General :: How To Remove Google Play Service
Feb 5, 2014I want to get rid of from google play services and google's other cartel softwares. I dont want to share my location information via google, but ı want to share my location information via forsqaure. But google lay down "if you want to use forsquare, you must run google play services and you must share your information to us". And I dont want to pay money for google's ads; any android program has google's ads and it consumt cpu, ram and gsm internet connection. As so, for any android software before run, firstly try to show ads, after software running.. How can I get rid of from google cartel? If I make root and ı use different mod os(cyanogenmod etc), can ı stop these google's spy softwares? Any suitable mod os?

May 1, 2014While installiing "google play services" I got some error 919 "Incompatible with other applications(s) using the same shared user ID", for which i googled for solutions which said to uninstall Google service framework(GSF) then, install play services and then again install GSF.
when i tried to uninstall the GSF via "titanium backup" i was unable to do so. Hence i thought of converting it to an user app ,then take a backup of apk file and then uninstall it. While doing so, it was taking very much time, so i rebooted my phone, after which i did not found GSF in my apps list.
Now i'm not able to have an access to play store.
My GSF version was 4.0.1- 212031

Feb 17, 2014I have a ZTE V889S (aka ZTE Blade C, ZTE V807) with android 4.1.2. When I download any application/game off the Play Store, it will download up to 100%, yet not install. If I exit google play, wipe the process, and start it again, then it will install the application that it already downloaded. when applications update, I have to restart google play multiple times to update everything, which becomes a nuisance.
I had the problem even on the original android 4.1.2 rom (with the default/not updated play store app), and I currently have Lewa OS (A chinese custom rom), which still has the problem. There is enough space in every possible install location (I've tried setting it to the SD card and the internal storage). The alternative chinese app market has no problem installing applications right after downloading them.

Apr 24, 2013after I had surfing internet for a while, I had found a workaround and successfully installed Google Play Services on my device (GT-S5300) with custom rom.

Steps:
1. Download Gapps for your ROM here.
2. Turn off your phone.
3. Enter recovery mode and do Wipe data/factory reset. (Make sure that you have backed up everything.)
4. Flash the Gapps.
5. Wipe Dalvik cache and cache partition then reboot.
6. Get the lastest version of Google Play Store and install it.
7. Update all the Gapps via Play Store.
8. Then install Google Play Services and done!
Or open the Market (Play Store) and tap agree. Then press home and leave it awhile. After the Play Store is updated, open it and tap agree again. The new Play Store should download Google Play Services and install it for you.
NOTE: It may NOT working with some ROMs.

Apr 19, 2013I like using Google play music but the application has been changing my album art around and i cant figure out how to change it back.I saved a picture to my external SD card and Google music decided to tag all the Unknown Artists with the picture, but it only seems to show up in Google Music.
I have multiple media players installed and only some of them recognize the art and display it.I have tried editing the tags but its like the images are not there like since the image was in the forlder it pretty much overwrote things.I have cleared the cache and data for google music rebooted my device with no luck.What are my options at this point to get this picture out the tags and off my phone.

Mar 26, 2012I was just surfing the Google Play Store on my laptop, just browsing some apps, when I noticed my phone HTC ADR6425LVW showed up 3 different times when it prompted which device to download the app, too.
I am rooted, I have the HTC Rezound and a couple days ago, the desktop Google Play Store showed 2 different versions of my phone. I didn't really make anything of it because I exchanged my phone for a new one during the 14 day return period. Why this would happen, unless it occurs when I flash new ROMS. But I've flashed at least 6 ROMS over the course of at least 20 different times. Would this cause warranty issues if I try to have a replacement done if something happens to my phone?

Nov 7, 2013Recently I've been having an issue with Google Play Music where when I play a song, it plays for a second then pauses, so I have to press play to get it going again. This occurs repetitively which means I can't listen to music.
It happens on songs that are being streamed and on songs that are on the device.
Funnily enough, if the song is played through ES file explorer and the little play music popup window comes up, it plays fine.
I've got this issue on both my devices, a tf101 running 4.3 and a nexus 5 with stock 4.4 rooted.
Edit: just remembered, I've also got this issue with MX Player and videos. I can't figure out what's wrong.
Streamed videos played through the gallery video player work fine.
