I was trying to install CyanogenMod, but now it wont boot. It's just boot with a 'circle'logo, and nothing happends.

A boot loop happen after i tried installing cyanogenmod 7 early realease from this forum. Now the device stuck in boot and will display cyanogenmod 7 blue circle around 3 -4 seconds over and over. I need to do a factory reset, but now it stuck in boot loop and it does not have a key combination to go into recovery mod.
View 9 Replies View RelatedI have recently rooted my Galaxy S3 and I wanted to install cyanogenmod. I used ROM manager to do so.
The problem is that as soon as I installed it, my phone supposedly rebooted but it never started up again!
Now all I get is a flashing "menu" and "back". I can't boot normally, or in download mode, or in odin mode.
I recently installed cyanomod on my wildfire (buzz), but when my phone is on AC i can not turn the phone on. this can only be fixed by removing the battery and booting it without being connected to the net. Also,if i plug in the AC when the phone is turned off, the red led indicating the battery charging will won't turn off when i unplug the device.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI installed Cyanogenmod 10.2 a few days ago, and has been working fine up until about an hour ago. My phone basically locked up while I was using Spotify, so I did a hard reboot, and got stuck in a boot loop. I tried to reboot a few times with the same results. I didnt have much on my phone, so I did the factory reset (using Teamwin recovery), but after that the phone was still stuck in the boot loop. After that, I tried the "Format Data" option.
After going through, It was still stuck in the boot loop. I've also tried to restore backups, but to no avail. I'm not super knowledgeable about the whole inner workings of rooting. I didn't want to do the advance wipe (includes internal storage, system, USB-OTG) for fear of really messing something up. If it completely restores to factory settings, i don't really care, I just dont want my phone to be completely unuseable.

My current GS3 apparently had water damage, and a new one is coming from the insurance tomorrow. I figured that since the warranty is up and the insurance won't replace it again, I may as well finally root and flash a custom rom. From my poking around the internet, I like CyanogenMod 10.1. I am on AT&T.
I've only attempted a root once before with this current phone, which I think worked, but I abandoned the project months ago and don't remember. In any case, besides that, I've never rooted or flashed a rom before.

I understand that after rooting, I have to create a backup (using that Titan Backup app in the video I think?" and i am going to use Goo Manager to download the ROM and gapps. I saw another video that had me move files from the computer to my phone, but they didn't do any backing up, and apparently that's necessary.
What does it mean to "trip a flash counter"? And what is a toolkit, and do I need it?
I have an intenso tab714 with android 4.0.4 and I can't find a guide to install cm and cwm recovery on this tab.Also rom manager can't automatically install the cwm.TAblet is rooted.I downloaded cm9 and cmw recovery .zip but I do not know if they are safe to use on my tab.

I tried to install cyanogenmod 9 on sony xperia ray. I got everything working with the exception that the phone can't register on the GSM network. I read some posts and I think I need to flash the baseband.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI had cwm recovery rom running, but i did not install it. then i installed cyanogenmod. now recovery is cyanogenmod, but i want it to be cwm recovery.
when i boot into recovery, i get cyanogenmod. adb and fastboot commands do not seem to be working. like i cant switch to fastboot via adb reboot bootloader. (is that because i flashed the custom rom???)
google play is not installed yet either because adb and fastboot isnt working like it was before i flashed cyanogenmod. i was going to try to download the cwm rom manager again to install (permanently) cwm recovery rom.
How to install cyanogenmod in unsupported device (in here i'm using Advan Vandroid E1C [from Indonesia]) ? I had to reading how to port, but i still don't understand how to install it.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI have a Samsung Galaxy S3 (GT-19300) international version. I rooted it last night. Took a custom backup of ROM and backup using Titanium backup. I installed cyanogenmod 9 on it today. It was working perfectly. Then when i installed Google apps (gapps) and restarted it got stuck on the bootscreen. I hardbooted and now all i see is this fuzzy black n white screen ( like static). I tried going into clockworkmod recovery but still the same screen. However, i can still go to odin mode.
So i guess i have to install stock firmware through odin now. But i'm unable to download the firmware. All links are on hotfile and as everyone knows , it sucks :/ download stops after 2 min. Cant find a mirror also.
I've tried downloading it many times but failed
I have a galaxy sII (i91000) and i really want the stock calendar apk from the galaxy sIII. I searched xda before but there are like 3 apk's for it. splanner.apk, seccalender.apk and seccalendarprovider.apk but i dont know which is which.
how i manage to do that?

What's up everyone, I created a custom cyanogenmod themed boot animation the other day and thought I would share it with you.

so i installed via rom manager. and i let it run its course ... then its nothing but the boot animation for 30 minutes until the battery died lol.
any ideas/suggestions?

