I have two Evo 4G's. If I have wifi on, it will disconnect blue tooth from my car. Is that all android devices or just HTC/E mvo? I thought it was a problem till HTC said you cant use both at same time.

Got my captivate today, loving it so far, first experience with Android. I was on the phone with my GF today, talking on my bluetooth headset and I was trying to browse the web while we were talking. My connection (WiFi) was being very flaky, extremely slow, or just plain unable to load anything. Turned wifi off and when I tried to turn it back on, it refused to connect to my network.
When I got off the phone with her, I tried to connect to WiFi again and it worked perfectly fine, full speed. Made a phone call to test it out, same result, WiFi extremely slow or not working at all. At that point I thought there was something wrong with the phone being unable to make a phone call and use WiFi at the same time. Then I decided to try disconnecting my BT headset and it worked perfectly. Right now I'm streaming a video off youtube with a phone call connected, but the second I turn my BT headset on the connection dies.
I listen to music at work with some Bluetooth speakers. I also occasionally connect to WiFi while at work. Since the Froyo update if I am connected to both Wifi and Bluetooth while listening to music, the bluetooth will turn itself on and off over and over again. This did not happen to me prior to the Froyo update.I guess my question is, can we not be running and be connected to WiFi and Bluetooth at the same time with Froyo?

How to connect two sets of bluetooth headphones with the same phone at the same time.
It seems to me that it requires os level changes. Do you agree? or can it be done with an app?
It seems like an obvious improvement, useful for two people running together, or on a plane together. I wonder why no one has made this happen yet?
found an app that will allow me to send audio to a bluetooth receiver / speaker AND allow me to use headphones / wired speaker at the same time??
I'm not rooted. If this could be done via rooting, I might just consider doing it.
AND, while I'm asking, can the audio signal be sent to and received by two different bluetooth receivers at the same time? I currently only have one bluetooth audio receiver, so I can't try it.
I know this might be a silly question and probably not usefull to many but i am trying to connect audio out via bluetooth and out the headset jack at the same time

Does anyone have a resolution for this? Perhaps static IP? if this is the answer, what should the settings be?
I was thinking about getting one of those Seagate go flex satellite drives that connects to your device via wifi and allows you stream files. If I have my phone connected to the drive via wifi can I still use the 3g or 4g connection of my phone to access the internet? I have a Droid x now and am planning on getting a Rezound in the near future.

So here is the problem, when I go around town. My phone will connect to the wifi network around town. It will keep connecting and disconnecting to the wifi and data network. Making my IP phone and IM apps act weird.
Is there anyway to keep both wifi and 4g data on at the same time. I know the old app superpower on xda does it on some roms. but doesnt work on stock Razr HD.
BTW I have a Motorola Razr HD stock 4.1.2 canadian rom (rogers) rooted.

Sometimes it fails connect, and I have to go into Settings to try again. Is there a way/app to scan automatically or re-attempt to connect again? Maybe there's something I'm not thinking of?
View 1 Replies View RelatedMy droid razr asks for my password to my home wifi every time i go out of range and then come back and try to connect again. Using netgear wnr2000 with wpa. If i input my password and press connect, it lets me use wifi just fine. Updated netgear to latest firmware last night and browsed through all settings, but didn't see anything that might make a difference. Still does it today. Even just going out in the yard and back, have to re-enter pass if i got out of range. Doesn't happen with any other devices i use... laptops, other phones. Even reserved the ip that my phone currently had on the netgear for the phone.

The wifi on my phone Samsung Galaxy Chat will not turn on all of a sudden. Same is the issue with Bluetooth.
The wifi button in the drop down screen is kind of greyed out and when settings is opened the [off-on] is greyed out. In wifi settings it just says "turning on...".
All firmware up to date. Phone isnt damaged or dropped. I have restarted the phone many times and also performed factory reset twice and cleared the cache too.
Often times "like aboard an airplane" there's someone you want to talk with, but can't, because they're in a different seat. Is there any app that would allow people to:
a) send messages to other Android phones via bluetooth
b) sent messages by connecting to a common wifi network (yet not connected to the internet)
c) create an ad-hoc network and send messages that way.
Would any of those be feasible at all?
I have a single user access to a Wifi device on my macbook. I'd like to use my HTC evo and sisters iPhone on the Wifi also. Is there any way I can broadcast the wifi from one of my devices. I know if I had my laptop hardwired I could share the Wifi, but I've not found anything to do Wifi to Wifi. or Wifi to Bluetooth. Any know, I don't have data plans on the cell phones as I am out of town.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI bought a stereo bluetooth receiver from DealExtreme for $13 so I could use it in my car. It has a built in mic, so if calls come in, I can pick them up, but I drive a convertible, so it's too noisy in the car to use that.
I also have a jawbone bluetooth headset that I use in the car...it works great for phone calls in a noisy enviroment.
I just discovered that if I go to Settings:Wireless Controls:Bluetooth Settings and long press on the BCK-08 (the stereo bluetooth module), I can select options, and uncheck the 'phone audio'.
Now, I can use both at the same time...and the cool thing is that if a call comes in while listening to music, it mutes the music till I hang up, then starts it back up where it left off!
Just taken delivery of a UK edition Samsung Galaxy S. Connecting it to my car audio via bluetooth no problems but it drops the 3G/H network connection as soon as it connects to the car. Disconnect the Bluetooth and I get the data connection back. Is this deliberate or a bug? It means I can't receive emails etc whilst in my car unless I turn off Bluetooth.

After the OTA update my phone no longer sleeps when I have wifi enabled. So now I'm killing my battery by using my home/work wifi routers instead of taxing sprints network connecting to 3g.
