View 1 Replies View Relatedhow to root the Lenovo P700? It is on ICS 4.0.3. It seems to be a big brother of the A750 which already has root and custom ROM, but the only possibility is in a Chinese language forum ([URL]).
If not, any link to the stock ROMs so I can look them over?
i have a rooted V10i stock rom, i used nova launcher, so i deleted the stock one. my brother wanted to prank me and he did a factory reset on my phone, now i dont have any launcher in my phone and im stuck at configuration after reset, cant flash a stock rom, cause i cant get to settings to turn debugging on. what should i do?
View 2 Replies View RelatedI have a LG Optimus L7 (P700) and I am running on the stock ROM. My lockscreen is sometimes very slow (I have a pattern lockscreen) and I hate seeing that it's not fluid. The same goes for my launcher, but then I installed Nova Launcher which has a great impact on my performance (very fast launcher). I was wondering if there's an app that I can install that gives me a lockscreen based on performance, just like Nova Launcher. I've searched the Play Store and all I could find was an iOS Lockscreen which didn't quite work out for me.
View 3 Replies View RelatedI was able to root Karbonn A37 (MTK6577) using the software from t URL.....After the root process it instalsl this app - URL.....This app is in Chinese and it manages all the root permission requests as well as installs its own su and some other files.
I have tried to root using many other methods available here and only the above method was successful. After rooting I tried installing SuperUser and found that su is always getting overwritten. I would really love to use the standard English version of su and superuser, but if I uninstall the the Chinese app, the root access goes away.
Any way to make root permanent without the Chinese app and mange root permissions using superuser. Also what is this Chinese app doing, that none of our other rooting methods are not able to do?

View 1 Replies View RelatedI have an unrooted motorola droid. I am considering rooting but my question to you is will rooting my phone give me the ability to make it faster? I see people talking about "overclocking" help me understand how this works. All my friends who have "jailbroken" their iphones have made their phones noticeably slower and laggier. I wont root my droid if this is the same case.
View 16 Replies View RelatedI am new to Android and rooting. I have a Galaxy S and love it! I didn't even know what rooting was. I just came across it after looking for ways to make my phone faster. After a while I realized my phone speed slowed down and was looking for the reason behind it. That's when I learned rooting is the answer. So I used the One Click method and everything is fine so far.
My Kernel is 2.6.29 root@SE-S602 #2 and Baseband is XXJF3 (2.1). So I went into my apps and saw the superuser permission app. But it doesn'thttp://android.bigresource.com/add/add.php work! It is just a blacked out screen. So I am not sure where to go from here. I have tried searching for an answer but couldn't find one, just guides how to root. How to make my phone faster from this point? I get confused with all these ROM things! Which is the best ROM? MoDaCo? Is there a Froyo version of it?
I have a non-rooted Motorola Droid running 2.2 and I want to root to try out a ROM. I want to make sure I do this right. I don't want to lose any data (pictures, texts, etc) and I don't want to lose any apps. I've read a bunch of threads and it sounds like this is the general order I should proceed in:
1 - Backup data with MyBackupPro
2 - Root
3 - Backup apps with Titanium Backup
4 - Install ROM
Is this correct? Am I missing anything? Will the root method or ROM make a difference in terms of the process?

The device hardware is pretty awesome for the price, but I have problems
installing gApps as they are blocked on the phone.
I have attempted to root using Unlock Root "its supported?" but unsuccessful.
I have Novo 7 Elf ICS 4.0.3, adb is root, but when i try to SU in shell or use Root Check app on the device i got "permission denied", and all root application don't work (root explorer, etc ...).
Superuser is installed and running, but it seems that su doesn't launch Superuser at all. it just wait for 15 s and then "permission denied"
I've used Tasselhof-RootScript.
what i can do?
I've tried change su user/group and Superuser apk with no success.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI just got the Samsung Galaxy S Captivate. Seems like a nice phone. Every phone I've had in the past (Nokia, Sony, etc...) has always allowed me to hide my number so that the call display on the receiver's phone shows my call as 'private'. This is useful for when you don't want certain people to have your number when you call. Is there a way to do this on the Galaxy S? I couldn't seem to find any setting how.

Motorola Droid - Original
1. Rooted 2.1, then
2. OTA Stock Update to 2.2, then
3. Seem to have lost root, However - I still have the Superuser Permissions Icon.
I use Barnacle for WiFi Tether - I get a "Permission Denied" error when I try to start the application. I also went into the terminal emulator and tried an "su" which also gave a permission denied response. I tried "sudo" and also got permission denied response. Others have told me this is common with this progression of events. However, How do I now ROOT 2.2 in this scenario?
I just rooted my stock froyo with it! If this has already been discussed.
