General :: Moto Cliq And Getting Videos Off Of SD Card

Apr 24, 2012

I'm a WinMob head but have been charged with a very important task; to retrieve all data from a frind's decased son's cell phone (Motorola Cliq Tmobile). I Pulled the SD card and transfered the pictures etc but the videos keep giving me a error; is there a trick to zipping them or something I can do to get them off?

My other issue is that the phone is a zombie-brick....by which I mean it will not charge enough to stay on; it charges enough to auto reboot and that taps the battery and it crashes over and over again. I bought a new battery and got the same results; the charging indicator shows it is charging but the phone does not show a charger is connected when it is on and I have spent the little charge that was on the new battery.

General :: Attempting To Salvage MicroSD Card Pics / Videos?

Nov 7, 2013

Samsung Note 2. 16GB Samsung SDHC card. Not rooted. Stock ROM. The other day out of the blue, pops up and says "SD Card Blank/Unsupported Filesystem".

Attempting to put SD card in other phones = same result.

So trying to get it to connect to a computer. Yes, the adapter that I have supports SDHC cards.

Trying to run command prompt and it's not seeing the pathway to the drive (F.

Here's what's interesting to me...If I go START>COMPUTER>RIGHT CLICK>MANAGE>COMPUTER MANAGEMENT>DISK MANAGEMENT...IF I have the SD card connected to the computer, then that box freezes right there and stops responding...If I disconnect the SD card, box automatically pops up and shows the hard drives on the computer. Plug it back it, that box stops responding again.

Another intersting note...Now AUTOPLAY is attempting to pop up and run...it keeps running the bar back and forth like it's attempting to read, but then it just disappears. If I go to MY COMPUTER and look, I can see the F DRIVE there...but when I attempt to click on it...It just freezes that box as well, stops responding and I have to force close it.

With the AutoPlay kicking on and MY COMPUTER recognizing the F Drive, that leads me to believe that the card itself isn't 100% toast and recoverable...Has the controller module on the card gone out?

And FWIW, I have tried getting the card to read on Windows XP, Windows Vista, Linux and OS-X...The AutoPlay that it's doing now is on an XP machine. Obviously, I can't attempt to salvage any files if I can't get the computer to atleast recognize (and continue to recognize) the card.

General :: Samsung Galaxy Mega 6.3 - Playing Videos From External SD Card?

Nov 18, 2013

I have a Samsung Galaxy Mega 6.3, with a 64GB Micro SD card. I would like to play back videos I have stored on my SD card; however none of the videoplayers I've tried will do it - they all say the file cannot be played. The videos all play fine when stored locally, so I know there is no issue with the files themselves or the transfer process of getting them onto the SD card. Currently, if I want to watch a video, I have to use the My Files app to navigate to the file on the SD card and move it to the internal storage. This works, but its clunky and not very nice. Is this a bug feature of 4.2.2, or of my handset in general?

Motorola CLIQ :: SD Card Damaged - Need To Reformat

Dec 12, 2009

Last night as I was playing on my phone as I always do, out of nowhere I received a notification that my SD card was damaged and I may have to reformat it. (That really upset me as I had just recorded some video of my son earlier in the day). I had always used the 8gb card that I bought with the phone from T-Mobile and have never had any issues. Here's what I tried to remedy the situation, without having to reformat the card.

1. Unmount the card (isn't even showing up as an option now).
2. Power cycled the phone.
3. Powered off the phone, removed the battery and SD card, replaced both and powered back on.
4. Left the phone powered off all night.
5. Called technical support and they were unable to help me.

Now, I have a picture frame on my home screen with a picture of my son in it. It still pulls the picture, but if I try to view my Picture Gallery, there is nothing in it. (So if I am using the android picture frame widget, did it copy that picture to the actual phone?). I do have a card reader, usb cable, etc., but did not yet want to try and see if I could see the files on my PC until I could find out if anyone had any other ideas?

Motorola CLIQ :: Cliq To Work On Basic Data Plan On T-Mobile

I assume I'm also unable to receive picture messages, though I haven't specifically tested that. The bigger problem is a random text I keep getting. It comes from 11-216-116-11, and always says the same thing, "error invalid number please re-send using a valid 10 digit mobile number or valid short code." They always come in threes, and I always get them when I reboot the phone or sometimes they come randomly. Can anybody help with these issues?

My apps are saved to my phone, and the pictures I take with my phone and the videos are also saved into my phone. Only songs are saved into my SD card. Am I doing something wrong? or is the Micro SD card only made for songs, and not the pictures and the videos and the apps? I have an app to back up my information called m:IQ, and there it says I used up 46% phone memory, and only 2% of the Storage card. So can anybody tell me what's wrong exactly?

Bizarrely I seem to have lost all the videos I had on my SD Card. Including those I had recorded with my phone, these were in the same folder as the photos which are all still there.

Also missing are the films I had on there in a totally different folder on the SD card.

It is as if I have set it to search and delete anything that ressembled a video.

Anyone know how/why this could have happened.

I have rebooted several times, and removed and re-seated the card.

HTC Incredible :: Can't See / Find Videos Put On SD Card / How To Get

Aug 4, 2010

Ok, I'm sick of looking around for the answer to this. And I apologize if its a "noobish" question:

When I plug my phone into my computer two drives come up (H: and I. From what I can tell, I: is my SD card, because it has the DCIM folder with all my pictures in it. Now...When I tried to put videos (mp4s,.avi) in there, I could not for the love of god find them through my phone! (I use Rockplayer to view videos by the way and its great so far). When I did finally find them through some file explorer in a strange Root folder called eccm or something I couldn't open them cause they didn't seem to get recognized by RockPlayer. But when moved those same files/folders to H: drive (my internal memory I assume) they showed up in rock player and I could play them.. Same thing goes for comics, I couldn't find my .cbr files when I put em on the SD card drive. The other reason this is hard for me to tell is that my SD card is 8gigs, which is the same as internal storage right?

So...Does the phone combine internal and SD storage and show it as two drives for some odd reason (I doubt it and I feel ******ed even asking)? And more importantly, can I store videos on the SD card and have 'em show up in file exploret/rockplayer/android comic viewer right off the bat? Cause it seems that by default RockPlayer or most programs show the internal memory and all its folders when opened, not what you put into your SD card..

I tried on the computer and every time I selet a video to rename it, it tells me that renaming the video may make it unusable or something which obviously will defeat the purpose of making the video in the first place.
