When I start to type in any notepad app, although the cursor moves (sometimes to the right, often down a line or two or three first and then to the right) no text appears on screen. However, when I then exit the keyboard, the text miraculously appears. This only happens in notepad apps. My notepad of choice is "Note Everything", but I've now duplicated the problem in two other notepad apps. Im using Galaxy Note.

Is there a way for me to shrink the size of the keyboard that appears when I'm typing text? Often, I'll be composing a message to a board like this one, and the text I'm typing will be invisible because the keyboard is taking up over half the screen.
View 2 Replies View RelatedToday I faced a very weird problem. In my game I create AlertDialog to show the user next level challenges when one is succeeded. So, the corresponding code is like this. when the game is succeeded showDialog(R.id.display_success) is called and the following code is executed.
So, I am expecting to execute this code in every call. However; the game is executing only once and showing the same AlertDialog in every other execution. I mean, like the instance is not created after the first one is created and the first instance is used all the time. code...
I got this second messaging icon that appears in the top left when I get a text. Its relentless and can only be cleared by dropping down the notification window and clicking on 'clear'. It looks like a small envelope but not very good graphically. I originally thought it was default app notification but its not. I'm rooted and have a custom rom installed. Someone please tell me how to stop it, I can't take it anymore.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI don't understand why while using the lock feature on my Incredible when i recieve a text it shows up on the screen before i unlock the phone. isn't the point of locking it to keep prying eyes from seeing your stuff? Is there a way to prevent the contents of the text from showing up before unlocking while still being notified that you have recieved a message?

Sometimes when I type it wont fill in whatever field that I am typing in whether its a text message, search, or web page. The dictionary will come up as if I am typing the word but no actual letters will have been typed. I've tried with both the stock keyboard and better keyboard but it wont work until I restart the phone.

Almost every time I try to send a text, I'll get about halfway through typing it, and the program will just go back to the previous page without warning. I lose the text and I have to start over. I open the slide out keyboard and start typing an email, some letters (like C) does not type so I try a few times clicking the key and it types. then when I hit A the entire text is highlighted and the next character that I type replaces the highlighted text. You can imagine how annoying this can be. I thought I must have done something wrong and examined that the fn key was not pressed (cycled through it by pressing fn 3 times). No luck. I tried the same thing in 5 min and it all worked fine. I am baffled.

If I am typing a text I cant select the letter Z or the shift/caps key. I also have a hard time selecting shortcuts in that corner. I am running the 1st 2.1 leak if that makes any difference. Is anyone experiencing touchscreen issues that may have any solutions or should I get a replacement? Does anyone think the OTA might fix this? BTW, I've calibrated my phone several times to no avail. It also happens in landscape but it shifts to the bottom right corner of course!

I just plugged my phone into the computer, pushed a file to the sdcard and then unplugged it. When I opened Root Explorer, it didn't default to my sdcard as usual so I opened the built in file manager and it found the card just fine. I checked the /mnt folder and sure enough the sdcard appears in there. /sdcard has always shown in my root directory and has done so up until now. Now, instead of a /sdcard folder, I see a file in the root directory named sdcard. I fear the location change could cause issues (the least of which is tweaking out my OCD).
I didn't do anything out of the ordinary. USB Debugging is enabled, I left the phone in charge only mode, I ran the command "adb push C:directoryfile /sdcard" and it appeared to be successful, I unplugged it without using the "eject" function on the computer. I've done this many many times before and this has never happened to me. I have a Droid X and am running Wizard0f0's MIUI build. Again, none of my steps vary from what I've done before. The computer is the same, the drivers are the same, the location of adb is the same, etc.

My device switched fro MTD to UMS correctly but only internal sdcard in visible and mount on my computer.
/sdcard2 (external sdcard) is not visible and not mounted on computer.
The strange part of the process is that /sdcard2 is unmount from the device (ACER) but not presented to the computer.
I tried to reformat the external sdcard2 without success.
