With wich app i can backup contacts with links(facebook, msn) ,apps , games, savegames and game datas like the 600MB for GTA III?
I have titanum backup but they only backup the game but not the savegames and game files or? I have a HTC One X. When i flash and wipe, my files on the sd card will be deleted or not?
I did a Nandroid backup (system, data, etc. using CWM) and a Titanium backup (user apps), wiped my phone, and installed a new ROM.
Q: Does a Nandroid backup include the /ProgramData/Language/ folder?
I'm trying to restore files I 'hid' using the Hide It Pro app. A developer blog post mentions that this folder is the 'vault location'. As a result, I'd like to find this folder and restore it if possible.
A Titanium Backup restore of the Hide It Pro app+data didn't of course work due to this. I'd like to avoid restoring everything from the Nandroid backup if possible and just restore the individual folder. I have of course tried looking through the folders and files to find it, to no avail.
/sdcard/TWRP/ is empty except for a single .twrps file
/storage/emulated/0/ is same as /sdcard/
/storage/emulated/legacy/ is same as /sdcard/
/storage/sdcard0/ is same as /sdcard/
I know the backups exist, as when I'm in TWRP, I can hit RESTORE, and see my backups listed there, but if I goto ES File Explorer, and try to do a search for that same filename, I get no results.
I am searching an application that allows me to backup the .apk files of both user and system applications like AppWererabbit (http:url...). The problem is that i need this app to be compatible with android versions below 4.0, i.e. android 2.3.X.
I have already installed titanium backup on my phone, but i miss the ability to set an automatic .apk backup when each system/user app is updated. I think that to keep .apk files of older versions of the same app could be usefull.
Is there a way to read .bk files right on my computer in a text editor or something? Or maybe a virtual phone setup on my computer... Just shooting in the dark here, I have gotten rid of my S3 and switched to BB but backed everything up the day before incase I need something off there and I need some of the text messages that I had backed up that I didn't think I needed.
View 4 Replies View RelatedI am looking for an app with the following functions:
- backup selected folders to Google Drive
or
- backup complete phone to Google Drive
Possibility to schedule backup
Possibility to select to backup only over wifi
I have searched in Google play, but most apps:
- only backup sms, contacts and stuff like that, but now specific, self selected folders
or
- do not have a backup to Google Drive function
or
- can not schedule the backup
Is there any app which can do that?
I changed ROM on my phone and when restoring the messages (SMS) with Titanium Backup it didn't work. Well this was not the end of the world but I had some numbers in one SMS that I would really want.
Is it possible to open one of the Titanium Backup files on a computer and read the SMS content there?
I search for a way, to make a complete backup. Because i will test some other roms. Complete backup mean somthing like the ftf files for Flashtool. a backup from kernel, rom and personal data's in one way with one file or folder that i can restore later. I think, that this not is possible with Smartphone on, so it must be a way with pc and Smartphone in Flash- or Fastboot mode?

How to extract the IMEI number from my computer from the backup of EFS Partition files?
Do you know how to save files?
View 4 Replies View Related"Every Android-compatible device supports a shared "external storage" that you can use to save files. This can be a removable storage media (such as an SD card) or an internal (non-removable) storage. Files saved to the external storage are world-readable and can be modified by the user when they enable USB mass storage to transfer files on a computer." PROBLEM: I cannot write to a file on the sdcard. QUESTION: Is it possible to write to a file on the sdcard?
If YES, what do I need to do to make File.canWrite = true? I am using Android 2.1 update 1, API level 7, Eclipse, and HVGA skin. I am running my app / troubleshooting on the Android SDK ADV. When the AVD is running, I check settings > sdcard total 49.21MB, available 49.07MB................
I used SPRecovery to back up my 2.2 stock firmware. Where did it save the backup?
View 13 Replies View RelatedI'm saving files in
sdcard/Android/data/<packagename>/files
the problem is that everytime i download the app to the phone - the folder and it's contents get deleted.
anyway to prevent that.
ideally i would want that to happen only when the user uninstalls.
for debugging and user app upgrades - i'd like the folder and it's contents to remain.
I'm New to Android, but have had HTC Windows phones since the PPC-6700 about 6 years ago. My question is this (I have searched everywhere and No answer), When you sync your phone, does it also Save the Ringers for the Individual Contacts? I remember with all my Windows phones before, when I would Hard Reset etc. it would automatically bring back saved Pictures and Ringers on each individual contact. If not, is there a way of doing it? Does the Evo back itself up as a say an iPod Touch does. (I like that just to be Safe in case of Hard Resets).
View 5 Replies View RelatedTrying to learn all I can about the Rooted Droid. I've tried a couple of great ROMS, but each time I download and install a new one, I'm following the instructions and wiping everything. Although I thought I'd backed up appropriately with Titanium, my contacts always revert back to when I first bought the phone - they obviously didn't get backed up. Am I just missing something in Titanium, or is there a better way to save contacts and things like that? Also, are all of you literally starting from scratch each time you reboot with a new ROM - i.e. Are you literally having to start the "Welcome to the Droid", signin to Gmail, etc. screens or am I the only one?

View 1 Replies View RelatedI have an old official backup file from my old HTC Desire. sdcard/backup/HTC Desire
This is not a clockworkmod backup, its an official HTC backup)
I sold my old phone and bought a new one with an LCD screen.
I want to know if its possible to get my old text messages back etc.
My new phone is rooted, the old one was not.
I thought it might be as simple as just putting the HTC desire folder in the appropriate folder on my new SD card and the resetting the phone to factory. I was expecting to be prompted to restore my messages on bootup. But when I did this it only pulled a few SMS' from my SIM card and nothing from the backup folder.
Is there any software out there that will let me at least read through my old backup file? Third party desktop software even?
I used the option in batching Titanium Backup to move apps and data to my sdcard to save some space. I've decided I want to move it back so that it's available when I press the Launcher. I know where it's stored on the sdcard and I have root explorer, but I'm just not sure which folder to move it back to in the first place. which folder houses all the apps that are currently available via the Launcher?

View 1 Replies View RelatedThis may be somewhat of a silly/dumb question.....but can I rename the Nandroid backup files that I have made doing backups before flashing ROMs? I would like to know which one is which and I don't want to rely on my memory to have to remember. If this has been answered before, I apologize. If someone could point me in the right direction this thread can be deleted if it is old news.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI have a Motorola Moto G 8GB which is running very low on storage (only about 800mb left). This phone does not take Micro SD cards but it comes with 50GB Google Drive storage. However i haven't used this at all. I am wondering whether i could download android apps and games to google drive, dropbox etc. Games like Real Racing take up about 1GB so i cannot download it to my phone. Can i download it to the Cloud? If this is not possible, is there any way that i could save the app data on the cloud. E.g. The Simpsons: Tapped Out is about 37mb to download off the play store, but then you must download the updates etc which are about another 250mb. is there anyway to save this 250mb on the cloud. Or any other games data.
