I've upgraded my software and have no problems with my phone, but now when I send a text message a tick appears in the dialog box. When I first got my phone I was being charged for text notification from orange so I'm just wondering if this tick has something to do with that? If so, how do I turn them off?

View 1 Replies View RelatedI am having a difficulty getting texts on my x10. It is branded orange but is unlocked and "working" on three UK. I can surf the net on it (I added a APN) and send and receive calls again just not getting any texts. At one point I did and it was when 3 told me to reboot the phone to finish the process and after reboot hey presto! I can send texts on three and other SIMs work fine. Can't receive calls either, when you phone it is says the number is not recognized.

View 1 Replies View Relatedi have handcent as my default sms app which is alot better then the stock one. When i get a sms i have the pop up enabled (after you unlock the handset). but not to show the keyboard. This works ok but when i press the white square to reply - the text you received does not move to the top of the screen so you cant see what your typing or you cant press send as there hidden by the keyboard. The only way you can see that is when you have finished is to press the back button (that closes the keyboard) and then you can also press the send button. If i have the keboard to pop up automatically when i get a txt....i only see the top line of writing / send button!

View 6 Replies View RelatedI have been having a problem recently with my phone sending text messages to random nonsensical numbers. i.e. I get a message failure because the phone tried to text "0110000100000" which is obviously not a phone number. I had installed handcent almost immeadiatly upon getting the phone. So I tried uninstalling it and putting on chomp. Still have the same problem. It seems to help if I use my task killer after using the sms app.
I am running the original firmware that came on the phone from Rogers, as everytime I use pc companion, it tells me i am up to date, and the update service locks up my computer (and my laptop and my wife's netbook).
I would rather not do a factory reset, but I am getting pretty close.
I can't get any information on forwarding text messages. Shop where I got my phone couldn't help.Can't find anything in the user guide either?

Basically when someone sends me a text message, I can see the first part of it on the screen that shows the various text conversations that I am having with people BUT when I click on that particular conversation, the text message isn't there. To give an example, my husband and I have been texting a lot tonight and I have the text conversation up to about 2 hours ago, but none of the messages since then are visible (although the first line of the last one he sent to me is visible on the main text message screen).

On the X10, is it possible to organize text messages so that they appear in an in box and sent items etc? Mine are showing up by each contact, which is good in a way, but I can't find a way to delete individual messages. It seems that all messages from a contact all form part of one long thread, even if I start a new message to a contact. That means that when I went to delete a message from a contact, the phone deleted all the messages from her. There wasn't anythign of special importance in them, but I'd like to be able to delete single messages.
