Apr 15, 2013I encountered this problem on a Pantech Burst, P9070 also known as Presto. The problem persists regardless of ROM; it shows up in both CM10 and stock ICS.
Symptoms?
-Youtube Videos show up as stills. "There was a problem while playing. Touch to retry."
-Music, whether played from SD or streamed, elicits a "playback error" bubble. Length of music isn't displayed.
-Movies, played from SD, cause a "cannot play this video" error.
-Calls connect, and the other line can hear me speak, but I can't hear them.
-No ring tones, notification sounds, nothing, even with volume turned up.

After that i flashed it with new version of MIUI 3.6, after installing new version of MIUI, i noticed my phone is running very slow, also not detecting the SIM card but next day it stopped to charging. Now then onward my phone is off.

Using a MP3 voice recording app, it isn't bad. But during calls, the voice that's transferred over is terrible quality, static-y, and half the volume of a normal phone recording.

General :: Develop OC'd Kernel For Pantech Vega Racer 2 Phone
Jan 7, 2013I'm trying to develop an OC'd kernel for Pantech vega racer 2 phone. It has the same hardware as HTC Evita.
I was able to overckock it using zarboz' and rohan's work. But the frequence is drops down to stock 1.5 Ghz while the processor is on max load.
For example, I started SetCPU stress test and after few minutes checked max freq. It was dropped down to stock 1.5 Ghz.
The same with Antutu bench. Even with OCing up to 2 Ghz in final resulst it show 1512 Mhz and freqs are dropped down.
Due to the lack of development for this phone, I can't find any examples of OC code especially for this phone.
General :: Pantech Sky LTE A800s Lost Touch Sensitivity Completely
Mar 27, 2014I have a Pantech sky LTE A800s android phone. Recently, I've having this random lost of touch sensitivity!!! After having this problem for a few weeks, My phone suddenly lost its touch sensitivity completely. I had it rooted and it's running on a Vietnamese custom ROM then recently updated it to the latest Jelly-bean with the stock ROM and root-removed. And, this problem only happen in the lock screen. If I've got through the lock screen(If the sensitivity works), everything works fine. Also, all the hard keys work fine throughout this problem.
I've tried to install different ROMs and factory reset several times but nothing worked. I brought it to te store where I bought it the other day and they told me that this can be fixed but it'd cost more than a new one.

General :: Pantech Discover P9090 - Unable To Factory Reset (Encrypted)
Apr 2, 2014I have a Rooted Pantech Discover P9090 with ClockworkMod 6.0.2.8 recovery from Here. After which I proceeded to test out the phones "secure" (encryption) features. Now that the phone is encrypted, however, I cannot remove the encryption because I can not perform a factory reset. When attempting a factory reset from within the UI the phones attempts to reset as normal but at the point where the phone turns off and comes back with the android screen and a loading bar at the bottom the phone restarts. Doing a factory reset from the recovery fails do to not being able to load /data, /system /sdcard. Is there anything else I can try/do?

Jun 25, 2013I have a Pantech Flex P8010. I never thought it would be updated to jb. So I rooted it. Removed all bloated applications from it. Changed the recovery to CWM. I haven't taken any back up before the bloat removal. All I have is the cwm backup of the debloated version.
Now Pantech have released the jb ota. Is there any way to update the phone to jb with the root privilege? Is there any way to return to complete stock? Will the recovery and boot loader image available in the forums be useful?

Aug 9, 2013I have Pantech Flex P8010. I was rooted on ICS 4.0.4 and then I installed Jelly Bean Update by restoring rooted backup of Jelly Bean 4.1.2 uploaded by Zapper_Master.
After Jelly Bean I got smooth working phone. But, as other I had same issue of Wifi not working and automatic 2x Reboots after atleast gap of 6-7 hours. (I was knowing it before I installed update as others who updated by restoring zip also faced same issue. But, It was ok for me as I like Jelly Bean the most.)
But, there was way to enable native wifi tethering on this lovely phone on ICS. [URL] ......
And I followed same steps (After Installing SQLite Editor, I just backed up database & changed value from settings.db secure table on actual database.)
Line 1. softap_free_supported
Line 2. softap_entitlement_interval
Change Line 1′s value to 1 in the SQL editor. Change Line 2′s value to 0 in the SQL editor save and close or just close depending on the editor.
SUPPER IMPORTANT if the file permissions on settings.db are not rw-rw-rw make them so in your file explorer.
There was a risk of bricking phone as there is no recovery available for Jelly Bean.
I just wanted to let others know that above method also works on Jelly Bean. But, USE AT YOUR OWN RISK! I will not be responsible if anything goes wrong & you brick your lovely flex.

On my Xperia, I've got "Phone contacts", and gmail contacts. I tried to import all my phone contacts by first exporting them to a simgle file, and transferring that file to the Samsung. And now I've got this vast list containing, it seems, everybody who I've ever called or emailed, including various names who I don't recognize at all. I looked up her Google Contacts [URL] and there is no "Starred in Android" group, as it should be. I think it should be automatically created when she fovorites a contac in her phone. But instead, it deletes the starring of the contacts in the phone each time it syncs.

Apr 16, 2012I don't want my contacts to be synced with Google. IIRC, this was possible in 2.x. Having upgraded to 4.0.4, I'm not able to disable Google contacts.
I'd like to:
1. Disable contact sync (this works)
2. Change all contacts from Google contacts to phone contacts
3. Add new contacts as phone contacts by default.
Using the "Accounts and Sync" settings, I'm only able to deselect "Sync Contacts", but I can't find a way to move the contacts and disable the creation of new Google contacts.

Oct 18, 2012My Facebook contacts are merging with my ICS "People" address book and Google contacts. I don't want this.
I opened the FB app from my Rezound (ICS) and looked at the settings. The "Sync Contacts" option is set to "Don't sync"
Then I looked in the Android Settings --->Accounts&sync--->facebook where there are three boxes, sync calendar, sync contacts, and sync live feed. I made sure all those boxes are unchecked.
I figured I'd just try deleting FB from my Rezound but it seems to be undeletable if that's a word. It's like standard bloatware that I actually use on occasion.
So why are my FB contacts still merged with my Google contacts? I am seeing my contacts with their FB photo and this drives me crazy. I don't want FB communicating with my address book. Gingerbread didn't do this.

I have a Droid 3. My Accounts include my main Gmail acct, a gmail acct I hardly ever use (no contacts issues there), a pop3 account and a Touchdown-Exchange account which I dont need because Im not connected to that Exchange server any longer. Some time ago, since I wasnt on the Exchange server any more, I deleted the Touchdown account. Then I realized some or most of my Google contacts had disappeared from the phone. Thinking that this would delete the same contacts from the Gmail servers when it synced, I immediately restored the Touchdown account, restoring the lost contacts to the phone. Are these 2 issues related?
