is there any app or script to force keep an app in memory to not to be killed.I want to keep Micro CPU Monitor in memory always, but it gets killed all the time, having plenty of free RAM.I have tried App Settings (Xposed module) and init script but all in vain my device is HTC One (4.42)

View 1 Replies View RelatedFor whatever reason every browser I try reloads tabs when I leave the browser. It's REALLY annoying - I'm stuck on edge most of the time, and finding out that my tabs suddenly reload just because I switched to twitter for a second.
I tried to pretty much disable the LMK, and it still did this...
I tried Chrome, Browser Plus, stock ICS browser, Dolphin and Opera (which does this slightly less often) Last time I had this problem was on my old tablet with only 256 MB of RAM. (Which still did this less often than the Note on ICS)
Every time this happened, I had at least 120 MB of ram free. Seriously, the note has a full gigabyte of ram, and yet this happens.
This doesn't happen to me on GB.
Is there anything I can do to make browsing normal again? Like, exclude a browser from getting killed, or something? I'm using a Galaxy Note..
I am running Galaxo 1.6.1. Seems like my phone runs very slow. key presses and app responsiveness is pretty bad especially when i am going between apps like google maps and pandora. at this point it starts to turn into one force close after another)
I'm not an expert on android, but i installed Estrongs task manager and the max memory i get when i kill all apps is about 20mb. i'm often running at about 10-14 at normal use. (i'm sure its much less when the force closes start)
Does anyone have any suggestions for freeing up memory? I saw some tweeks for the previous galaxo roms but those don't seem to apply to 1.6

Using my HTC IO device, it survives 12 orientation changes before throwing an out of memory exception while inflating my activity.When I follow the recommended procedure of using DDMS to first force a GC and then write a heap dump, and then load it into the Eclipse Memory Analyzer, there is only one retained instance of my application, as there should be. None of the other retained objects are obvious offenders. Just for yuks, I reran the test, and did everything the same way except I didn't force a GC. In this case I see 13 instances of my application, which is more consistent with throwing an OOM exception. Is this telling me something useful? If forcing a GC with DDMS reclaims the memory used by now-defunct instances of my activity, I would have thought the VM would have garbage collected some, if not all of these defunct activities automatically. Do I need to request GC at the very beginning of my activity lifecycle to make sure?

Lately I've installed the new official update, knowing that I will loose root (which I did not really need anyway). Now, there is no root for this new version yet and due to the odex file for the app created on /data I cannot install this app via market/adb. So, I'v just changed my whole system to English, and that made me realize that THAT changes how GNow acts compared to Brazil. Ours is very limited, so changing system languague unlocks all of the goodies from it.Though , as much as I understand English, I don't want the entire phone to be on it.

View 2 Replies View RelatedLast night, one of my apps, flow free, wasn't working properly, and then it forced closed, then I think most of my apps did, like Samsung homepage, gmail, software update, android phone, log provider etc. I have a Samsung galaxy y Gt-S5360T, I haven't changed anything like ROM so I think it will still be in stock rom. After these apps have forced closed, it will turn off, we'll more its like it just turns itself on again. And then the problem just starts over. While this is happening, I can't really do anything, well when the force close thing isn't up, then sometimes I can start going into things, but never get a chance to do anything because the force close things either take me back to the home menu, or it turns off, sometimes, instead of having apps on the first page, and the call log, contact book, and messaging on the bottom, it just has the menu key, that's it. And even when I haven't unlocked it, it turns itself off and on again.
My SIM card had a problem, so I recently changed that to a blank and had it working with my old number and balance. And because of this, it was last night, I saved my contacts to my phone, rather than my SIM card.
Is there any way of fixing this( have already tried turning it off and on, and taking the battery out and putting it back in again) without losing my photos, songs, saved messages and contacts? And if not, is there any way of saving them to something else, even though my phone won't let me do anything? So what can I do?
So I have been flashing a couple of roms lately and everytime I flash a rom, the new ROM sees all the apps that are installed. However, it's not doing that anymore and I have 1GB left of storage with no apps installed. Is there a way to force android to see these apps? If not, is there a way to just wipe all of the app data that is on there so I can start over?

I think it started when my phone was low on memory (for applications) and I did market update with lot of errors. By now low memory errors is fixed.I tried some advices, like wipe data of that app, wipe dalvik cache, global fix permissions, disable autostart of non-system apps. Nothing worked.
