How can I install google play with out rooting it. If rooting is required is there a guide that I can have to root it. Tried installing gapps and it didn't work

View 5 Replies View RelatedI have a ZTE V889S (aka ZTE Blade C, ZTE V807) with android 4.1.2. When I download any application/game off the Play Store, it will download up to 100%, yet not install. If I exit google play, wipe the process, and start it again, then it will install the application that it already downloaded. when applications update, I have to restart google play multiple times to update everything, which becomes a nuisance.
I had the problem even on the original android 4.1.2 rom (with the default/not updated play store app), and I currently have Lewa OS (A chinese custom rom), which still has the problem. There is enough space in every possible install location (I've tried setting it to the SD card and the internal storage). The alternative chinese app market has no problem installing applications right after downloading them.
Starting today am unable to download or update any app from official play store on an rooted device. Any clues to resolve this ?
View 1 Replies View Relatedafter I had surfing internet for a while, I had found a workaround and successfully installed Google Play Services on my device (GT-S5300) with custom rom.

Steps:
1. Download Gapps for your ROM here.
2. Turn off your phone.
3. Enter recovery mode and do Wipe data/factory reset. (Make sure that you have backed up everything.)
4. Flash the Gapps.
5. Wipe Dalvik cache and cache partition then reboot.
6. Get the lastest version of Google Play Store and install it.
7. Update all the Gapps via Play Store.
8. Then install Google Play Services and done!
Or open the Market (Play Store) and tap agree. Then press home and leave it awhile. After the Play Store is updated, open it and tap agree again. The new Play Store should download Google Play Services and install it for you.
NOTE: It may NOT working with some ROMs.

I updated the YouTube app from Google Play Store a few days ago. After it was updated, I tried to open it, but a message popped up saying that I needed to install Google Play Services and linked me to the app's Play Store page. Google Play Services downloads fine, but during the installation process, an error message pops up, saying:

View 2 Replies View RelatedI just got a Arnova 10D G3 and it doesn't boot. All I get is the "Arnova" logo on a black screen. I bought it on a refurbished condition, it was a pretty good deal so I am ready to do any risky procedure to make it work since I don't have much to lose.
I downloaded the latest firmware from the official website but I am unable to use it because I can't access the recovery mode.
How can I make it boot?
I am now able to access the recovery mode (power + vol up) but the tablet keeps rebooting after loading this mode. I don't even have a menu.
Is it possible to change the operating system on the arnova 10 g2 to the most up to date android gingerbread or jellybean and if its possible how i do it.

View 3 Replies View RelatedRecently I've been having an issue with Google Play Music where when I play a song, it plays for a second then pauses, so I have to press play to get it going again. This occurs repetitively which means I can't listen to music.
It happens on songs that are being streamed and on songs that are on the device.
Funnily enough, if the song is played through ES file explorer and the little play music popup window comes up, it plays fine.
I've got this issue on both my devices, a tf101 running 4.3 and a nexus 5 with stock 4.4 rooted.
Edit: just remembered, I've also got this issue with MX Player and videos. I can't figure out what's wrong.
Streamed videos played through the gallery video player work fine.
How I can stop update the google play version automatically ??
Because if I donwgrade them to 4.0 he automatically update to 4.3 !!
l uninstalled Google Search and Google Play store apps, but they were not completely uninstalled and now I can't reinstall them because the store says they are installed. I cannot find them on my android tablet and so I cannot use them. What is a good app to completely uninstall them. Some of these apps will not install on my Lenovo tablet.

just trying out Google Play Music today. I'm confused though as I have around 10000 music files sitting in a folder on Google drive. I can't see an option to ask Google Play Music to look into Google Drive and upload the music from there. I have connected my Google play music app on my nexus 7 to my Google account' but nothing seems to happen. Surely Google is able to connect two parts of its cloud together and I don't have to re upload everything?

I'm trying to figure out if the Google Play Music app tells Google what songs I'm listening to, or sends any other information to Google for that matter. If so, is there a way to turn that function off?

Just recently flashed the newest Liquidsmooth custom rom on my Samsung galaxy s3 running sasktel carrier (sgh-i747m) and I noticed that the browser doesn't work and a lot of apps were missing. When I press browser it won't open and when I try to buy nova prime off the nova launcher it won't open either. What are some ways to install the play store app etc. And use the browser app? I've been having a lot of problems with custom rlms.

View 5 Replies View RelatedMy Xperia Ray has 44 MB free Phone space and 75 MB free Memory Card space. But I am not able to install a 6 MB app from the play store. I am also not able to update the existing google maps(5 MB update).
I have tried turning the phone off/on. I have tried installing/ updating apps repeatedly. No change. I'll be happy if I can find a solution without rooting my phone.
