not working because with out usb host me the device will not be connected . i think my device is not rooted but i have acces to android all system files but i am unable to edit any file like it have write protected .
Tablet says it needs OTP cable. I have one, and it works OK with Ainol tablet. But Lenovo S6000 only applies power to it, and then nothing else happens: it sees no flash stick. What can it be? And how to get it working?
View 3 Replies View RelatedI have Pantech Flex P8010. I was rooted on ICS 4.0.4 and then I installed Jelly Bean Update by restoring rooted backup of Jelly Bean 4.1.2 uploaded by Zapper_Master.
After Jelly Bean I got smooth working phone. But, as other I had same issue of Wifi not working and automatic 2x Reboots after atleast gap of 6-7 hours. (I was knowing it before I installed update as others who updated by restoring zip also faced same issue. But, It was ok for me as I like Jelly Bean the most.)
But, there was way to enable native wifi tethering on this lovely phone on ICS. [URL] ......
And I followed same steps (After Installing SQLite Editor, I just backed up database & changed value from settings.db secure table on actual database.)
Line 1. softap_free_supported
Line 2. softap_entitlement_interval
Change Line 1′s value to 1 in the SQL editor. Change Line 2′s value to 0 in the SQL editor save and close or just close depending on the editor.
SUPPER IMPORTANT if the file permissions on settings.db are not rw-rw-rw make them so in your file explorer.
There was a risk of bricking phone as there is no recovery available for Jelly Bean.
I just wanted to let others know that above method also works on Jelly Bean. But, USE AT YOUR OWN RISK! I will not be responsible if anything goes wrong & you brick your lovely flex.
I recently got a chinese tablet that runs a direct port of the original android version, which im almost certain dosent support USB Host, howeve the tablet has A USB host port. I am curious if theres an app out there that supports USB host for keyboards and/or Flash drives. I like the idea of just plugging in my flash drives and viewing/editing my files on the go when I dont have my computer with me.

QUESTION: How do I enable Airplane Mode "permanently" so that a child cannot disable this mode?
EXPLANATION: I have several android devices (Droid Xs, specifically) that have clean ESNs and are not currently being used on any carrier. I also have children (5,3,1).
I've SBF'd, rooted, and removed all unnecessary APKs, leaving only a few educational apps and games for the children to use. And, yes, I enable Airplane Mode. They love having their own little "mini" tablets and being able to be like the grown-ups.
Unfortunately, the oldest has a knack for pushing all sorts of buttons and inadvertently turning the phone's radio back on. I know that I have not associated the ESN with any carrier; however, as I'm sure most of you know, when you dial a number with a non-subscribed number, it still asks you if you want to make the call and charge it to a credit card - at least, this is what the phone did the last time this happened.
So, bottom line, I want to disable my child's access to any carrier's cellular and data networks. And I want to be the only one that could possible re-enable that access.
If there was some way to enable Airplane Mode "permanently" and remove access to all toggles, settings that could disable Airplane Mode, then this would ease my mind. Obviously, I would want this condition to exist only until I either reflashed the phone or had to do something very convoluted (perhaps editing some setting manually via command line or ADB?).

View 1 Replies View RelatedI just bought this phone three weeks ago and It was working well .. then I tried an App (pimp my rom) and I forgot to enable Usb Debugging mode so I restarted phone then Found a message ( Unfortunately, Launcher has stopped ) and when I press ok it shows again .. I can only switch on/off wifi bluetooth GPS and those stuff on Notification bar but I cant enable Usb debugging mode because settings crash with ( Unfortunately, Settings has stopped ) No menu No home screen .. only those messages with a useless notification bar I tried everything possible to recover this phone but failed because The computer cant define the device because of the Debugging mode and when I try to flash a rom by recovery mod it tells me signature failed Is there anything I can do for this phone? or its over?

I know it works on motorola phone with magnets. I've been using Custom Car Home and it's supposed to take over the Home button when you're in a car dock, but doesn't work on the Incredible since we don't have fancy magnetic docks. From what I read until now there is a SCREEN_BRIGHTNESS_MODE in Settings.System but only for API level 8 or higher and also not recommended to mess wit it. After that i flashed it with new version of MIUI 3.6, after installing new version of MIUI, i noticed my phone is running very slow, also not detecting the SIM card but next day it stopped to charging. Now then onward my phone is off.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI'm trying to develop an OC'd kernel for Pantech vega racer 2 phone. It has the same hardware as HTC Evita.
I was able to overckock it using zarboz' and rohan's work. But the frequence is drops down to stock 1.5 Ghz while the processor is on max load.
For example, I started SetCPU stress test and after few minutes checked max freq. It was dropped down to stock 1.5 Ghz.
The same with Antutu bench. Even with OCing up to 2 Ghz in final resulst it show 1512 Mhz and freqs are dropped down.
Due to the lack of development for this phone, I can't find any examples of OC code especially for this phone.
I have a Pantech sky LTE A800s android phone. Recently, I've having this random lost of touch sensitivity!!! After having this problem for a few weeks, My phone suddenly lost its touch sensitivity completely. I had it rooted and it's running on a Vietnamese custom ROM then recently updated it to the latest Jelly-bean with the stock ROM and root-removed. And, this problem only happen in the lock screen. If I've got through the lock screen(If the sensitivity works), everything works fine. Also, all the hard keys work fine throughout this problem.
I've tried to install different ROMs and factory reset several times but nothing worked. I brought it to te store where I bought it the other day and they told me that this can be fixed but it'd cost more than a new one.
