General :: Brand New HUAWEI Honor U8860 Always Boot In Recovery Mode
Jan 3, 2013I've bought a Huawei u8860 today but when I try to switch on, it goes automatically ( without push any other buttons ) in recovery mode.
I've tried to wipe and format cache, but once rebooted it goes always in recovery mode. The phone is brand new, unboxed today from a box with security stickers.
I've tried to update software from sdcard with its original firmware but it fails with this error:
-- Install /sdcard/dload ...
update package's ext name error.
E: ota_pre_update error.
Installation aborted
I don't think it is a software problem, but an hardware error.

Apr 15, 2013I got my Huawei Honor at christmas. It worked fine for the first few months.The stock launcher started crashing. It required a reboot when it crashed. It happened fee times a day.
Then, one morning, it crashed again. As usual, I rebooted and put it in my pocket. One hour later, I noticed my phone was hot. It d been stuck on a reboot for an hour. It was not the battery. The battery was cold. But the bottom part where sd and sim cards are was burning hot. When I took the battery off, the phone cooled down quickly. It had it's warranty left, so I took it back to the store and they sent it to repair. The phone was reparied in under a week, and they said they had to update the OS. It is still the same 4.0.3. Keeps crashing and launcher and all custom launchers from play store keep crashing. how to root this phone.
And is there big chance of bricking this phone?

Mar 19, 2013To install to clockwork recovery manually I replaced the recovery.img file but when i restarted my phone it says:
Image signature verify fail
Your boot/recovery image may have an incorrect signature.
Please update your image to a signature official one
you can remove battery for power down.
now i can access only to pink screen, but when i connect my phone with a usb cable then computer only checks drivers etc but does not open a drive where i could change recovery.img back to normal.
Maybe some drivers are missing.. Also made video of it: [URL] ....

Aug 1, 2013I have Huawei Ascend y300-0100 bought in Europe.
After many attempts to unlock it for all providers i managed to get stuck on boot screen.
I have:
Bootloader - unlocked
Access to TWRP but touche screen isn't working (Tried 3 vsrsio to make it work, but still touch isn't working)
I think my IMEI is "zero"
I can enter flashboot mood
I can enter pink screen
I tried to install stock ROM from huawei but i get error at step 2/2, same with custom ROM.
I don't have IMEI backed up.

Feb 18, 2012My Huawei Ideos u8150 is stuck on the logo. its six month old and not under warranty seal...now when I was surfing the internet (Obviously with another phone) I got an info says that I can format the SD card and create a new folder named "dloder" then put some files on it. then when I restart the phone pressing the volume down, red button and power button, the phone will update itself and it'll be ok again. now my Qs are:-
1 - does such method work?
2 - if it works then what are the files I should put on the "dloder" folder and where do I get those files?

Jul 11, 2012My Sharp FX (ADS1) is stuck at the "Sharp" logo when I try turning it on, now I know that are several of these post on this forum, but I still can't find any that offers a solution for me. The phone is rooted and that's it, I haven't had time to put a new ROM or anything yet (although I would love to) and I can't seem to get into any type of recovery mode, and I think I have tried all of the button combinations, the only time that I can get it to show something other than "sharp" is when I plug it in, it shows a charging battery.

Nov 17, 2013yesterday, I flashed Modaco Switch for HTC One when my battery is low (20%). Now it wont let me pass the "HTC quietly brilliant" screen. I've searched the solution for hours and still, no luck on finding it out. But I see some thread that suggest me to download a new rom and put it in my SD Card, but I cant even pass the HTC boot up screen. Btw, I've relocked and unrooted my device.

when i connect it i hear the sound of the usb connect but cant see it on "my computer"
i tryed to do fastboot but fail*
i tryed to do recovery reset mode and and it transfer me to the clockworkMod Recovery but in the "install zip from sdcard" there is no files it
looks like the phone as been format and there is nothing on him
how can i install a new OS on my phone again ?
p.s - when the phone is connected to the reset mode its say "fail to open usb master mode"

Mar 25, 2014A friend of mine who bought a Huawei Honor 3 on a Chinese website has a problem with Google voice typing. He installed Voice Search, Google Search, even Google Text-to-Speech but it was maybe not useful, and he has no voice typing button on his keyboard, neither on his input settings. Tried with different keyboards, like Kii Keyboard, there is the button but nothing happens when he taps it.
We tried to follow this guide here to flash Gapps for MIUI but it didn't work, it only resulted in getting errors about Google services stopping.

May 9, 2014I have tried to update my Honor C3 system updates. Then I noticed that I have completely lost root access. They removed su binary. Then I tried to root again my Honor C3 with VROOT and it is OK again. But I can't overwrite system files such as changing system DroidSans-fallback.ttf fonts and also installing framework of Xposed (Overwriting app_process). I can't even delete system files also.
I searched for firmware files for my phone and I can't seems to find it. There is root access and I even test it via Terminal Emulator app and from ADB. Calling su binary in Shell was OK but I can't access /system well. H30-U10

Mar 1, 2013I have a huawei honor device and by mistake while I was formating my laptop to windows xp through the cd booting. My device was USB connected and I deleted the SD card and phone memory by mistake.
Know, I can see only the SD card memory, but can't see the internal memory for device.
The device normally has a 4GB internal memory, 2GB are for the software and the remaining 2GB for usage.
I'd tried downloading new rom, but still the same problem! Need retrieving the lost 2GB memory ?