I have LG P970 Optimus black. I know this problem is about a lot of devices and a lot of regions. We are using latin alphabet with some special characters. like "ı, ş, �, ğ, �.." when someone sends me a text message with this characters,
It is normally shown in cm7 and its based roms.
It is normally shown in lg roms which are released for turkey
but it is shown like one space in different lg roms.
For fixing it, what can i do. Is it about message apk? or about some libs?
I am using a rooted verizon LG G2. I rooted the device with ioroot 25 and installed TWRP 2.7.0.0 using AutoRec. (AutoRec - KitKat Recovery Installer - xda-developers, Here's a forum if you're unfamiliar with AutoRec)
Whenever I try to flash Cyanogenmod 11, TWRP says the flash is successful. I then go to reboot the device and I'm stuck in a boot loop of LG's logo. During the flash, TWRP mentioned that no MD5 file was found, which may or may not be related to the issue I'm having. During the bootloop, I booted back into recovery using the keys on the back of the phone and restored Stock LG KitKat. I've tried using multiple versions of CM 11, nightlies and snapshots. I'm stuck using TWRP 2.7.0.0 because AutoRec is one of the only methods I've had success with when installing a custom recovery.
Any info on this phone with regards to custom ROM development?.
View 5 Replies View Relatedmy Android phone (LG P970). The story is the phone is working as much as I can call and text but the system is not stable. It's freezing a lot and then it's trying to reboot but after every rebooting my phone freeze on LG logo... the only way to run it again is taking out the battery and then system is starting ok but it's loading with all settings and data from few days ago... I have try to flash it with Smartflash tool... whole process whas without any error then phone rebooted automaticly and I find out that after rebooting my p970 sterted with the same old and notstable rom with all the call list and messeges from few days ago.. then I tryed to do the emergency recovery of my phone with LG software. Application asked me to type the model and S/N of my phone so I did that and again the whole process of recovery was ok (with no errors)... Then the phone rebooted on the end which is normal and again started with no effect of recovery.. it was the same ZEUS 7 rom, not stable and with all the data and settings from few days ago... I decided to use Titanium Backup to uninstall all the apps and I was trying to instal ROM MANAGER and run the recovery mode but in the middle of my work the phone freez again and then rebooted and then again freeze on LG logo... I took out the battery and again turned it on and when the system was loaded I find out that all the programs which I have deleted with TITANIUM BACKUP was restored somehow... EVERY time I try to restart in normal mode, reboot in recovery mode or even after flashing system is restarting automaticaly, it freeze on LG logo and the only way to run it again is to take out this battery... then system restoring all data and settings for some reason. maybe some of you know whot software i should use to do the FULL WIPE and get rid of the old borken system?
View 2 Replies View Relatedi installed jellyblast on my galaxy ace gt-s5830i, used it for couple of days and then restored cwm backup to stock rom. after about a week the phoen booted itself and got into bootloop. when i tried to wipe data got this mesaage : E:format_volume: rfs format failed on /dev/stl11.
* i tried installing cwm backup
* i tried installing stock rom from samfirmware using odin with/without pit.
* i tried multiformatter for changing ext4 to rfs and then again tried unstalling stock rom and also custom roms.
* i tried wipe firmware package.
* phone enters in bootloop when i flash stock rom using odin and get stuck on boot when i install custom rom through cwm.
Alright so my phone has been rooted for a while now and I have been running Koush's Cyanogenmod for the DInc for a couple weeks. Now I was wondering how do I get themes for these ROMs and how do I install them?? I have seen people on the XDA forums theme their DIncs and they said something about metamorph but I have no idea what that is.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI've been working on this phone from start to finish about 9 hours, over two days..I've Google just about every combination of words to do with the title and everything in between but nothing seems to come close to what i actually need to do as nothing works.
i have an LG Optimus 2x / p990, it had ICS on it but was far too slow to handle this, it needs something a bit less hardware intensive to run smoothly, so i went ahead an found cyanogenmod stable...7.2 i installed sdk after an hour of finding out how it works i finally got adb and fast boot working.
to cut a 9 hour story short, I've managed to get myself to the point where i wiped the phone of everything but CWM partitioned for ics via the AIO software but CWM will not let me install any ROM onto the phone. to be more precise it says i have installed CM 7.2 successfully! (I've tried this via the CWM via external SD card and side load) i reboot the phone it's as if I've never done a thing, no trace or suggestion I've even attempted it on the internal card... nothing
i'm at the point now where i'm quite happy to just have my phone back now and install ICS 404 but can't use the LG kdz install software as the pc doesn't see the phone as an LG p990 because it's recovery and i can only get it to come up as internal and external memory cards.
Can get my phone working will do, preferably the CM 7.2 if not back to ICS 404? i should have backed up but i had no idea it could be so complicated just to put an OS on a tiny computer. I've tried that exit recovery.zip thing and it did nothing :/
I'm not sure if this is considered a boot loop but when turned on, after the logo it turns into a blank screen.
Anyway, I was stupid enough to install 3D chainfire when it's not compatible (I neglected the description since it worked on my previous galaxy ace) ...
I've tried going to recovery mode to:
- wipe data/factory reset
- wipe cache partition (but shows error)
Not sure what else can I do anymore. Since Ace 3 is fairly new, it's quite hard to find a solution with google.. Also, I have zero knowledge about flashing ROM or of the sort..
Extra info:
- My phone is Samsung Galaxy Ace 3 GT - S7275R
- Rooted with a Chinese universal rooting program
- When entering recovery mode, it shows "no command" for a few seconds before entering the menu.
