i recently migrate from iphone to note 3 ,i have a question is there i sound notification on note 3 when you send an email. i see notifications when it comes a new email but not when you send one.

My wife sent an email to her work email. It did not arrive and now she keeps getting a "unable to send mail (hotmail)" notification. And it wont stop. She gets the notification every 5 min or so. I deleted the outgoing message but that didn't fix it. I turned notifications off and then then on and that didn't fix it.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI have a note 3, and when i try to send pictures (.jpeg) through the stock messaging app, it says "select different media" and will not allow me to send it. if i choose hangouts to send the same picture, it will send. however, a friend of mine using a droid x2 ALWAYS says he doesn't get the pictures. he only gets a blank message. when i try sending the same picture through hangouts to my girlfriends S4, a preview of the picture will show on the conversation list of hangouts, but when you open the conversation, the picture does not show and it is also a blank message. if she opens the stock messaging app, the picture will show in there.
View 12 Replies View RelatedOK so i just got this phone a few days ago and now I cant send texts or make phone calls but I can do everything else like use the internet receive texts etc. I had another issue earlier today where my phone shut off randomly and wouldnt turn back on when i knew it ha almost full battery. I took out the battery the sim and then out them back in no luck eventually i took out the s pen and it worked. A few hour later i got home and tried to send and text and no luck. Ive tried everything i cleared the Google services framework cache and text message app cache Ive tried another texting app and even restored it to factory settings. still same issue. What i can do next. I'm on Verizon and bought the phone off amazon wireless.

Fido sim card would still work, however, I got my phone unlocked anyways. I'm trying to use Fido's visual voicemail application.Every time when I try to load the app (without Wi-Fi connected), it says that I need to uninstall it since I have another voicemail application which is Rogers'
I got all of those Rogers' app hide and disabled but wouldn't work.how to use Fido voicemail application?

When I do this, the chooser comes up and gives all kinds of choices, for anything that can handle text/plain i assume, because there's stuff in there that doesn't support "e-mail". How can I make it so that it will only show applications that support email (gmail, mail, yahoo mail, etc...) and not stuff like "Bluetooth", "Facebook", etc...
Is there an app for my Droid X that will allow me to send mail with my alias?

I've been using the HTC app, but have noticed that after a day or so the notification sound stops playing when I receive an email. This happened for anyone else? Anyone tried both apps for any length of time and have strong opinions over which app is better? I saw a review that said the HTC app is better but the Google one doesn't seem too bad to me... Anyone using the Google app that would care to chime in?

I am receiving many emails from different accounts (approx 6 different accounts) and I would like to have a way to read the emails from the notification panel and mark them as "read" or "delete".
And, in the mail app, the best will be with a consolidated view for unread messages.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI work as a software developer and for the better part of my day I'm looking at my work screen and my phone is on silent. Because of this I miss SMS's and missed call notifications sometimes for hours. I have been looking for an app that allows me to push some, if not all, notifications raised by my phone to my desktop.
I tried growl but that requires a local web server which I cannot obviously run at work. I also do not have access to my work network from my phone because wifi is restricted. So I need a solution that sends these notifications over the web.
Is there an app or a service that can push notifications from android to my desktop?
I've had my Samsung galaxy s4 for a while, and I've never had a problem. But now, if I get a new text message, it doesn't ring or put the envelope in my notification bar. The only way to know is to go into my messages and see the new messages. I've resetted my messaging settings, but it still doesn't tell me that I have a text message. Other apps like Snapchat and Facebook notifications work.
View 3 Replies View RelatedI am having an issue with Yahoo Mail app on my Samsung Galaxy Note Pro 12.2 running 4.4.
Initially when I was using the Yahoo Mail App on my 12.2 with contacts synced. I was able to successfully use the autofill in the "To" bar. But for some unknown reason autofill no longer works. I have uninstalled and reinstalled YM app a few times and there is no change. I have alse cleared cache on Contacts with no dice either.
I have a Galaxy Note 2. I use the Yahoo Email app and want to select a cool ringtone for my email sounds but can't because the app only recognizes only the installed system sounds.
So who knows to get this app to play whatever ringtone you want?

A colleague got one before me and one thing that he reported was that after the Froyo update he could not send pictures in the stock Mail app. I have replicated this. No matter the picture size, it will not send through the Maill app. Gmail works fine for this. My colleague says it worked before, but has broken on 2.2. Has this issue come up before? I couldn't find any threads for it. It's very annoying, because one of the main uses we have for the phone is to snap pictures of machines in the field and send them back to the office. Any help would be appreciated.
View 6 Replies View RelatedSo I emailed myself a few pictures the other day and I received an error message saying 'can't send email, account settings are incorrect' in the notification bar. I send a test email from my phone to another email address and i got it just fine and I send an email to my phone and got it just fine as well.. The frustrating part is that I get that 'cant send email' notification every 30 minuntes and it sounds just like Im getting a text so its even more annoying and I cant stop it.
Anyone have this problem or know how to fix it?
Javamail is not compatible with SDK 1.5. Do you know other ways I can send mail automatically?

You see something interesting, snap a photo, and quickly send it to a friend.With the Hero, when I select a photo, and try to "Share" it via a "Message", it always says, "Message size limit reached. View 4 Replies View RelatedYesterday my Dinc started to post a message that it is "unable to send mail" via my Hotmail account. It has a script that you go through to check the settings and I have done that and all would appear to be OK. But, as soon as it checks for mail the message pops back up.
I have shut the phone off and have pulled the battery to no avail. The truly odd thing is emails are coming and going just fine, I'm just getting this dumb message with a tone/vibration warning.
My IT got it to work anyway. Not sure how he did it, but it took awhile.
Anyone else get it to work?
The email interface kinda sucks, but it works without an app.

Sometimes it will check if the phone is awake, but otherwise it could sit in my pocket sleeping for three hours and never once send/receive.

I was unable to send email through the native app, and it seems I can't send email with K9 either. This is with att.net as well as another server which synced well (folders and all) on the native app.
